Battle of the Girls
Orchimaru stepped forward.
"Stop!" Kakashi moved into a fighting position with his chidori in hand. "I don't care if you are of the three legendary shinobi. If you take another step toward Sasuke one of us won't leave this place."
"Then come at me when my back is turn if you dare." Orchimaru turned around and left the area.
Kakashi took a breath in relief, ending his jutsu. "I must be out of my mind."
"The next match is Sakura Haruno vs. Ino Yamanaka vs. Karin," Hayate announced.
The three girls walked down to the bottom floor. Sakura and Ino stood across from each other while Karin stood across from Hayate. Karin shifted her eyes between the other two kunochi. Maybe I should try to fall back and let these two go at it first. No that won't work they're from the same village. Most likely they'll try to double team me to get me out first.
I went to focus on Ino, but I can't forget about that other girl, Sakura said in her mind. She shifted her eyes at her other opponent.
Sakura is a loser I can take her no problem, Ino thought to herself. She focused on the other kunochi. But I have no idea what she could do. I'll have to be careful.
Naruto had his arms crossed on the railing, leaning forward. Kakashi had already return and leaned against the wall with both his arms and legs crossed as he watched the battle that was about to begin. Naruto wanted to cheer Karin on, but knew it would be too strange to cheer for someone who wasn't even from his village. So he restrained himself and prepared to watch the match in silence.
Hayate brought his hand down. "Let the match begin!"
All three kunochi rushed toward the middle of the floor. Each kept their eyes peeled to see how the other two would react. Sakura started off the fight by throwing her fist right at Ino's head.
Ino caught the fist before it could connect then threw back. She then swung a roundhouse kick at Sakura that she blocked with her forearm. Karin took the chance to sweep the other two girls' legs from under them.
Both Sakura and Ino caught themselves and flipped backwards to give all three girls some space. Sakura threw several kunai at the other kunochi.
Ino managed to catch them between her fingers as Karin knocked them away with her own kunai. Sakura followed up her first attack with a shuriken throw. Ino tossed the kunai she caught to knock the shuriken out of the air.
The blond kunochi charged forward, decking Sakura in the face before she realized what she done. Sakura hit the ground hard.
Karin quickly took advantage of Ino's shocked state by striking her in the ribs with her foot. Ino also crashed to the ground.
Ino and Sakura both shot a leg up to kick Karin right in the stomach that sent her flying. She crashed on her back, sliding back.
Each of the girls slowly rose back up to their feet. Karin placed her arm over her stomach as she glared at her two opponents. She pulled out two kunai knives with her other hand and tossed one at each kunochi.
Both Ino and Sakura yanked out a kunai. They knocked away the kunai that came at them. "We'll take you out first." The two leaf kunochi charged for the red hair girl.
Naruto latched onto the railing in front of him so hard his hands trembled. He glared in frustration at the girls double teaming Karin. He clenched his teeth, letting out a low growl.
Orchimaru appeared simply amused, ready to see what would happen next.
Sakura and Ino came right at the red head. Karin moved out of the way of their attack over to Ino's side. Ino twisted in the girl's direction just as Karin threw a punch at her. Ino easily caught it and held the fist so Karin couldn't move.
Ino smiled. "You're not getting away."
Karin struggled to break free.
"Go ahead, Sakura," Ino said.
Sakura spun around on Ino's side and roundhouse kicked Karin across the face. "Cha!" Karin spun onto the ground and slid back from the sudden assault on her face. The girl's glasses flew off and cracked on impact.
"Too bad for her she's fighting two leaf ninja," Kiba mocked. "She doesn't stand a chance being double teamed like that."
"All three of their skill levels seem the same," Shino responded. "So having a two on one fight does put her at a disadvantage."
Hinata shifted her attention over to the blond boy beside her. "Naruto?" She saw the boy was clearly upset.
Asuma had his arms folded across his chest. "Well, I certainly didn't expect those two to work together."
"It's the smart choice," Shikamaru said. "Take down the unknown then they can focus on each other." Shikamaru looked at the sight rather bored while Choji was busy stuffing his face full of chips.
"Is this really the best kunochi can do in hand to hand combat?" Neji questioned. His arms were folded across his chest while he watched the match.
"Things are just getting started, Neji," Tenten said.
Lee held his fist in front of his chest. "That is right. My dear Sakura is only getting started."
Naruto's eyes narrowed. "Come on," Naruto whispered he silently encouraged his fellow Uzumaki.
Karin picked up her glasses. She had managed to sit up as she placed the frames back on her face. She picked herself up again as she watched her two opponents get ready to attack her again. She brushed off her knees to ready herself.
She adjusted her glasses. "I suppose I have no choice."
"What to give up?" Ino questioned.
"Oh, yeah." Sakura grabbed her bicep with a smug look on her face.
Chakra rushed forward that sent both the blond and pink hair girls flying backward with their sides cut and their clothes slashed. The two kunochi screamed out to everyone's shock.
Lee leaned over the railing. "What is that?"
"Whoa!" Tenten exclaimed.
Neji narrowed his eyes. "I've never seen a jutsu like this before."
"No, it can't be," Anko said.
The third hokage stared in amazement. "I never thought I would see that jutsu again. So she must be from that clan."
Four chakra chains had shot out of Karin's back that had struck Ino and Sakura. The grass ninja then had her chains slap the two away from each other into opposite walls. Dust flew out of the walls that covered the bodies.
"Ino," Shikamaru called. He grabbed onto the railing, shocked at the sudden new jutsu the grass kunochi had released. "If she had power like that why didn't she use it early?"
"Maybe she didn't want anyone to know about it," Asuma said.
Two chains flew toward each girl, trapping them to the walls. The two leaf kunochi struggled to break free, but weren't strong enough to break the chakra made chains. They grind their teeth.
Karin tightened the chains on the girls that had them screaming. A drip a sweat rolled down the side of her face. She breathed heavily. I haven't fully mastered this jutsu yet so I need to finish this fast, Karin thought.
The chains tightened even harder and it seemed like Karin was about to break their fragile bodies.
Hayate raised his hand. "That's enough! The winner is Karin."
Karin smirked, relieved she didn't have to go further. Her chains retracted back inside her and she stood up straight.
Ino and Sakura slumped to the ground weak and unconscious.
