I get up in the morning and see two gleaming black eyes staring at me. I smirked "Well little fox, I'm guessing you need to eat and go about your business but I need to check and redress your wounds."
His head ducks down into a sort of nod as I check and re-bandage them.
I pet him "Those are pretty bad cuts Takara-kun, you'll need to rest for at least a week. I could sense poison but that has all been removed. Though you'll need to rest as to regain your strength." I give him a grin "But seeing as I am "sick", I'm more than willing to keep you company till you are better."
He gives a bark, that sounds almost like a laugh, and curls up next to me.
Suddenly the phone rings and I throw a pillow but it misses. The message starts to play in a mix of Russian and Japanese.
"Allo sonsa moya! It is me, I miss you so much. It's not the same without you! The teachers dare to forget your legacy! And actually think they can boss me around! So I'm moving over, and no one can stop me! We'll threaten your parents if, god forbid they do notice, with each of their dirty little secrets. It's a plan! Do svidaniya, sonsa moya. Oh, and tell the humans they've been warned. Illieva Yuri is coming to Japan and show the ningens why we are superior!"
Despite the weird feeling I got when I learnt he was moving (because Yuri adored Russia and everything that it was, hence the whole reason that he hadn't immediately followed me to Japan)I snicker and dial his cell. He answered on the first ring "Allo Azichka! I missed you! You weren't ditching me for some a boy, were you?" I smirk "Da, he's even one of my own kind." I heard a gasp "This is betrayal at its finest! Whatever happened to waiting for each other?" I roll my eyes "You are such a kit, Yushenka."
He chuckles "I know but I had to ask. I want to know what I'm up against." "Yes, right, like ningens stand much of a threat." "Yea, how's training going? You haven't gone on another heist without me have you?"
I bit my lip, changing to Russian just to disguise it from the little kit curled next to me. "I went on one but I promise it didn't get far." I could just see his pouting face "Oh, Azushka, that hurts. Insert heartbroken sigh. Anyway, have you taken any ningen boys for toys yet?" I roll my eyes, he loved gossip.
He was into the whole competition thing. He chuckles "That many, huh?" I blush and say "No, I haven't, and I'm glad. I would hate my stunted emotions to crush their little, fragile hearts." He huffs "So boring. You're making this too easy for me. Kitsunes love the thrill of the chase, you know." I sigh "Considering you are continents away, it wouldn't be much of a chase regardless. Besides, I wanna go home!"
He exhales slowly "Da, I wish you could too but those people are after you. They cannot know. Anyway I'll see you in a week, I gotta go, I'm doing something." "What's her name?" "Ekaterina, poka azichka!" "Bye Yushka, be safe." "Love ya too, sonsa moya."
He hung up and I scratch my head "God that guy gets laid more then Youko." I turn and see Takara staring at me questionably. I sigh "C'mon fox, lets go before you wet my floor." He barks and races outta my room but I beat him outside. I smirk and say "You lost." He growls and walks into the underbrush. He comes back out and goes inside. I feed him and then we rest on the couch.
I sat there, stroking his fur absentmindedly as I pondered why Yuri wanted to come here all of a sudden? He hated change. When we had to flee to Ningenkai, it took him so long to overcome his depression. Why would he start anew someplace so far away? After he had been sure that there was no new threat in Ningenkai, he seemed to revel in his independence. Could it be that something had come here?
I shook my head- of course not. Otherwise Yuri would have told me and already be here. I sighed.
All I had to do was wait till Yuri came.
