"Here," Athena pointed to one side of the hallway. "On this side, is the girls, on the other, is the boys. Now, I expect no funny business from you." Jace and Tobias laughed at the comment while all the girls blushed. Annabeth looked down and mumbled a "mum!"
"Good night." Athena then proceeded to stroll back into the Throne Room, where the rest of the gods were talking. The group then ended up breaking up into girls and boys and they all got ready to go to sleep. While Tris and Clary didn't hesitate in joining their boyfriends, the rest of the girls were a little more wary.
In the girl's room, everyone had already decided who was going to have which bed. All the girls moved their beds into circle and everyone sat around. Clarisse rolled her eyes as she saw that everyone was starting to get ready for a 'girly' talk. "Oh come on Clarisse! Everyone needs some girl time every now and then!" Ginny laughed from her top bunk that she was sharing with Hermione. Clarisse shook her head and eventually joined then, opting to sit on the floor.
"So, does any one have anything to spill?" Ginny's gossipy younger self began to seep in as she looked around the room scanning everyone's face. Annabeth sighed, " Okay." Everyone's attention was turned to Annabeth as the blushed and looked down. "I have something I need help with." Hermione nodded kindly for her to continue. Taking a deep breath she let it all out, "I really want to be with Percy, but the thing is, you know how much my mother hates Poseidon and 'Barnacle Breath's little sea spawn." Annabeth imitated her mother. "You, know, through out this whole book reading thing so far, I haven't been able to talk to Percy properly you know? I'm honestly am really scared my mother is going to not let me date Percy anymore."
Clarisse snorted, "Yeah, if you guys ever break up, I think all of us would be so annoyed! It took you long enough!"
Annabeth flushed and looked down as Thalia nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I think the sexual tension was driving all of us crazy."
Hermione leaned forward and rested a small hand on Annabeth's shoulder. "In Ginny's words, 'Screw your mum'" Ginny smirked and nodded in approval. "But I personally think you should just sit down one day with your mother and just straight up tell her that your dating Percy." All the girls nodded in agreement. Annabeth smiled and told the others that they should go to sleep if they didn't want to be tired in the morning.
Once everyone had fallen asleep, Annabeth was still lying there in her bed, picking at the hem of the mattress cover, a million things flying through her head at once. After a long while, she slipped slowly into sleep that then suddenly turned to nightmares. Disturbing memories from the war swam through her head as she tossed and turned, images of Luke's final moments plagued her mind. Finally, she had woken up, huffing and puffing, cold sweat dripping down her back. Annabeth looked around. No one else was awake. Slowly, her feet touched slowly to the ground and she creeped over to the door, wincing as it squeaked when she opened it. Annabeth then sneaked into the boy's room. It was pitch black and she couldn't see a thing. Where is Per-BAM! "Who are you?" She heard a male voice ask. Luckily, it was dark so that whoever was there didn't see her red face. A sudden light came from his side where the boy was holding a small torch. Annabeth looked up to see Peeta, someone she didn't really know well, Katniss and Peeta never really contributed to the conversation. "Are you alright Annabeth?" he asked softly, not wanting to wake the others. Annabeth nodded, "Nightmares." She mumbled.
Peeta gave her a sympathetic look, "Katniss and I get those too." Peeta cocked his head to the right, where Percy lied. Annabeth smiled and awkwardly said goodbye before Peeta when into the bathroom. Annabeth softly sat on the edge of Percy's bed and shook him slightly. Murmuring, Percy turned around slowly. "Who's that?" He asked while groping the air. Annabeth just smiled and crawled in next to him. "Wise Girl? Are you okay?" Percy asked. Nodding, Annabeth snuggled up to Percy's chest while his arms circled around her waist and they both fell sound asleep.
(A/N) Look guys, I completely understand that this chapter is completely horrible but i kinda needed something to tell you guys about my updating schedule. Over the school holidays, I have been attending one of those weird scholarship classes (*sigh* Asian parent problems) and the work load is HUGE! I won't be able to work on this story until about January 27th but as soon as i have time, I promise you that I'm going to be working my butt off!
I'm just saying that I love every single one of you who have reviewed, followed or favourited and it means the world to me if you do. I'm not asking you to put me on your favourites list but as all writers are, we all want to make our readers the happiest and the only way we can improve is for others to tell us what needs to be improved. :) This chapter (If it even counts as one) is very bad as I literally wrote this in a couple of minutes, not my best piece of work but i don't want to be the author who just sends them a message and that's all. So, thanks guys for understanding and I hope you guys have a brilliant holiday!
P.S Anyone else who is living in Australia feeling the heat? Holy Hera THE WHOLE WEEK IS BOILING! People who live in a city starting with 'M' will understand my confusion on a whole week with the same temperatures.
