**READ PLEASE** (I guess...)

Disclaimer: Hey. Review positively please! Thank you! I don't own The Legend of Zelda or characters. I'm terribly sorry that last chapter was so rushed, I was tired. I only got three hours of sleep the night before I wrote that chapter. Well, I have a great idea for this chapter, and I'm doing it now, so I won't forget it! Well, let's go! :D

...

Nick's PoV:

I wake up. When I open my eyes, my vision starts to clear. Once my vision clears, I see that I'm in my basement. I feel levitated above the ground. I feel that my arms are above my head. I look up and I see that my arms are tied, and the rope's attached to the ceiling of the basement. I look over and see Dr. Lanford tied to a chair, still unconscious. I look over to the basement floor, where I see my Mother laying there, also unconscious. At least... I hope she is... I start to whisper, "Ma? Dr. Lanford?" but I can't with a rag tied over my mouth. Why didn't I notice it there before?... I suddenly hear a sinister laugh... Oh, crap... What's going to happen to me?...

Maria's PoV:

We look all around Hyrule Castle Town, but we can't find anything... So, we decide to head back out to Hyrule Field...

...

Once we're back out on Hyrule Field, I ask, "Saria, where should we look?"

"Nick's house has to be around here someplace... So, let's look all around the field," Saria answers.

"Sounds good," And we start searching around Hyrule Field...

Nick's PoV:

... I suddenly hear a sinister laugh... Oh, crap... What's going to happen to me?... Then, there's a shadow that appears on the staircase. It creeps down the stairs. I finally see the feet, the legs, the arms and body, and finally, the face. My step-Father, who says he's "Ganondorf".

He creeps up to me, with a sinister smile, and says, "Hello, boy. I finally have you right where I want you," He cups my face in his hand. "You and I, boy... we're gonna have some fun... Heh heh heh heh heh!"

I try to shout, "No! No!" but I can't!

"Do you see them over there?" No duh... "Once I'm through with you, you'll watch them suffer..." He roughly lets go of me. He snaps his fingers, and a whip appears in his hand! I gasp, then I'm whipped across the face! I squeal out in pain! "How does that feel, boy? Heh heh heh..." I hold back the tears that want to burst out of my eyes! I keep shaking my head "no", but it doesn't do any good, because he just whips me across my chest, effectively tearing my black shirt... Again, I squeal out in pain. Why is this Ganondorf doing this to me?...

Saria's PoV:

Maria and I are searching all around Hyrule Field for any sign of Nick and/or Dr. Lanford, but we have no luck... Wait a minute! I think I see Dr. Lanford's horse! It's by this one house! "Come on, Maria! I think I see Dr. Lanford's horse!"

"OK! Come on, Saria!" Maria says, with determination. And we head to that house...

...

Once we get there, I know that it's for sure Dr. Lanford's horse! Maria and I hop down from our horses and head inside. Once we're inside, it seems that nobody's home... Maria places her finger up to her lips, gesturing for me to be quiet. We tiptoe over to a door that's in the living room. We peek down the stairs, only to see that it's a basement. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, until we hear the sound of a whip and a silent squeal. We bend over, only to see a man whipping Nick, who's tied up, gagged, and bleeding. We also see Dr. Lanford tied to a chair, unconscious. And we see a woman lying on the floor, also unconscious. "What are we gonna do?" I mouth to Maria.

"I don't know," she mouths back. What if we grab a weapon from the kitchen and get the man from behind? Yeah! That should work! I think.

I gesture for her to come in to the kitchen with me. I go to the drawer and pull out a knife and whisper, "We can use this to attack the man from behind,"

"That's a great idea!" she whispers. We tiptoe back over to the basement door and tiptoe down the stairs ever so quietly. We make it on the platform before the next set of stairs that lead down to the floor. We tiptoe as quietly as we can down this set of stairs. Nick doesn't notice us, until he looks over the man's shoulder. He widens his eyes, but pretends we're not here. I sneak up to the man, but of course, right at that moment, he turns around. Though, he has a wicked grin. So, I'm guessing he knew we were already here...

"Hello," he says, still with that wicked grin. "What brings you here?"

"If you really want to know, we came here to save our friend: Nick!" I say.

"Well, little missy, I'm afraid that's not going to happen..." His grin grows wider.

"Not so fast!" says a voice behind us. The woman that was on the floor is now standing up, and she doesn't look too happy...

"Ma!" I make out what Nick said.

"Let. My. Son. Go. Now. Ganondorf." She glares at the man, who's called "Ganondorf".

"Do you really think I'll let your son go, Mrs. Mumford? Do you even know who he really is?"

"I know that he's an innocent little boy, who's not the hero you think is..." Mrs. Mumford says, still glaring at Ganondorf.

"Nick?... A hero?..." I say to myself, in disbelief.

"Of course. Since the little brat, Link, who was supposed to be the hero, passed away, Nick's the Goddesses' replacement choice..." I look up at Ganondorf, wide-eyed, when he says "Link".

"Link... was a... hero?..." I say to myself, in disbelief.

"Of course, my dear child," Ganondorf cups my face in his hand. "That's why the two look so much alike." I cringe away from him. "Now, if you want to believe that Nick's the true hero, come to Hyrule Field and watch me fight this little brat..." Ganondorf snaps his fingers and disappears...

Once Ganondorf disappears, the rope and the rag disappear from Nick's wrists and mouth. He collapses to the floor, breathing heavily. Dr. Lanford's binds also disappear. He starts to wake up from unconsciousness. "Where... Where am I?..." he barely asks.

"You're in our basement," Mrs. Mumford says to Dr. Lanford, as she helps him out of the chair.

"What's going on?..." Dr. Lanford barely asks.

"My son... he's... he's apparently a hero. I don't know what to do..." Mrs. Mumford answers. "Ganondorf was beating him down here..." Mrs. Mumford looks down at the floor, with sorrow and worry—her long brown hair curling down, covering her soft blue eyes.

"Don't be cowards! Bring Nicholas Mumford to Hyrule Field, or else, you're all doomed!..." a voice echoes in the basement. That's Ganondorf's voice!

"I... I can't let my son battle that monster..."

"Mrs. Mumford, you have to!" I beg. "It's his destiny! He's our only hope!"

"But... he's my son..."

"Ma... I'll do it..." Nick says, weakly.

"No," Mrs. Mumford runs over to Nick and helps him up from the floor. "I'm not letting my son get injured in a battle, let alone killed! Especially when you're this weak!"

"Ma, I'm not weak! I'm fine. I'm sore but fine..."

Mrs. Mumford hugs her son. "Please, be careful... Do what you have to do, but be careful..."

"I will, Ma. Don't worry," Nick assures her.

She lets go of him, kisses him on the head, and says, "Good luck," She looks up at the ceiling and says, "We're ready now, Ganondorf..." Sparkles surround us, and a few seconds later, we all disappear...

To be Continued...

A/N: Thanks for reading! Review positively please! Thanks! Now, is this a better length for a chapter? I'm so sorry about that last one... This chapter took longer to write than it should have, because I was listening to songs from Nobuyuki Hiyama (Adult Link! XD)! Sometimes, I had to stop writing to play the song, blah, blah, blah... My favourite song from him is Chimi Chimi Moryo (it's in Japanese)! ^_^ Anyways, the next chapter should be up as soon as possible! I'm going to work on Twin next! Love yas! :D

See ya,
