Hey, I hope you enjoy!
"How long has this been going on for?" I asked worriedly turning on the kitchen sink letting the cold droplets of streaming water fill up the glasses.
"Si- since I've been in hospital!" she whimpered taking shaky breaths as I slowly made my way towards her. "It started off as a few little images but then each night the dream gets a bit further and I can't take it anymore. I was happy that I couldn't remember anything about the phone call I got the night I went into hospital. But then slowly I've started to remember everything" she wailed breathing deeply.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I sighed placing the glasses on the table then rubbing her back.
"I wanted to" she squeaked before taking a sip of water.
"Then why didn't you?" I mumbled softly kissing her head before taking a seat next to her.
"I couldn't" she sighed disappointed in herself.
"You can tell me anything Cals-"
"I know" she interrupted quietly slowly moving the glass side to side creating a ripple effect in the glass. "As stupid as it sounds I was just worried that if I said it out loud, he would know, if I mentioned his name he would hear me and hunt me down" she whispered as we sat in the darkness of the kitchen with only a dim lamp to help us see each other slightly.
"I know what you thought Callie. You thought if you showed weakness then everything would be over, everything you've worked hard to cover up would be brought to the surface again. But it doesn't have to happen that way Callie. You need to remember that you can trust me, all of us. We won't give up on you Callie. It doesn't matter how many people in past have. All you've needed to do is search in life. Search for the people that won't give up in the heat of the battle; leave you unarmed and let you take the fall. We're not that kind of people. We are here for you Callie, and whoever he is won't change that" I said lovingly as my hand reached out to hers rubbing it soothingly.
"It's not you guys I doubt it's him. I'm afraid to put you guys in danger" Callie whimpered as she came over to me and sat on my lap.
"If anyone is in danger, it's him" I growled in disgust. "Come one lets go back you need sleep baby, and if it happens again, please; just wake me up" I sighed as I standing up slowly carrying her back up to my room.
Callie's Pov
"When did you lose your legs?" Stef chuckled as I gripped onto Brandon loosely as he gave me a piggyback down the stairs into the kitchen.
"She's had a bit of a rough night" Brandon sighed as he sat down on one of the spare seats left at the table before placing me on his lap. Since last night we've barely broken contact, not that either of us minded. Just by him being around me made me feel more secure and it help him know that I was safe.
"Oh?" Lena asked worriedly.
"She's fine now though, right Cals? He said wrapping my arm around my waist protectively.
"Yeah I'm fine" I said smiling slightly. I guess I feel a little bit more at ease than last night. I really want to tell Brandon who I mean but I can't. I've never said his name out loud since that night, I don't know how I'll cope if I hear myself say it.
"So were leaving at 7:30 I take it Brandon told you about us leaving for a few days?" Stef asked as she passed over a stack of pancakes to us both.
"Yeah, thanks" I said as I slowly took the pancakes from her. "Actually would you mind if we came with you? Just for two days and then we could drive back in time for my hospital appointment on Wednesday, if that's ok with you?" I asked hopefully. Brandon and I agreed that the best thing for me right now was to be surrounded by everyone. I know I didn't want to go last time we were meant to but I guess things have changed since then. Even if this family isn't going to be my legal family on court paper anytime soon it may possibly be one day... maybe, I don't know. But I may as well make an effort right?
"If that's what you want my sweets, I'm happy you want to meet the family" Stef said happily as she got up to do the dishes.
"Go on and pack then because we're leaving in twenty minutes" Lena said as she began to help clear the table.
"Sure" I sighed as I handed my plate to Stef. Before I could even stand up Brandon got up taking me with him carrying me bridal style upstairs.
"Do you have to leave me?" I pouted as he placed me on the ground outside Mariana's room.
"I don't want to" he pouted snaking his arms around my waist.
"Well we can always..." I mumbled against his lips standing on my toes.
"You're going to be the death of me" he grunted huskily lifting me of the ground slightly.
"Ugh! Why don't you to get a room and put the music on" Mariana groaned in disgust as she kicked the door shut.
"Wait?" Brandon asked as I laughed against his lips.
"We never told her the truth. Now every time she hears music in your room she thinks were having sex!" I laughed hysterically.
"Well if she already thinks that then I guess we could just-"
"Don't even think about it" I interjected sternly waking him on the chest.
"Any excuse Callie" he smirked still holding my waist in place.
"What?" I asked lent on his chest.
"We both know you'll find any excuse to hit my chest or lean on it for that matter" he smirked running his hands through my hair
"N-no" I stammered pulling away from his chest quickly.
"Oh and to answer the question that's swarming inside your head right now, yes I've have been working out lately" he smirked.
"One that's not what I've been thinking and two when did you get so much more like Jesus?" I marvelled staring at his chest through his tight muscle t-shirt.
"Oh please who do you think trained him?" he smirked popping a fake collar.
"In your dreams" I laughed shoving his shoulder.
"Oh so now you want me to dream about you now? And you love my biceps?" he chuckled knowing he was winning this one.
"Oh shut up" I laughed blushing about the biceps.
"If that's all you want you've already got it" I whispered in my ear seductively strutting down the hallway to pack.
Wow he looks good I thought as I stared at the ass of his retreating figure. Maybe I love his hard chest and his new found biceps but he doesn't need to know that.
"Are you actually going to pack or do you still need to get your tongue down his throat? Mariana chuckled as she struggled to heave her suitcases of the bed.
"Ha ha very funny" I replied rolling my eyes as I walked towards her.
"Ugh how much stuff do you have in here!" I groaned as I heaved one of them of the bed. "And how many do you need?" I asked bewildered by how many suitcases she has.
"As many as I can get, always be prepared for every fashion emergency Callie" She said seriously walking over to my closet.
"And how are you going to carry all this?" I questioned as I stood watching her go through all the clothes.
"Callie you've got brother power, use it. Jesus and Brandon always carry my bags for me. Now I have three brothers to help me" she explained throwing clothes onto my bed.
"Jude will get squished to death if he tries to lift one of those" I laughed as she flung another set of clothes landing on top of me. "Okay Mariana you can pack for me if you want but please keep it go a one bag minimum" I sighed shaking the clothes of me.
"Fine, that won't be that hard since you don't have many things anyway" she grumbled flinging everything around the room left, right and centre.
"When you've moved around as much as I have you don't really have many belongings"
"I guess I'll just have to get use to one monkey from now on" Mariana sighed as she started to put everything into my bag.
"Monkey?" I asked as I started folding clothes as well.
"They guys are my little monkeys that do whatever I say. Now Brandon will be your little chauffeur, you're lucky you're my sister" Mariana grinned closing my bag with ease. "Will you help me close this last bag?" Mariana asked sheepishly as she moved out the way to reveal a suitcase filled to the brim of the clothes spilling out everywhere.
"You've got to be kidding me" I muttered as I sat down on top of the suitcase.
"Ugh you're too light" she sighed as she fumbled with the zip.
"Were leaving in five" Jude announced standing in the doorway.
"Ugh come here buddy" I whined as Mariana got the zip stuck.
I pulled him onto my lap trying to create a little extra weight on the case. "Finally" Mariana shouted dancing around the room happily.
"Were not helping you close it next time. Ask Brandon and his new found muscle to do it" I said sarcastically knowing I secretly meant it.
"What?" Mariana asked confused grabbing her handbag from the floor.
"Nothing" I chuckled as I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs.
"Duty calls" I laughed pointing upstairs.
"Oh great" Jesus chuckled as he ran upstairs.
"All ready?" Brandon asked grabbing the bag that was in my hands.
"I think so, I don't really have much to bring" I replied as he placed his arm around me. "Y' know I'm really digging this new muscle tee phase" I smirked as he placed my bag in the back.
"I thought you might" he laughed as we both got in the car. "You know it sucks that we can't show people how much we love each other" He sighed as we waved to Mr Atkins across the road, keeping a safe distance between us of course.
"I know but we don't want to jeopardise me and Jude, anyone could see and then contact the authorities" I sighed as I sat next to him keeping a safe distance between the two of us in the back of the car as Brandon waved to a lady walking past.
"No one cares about us Callie" he said shuffling closer to me.
"You would be surprised what people will do to get some drama back into their lives" I retorted pushing him back to his original place. Groaning he slid back into his chair as everyone else climbed into the car, Mariana, Jesus and Jude in the middle on the row before us and Lena and Stef in front.
"Gees man how you are going cope to when you're back at school? Sexy notes in the locker and hot make out sessions in the janitor's closet" Jesus smirked turning to face us.
"Jesus!" Lena scolded as she put the keys in the ignition.
"No he's right thanks for the ideas man" Brandon laughed reaching over to fist bump him before I whacked him back down into his seat. "Oh c'mon like you would protest to that" he teased moving his eye-brows suggestively.
"Jude I feel sorry for you having to sit next to him next time you're sitting in the back with me" I groaned as Brandon and Jesus started to goof off at another thing that I probably really don't want to know about.
"Hey what about me, never leave a sister behind!" Mariana retorted playfully as she whacked Jesus in the arm as he leaned over her and Jude to give something to Brandon.
"You're right they can sit in the back next time!" I laughed as Jesus fell down on top of Mariana after losing his balance.
"JESUS!" she shrieked as he crushed her down into her seat.
"Relax chica" he grinned as he flopped back down into his seat lazily.
"Guys calm down! We've only made it down three streets and you're already doing our heads in" Stef groaned as she readjusted the pillow around her neck.
"How many more hours of this do we have until this is all over?" I sighed as Brandon and Jesus calmed down a little, only a little.
"Another five so get comfy" Mariana replied sarcastically.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked as a quiet Brandon stared down the road intently.
"Wait" he said abruptly holding a finger to my lips without turning around.
"Brandon-"
"Shhh" sighing I glanced out the window to see the sign of the next town approaching us. "We are now out of that place and nobody know us" he sighed happily pulling me into his arms as much as my seat belt would let him.
"You're such a weirdo" I giggled as I placed my head on his chest playing with the material of his shirt slightly. "Yeah I'm definitely liking this muscle tee phase" I smirked running my hand down his torso.
"Wow this is not the janitors' closet!" Jesus complained as he threw the magazine that Mariana tossed on the floor towards us.
"Well I guess the back of the car will have to do" I smirked as I pressed my lips against Brandon's.
