While at a nearby convenience store, Dipper saw that they sold the panda ducks. He immediately bought one and planned to give it to Wendy, but never did because of what happened with Robbie. He kept it hidden behind a rack of shirts in the Mystery Shack, pulling it out when he felt particularly lonely. One day while Wendy was climbing the ladder to the roof she spotted the panda duck and immediately knew that Dipper had put it there. She took it without him knowing. The next time Dipper reached for it and it wasn't there, he knew that Wendy had taken it. The thought cheered him up way more than the stuffed toy would have.
