Kunochi Rumble

The third hokage raised his eyebrow. "That technique. It's the same as hers."

Kakashi and Asuma leaped down to the ground and picked up their fallen students in their arms before, jumping back up to the balcony to put them down to rest against the walls. Naruto had his eyes focused on Karin. I've never seen that jutsu before, I wonder if I can learn it.

Karin walked over to the stairs and walked up them still weak from her battle with the other girls. She still had a long way to go in her combat abilities if she was going to survive in real fighting conditions. She stopped herself a few feet away from Naruto so they weren't too close.

She gazed over at the boy who smiled at her. She smiled gently back of him, proud she was able to win and know he was silently cheering her on.

Hayate turned toward the board. "We will now choose who will be in the next match." The board flashed the remaining names. Those that remained looked at the board to see if they would be the next in to rumble in the ring all silently hoping to fight someone or not fight a certain someone.

The board finally stopped on three names. "The next match will be between Tenten, Temari, and Hinata Hyuga," Hayate announced. "All three shinobi please step into the ring and prepare yourselves for battle."

Rock Lee gave Tenten a thumbs up. "Good luck, Tenten."

Tenten looked over at her teammate. "I'll be fine."

Kiba looked over at Hinata. "You be careful out there." Akumaru barked in agreement.

Hinata nodded.

"Make sure you win," Shino simply told her.

Kiba glared over at the bug sinobi with his fist balled up, shaking with anger. Who died and made you leader?

Hinata nervously shifted his eyes over to Naruto. Naruto's eyes fell on her and she instantly turned away blushing, fiddling her thumbs.

Kiba looked over at his female teammate. "Uh, Hinata you better get going."

Hinata snapped back into reality by the rough voice of her teammate. "Oh, right." She quickly hurried down the steps to meet up with the other two kunochi that were fighting in the preliminary rounds with her.

Tenten and Temari were already facing each other on the main floor. Hinata ran up to them to be in the center spot across from the instructor. Neither girl paid much attention to the new arrival. Temari had a smug smile on her face. "I'll end this fast so don't you worry," Temari said.

"Someone's cocky," Tenten said with great determination in her voice.

Hinata was greatly nervous. She couldn't even think of trash talking and her legs were just shaking like she wanted to run away from the entire thing. Things only grew worst when she choose to look up to see her cousin glaring at her.

She immediately looked back to the ground even more nervous. What should I do? Her gaze once again went up this time landing on Naruto, the boy she admired.

Hayate raised his hands. "Are all combatants ready?"

Tenten nodded. "Ready."

"Of course," Temari said.

That's right I have to be brave, Hinata thought. Hinata formed several hand signs with her eyes closed. She opened her eyes with her eye jutsu now set. "Byakugan! I'm ready." Hinata took up her fighting position, willing herself to prove herself.

Tenten and Temari finally took noticed of the Hyuga, seeing the determination in her eyes. What does she think she's tough now, looking like that?, Temari mused to herself. A smug expression was still on her face.

Temari looked at her seriously. It's just like Neji. I wonder how strong she really is?

Hayate brought his arms down. "Let the battle begin."

Tenten leaped back a couple of steps to measure her distance between both of her opponents.

Hinata eyed both of her opponents, checking out their chakra network. Tenten's chakra isn't bad, but Temari's its…

Temari had her hand on her hip, simply musing at her two opponents. She knew without a doubt she simply outclass these two leaf shinobi.

"Alright, here we go," Tenten declared. She decided she would test out the skills of a completely unknown opponent first. She leaped into the air and threw several needles in Temari's direction, however each one simply faze through the blond.

Tenten landed in utter shock. "What I miss?"

The same shock was felt by her team.

Temari had her fan held down on the ground beside her with the first of her three moons showing. She had her other hand rested on her hip as she stared confident at her opponent. "This is the first moon…"

Before the sand ninja could finish her explanation she caught Hinata charging toward her from the corner of her eye. Now's my chance, Hinata thought. Here I go. She thrust her palm forward, letting out a battle cry with all her might.

Temari gracefully spun around the Hyuga and slammed the frame of her fan right into the girl's back sending her crashing into the ground and sliding back. Temari laughed at the attempt. "Nice try."

"Hinata!" Kiba yelled.

A bead of sweat went down the side of Shino's face. "She's powerful."

"Hianta's timing was just a bit off," Kurenai said.

Neji just seemed annoyed by his cousin's efforts.

Temari stared down at Hinata like she was a bug. "You both should know I've only shown you the first moon so far once the last two moons are revealed you're both finish."

"We'll see about that," Tenten challenged. She leaped into the air, twisting a scroll around her like a ribbon. Several weapons released from the scroll going straight at Temari.

Hinata on the other hand struggled to get up after being hit so hard from Temari's first attack. She wasn't ready to give up just yet.

Temari opened up her fan further and swung it across her front. A gust of wind blasted away the weapons. "That's two," she warned.

Hinata came in to attack Temari once again. Temari simply jumped around her to slam her fan straight down on the ground. Hinata managed to use her Byakugan to see the attack coming and rolled under it.

Temari's fan hit the ground, shooting up a cloud of dust. Hinata spun around on her heels and thrust her palm filled with chakra at the older shiobi once again. If she could just get one chakra point it would give her the chance she needed.

Temari took a jump back and swung her fan again, shooting another stream of wind that sent Hinata flying into the wall behind her. Hinata screamed. Dust covered her form so it was impossible to see how she was doing.

Kiba gripped tightly onto the railing. He clenched his teeth, looking at how easily Hinata was being overwhelmed by the sand ninja. He knew how strong the guy with gourd was from witnessing it, but he had no idea the girl would be this powerful after seeing Shino able to defeat the other sand ninja.

Naruto was also very on edge. Though he didn't know Hinata well she was a ninja from his village and she and the girl from Lee's team were being so easily overwhelmed by a single shinobi and from the way things looked it seemed she was also stronger than Karin as well who defeated both Sakura and Ino.

Ino and Sakura had regained consciousness and were watching the match as well. They couldn't believe one person could overwhelm two opponents so easily.

Tenten glared at Temari. I've got no choice, but to release it it's the only way to beat her. Tenten went down on one knee and placed a scroll down on either side of her. She performed a number of hand signs.

She then crossed her arms and made her hands into fists. "Rising Twin Dragons!" A puff of smoke rose up and the scrolls shot up into the air, twisting around each other. Tenten launched herself into the air and spun around as weapon after weapon shot out of the scrolls.

Tenten threw weapon after weapon in great succession, shooting a wave of weapons at the fan user. Temari brushed them aside like they were nothing. Tenten then flipped back pulling on the wires that she attached to the weapons and pulled them off of the ground and threw them all straight at Temari for the second attack. I got you now.

Temari merely smiled, showing the third moon on her fan. She blasted all of the weapons away along with Tenten. "Now I'll finish this." She waved her fan again, creating a cyclone, capturing the girl in it, slicing at her skin and clothes like it was a game.

"She'll never be able to escape that vortex," Neji said. "She fought well, but she's lost this fight."

Tenten fell out of the vanishing vortex and slammed her back on Temari's fan, coughing up blood. Temari smiled at her handy work.

Suddenly something caught her attention from the corner of her eye. Hinata had rushed in from her side. She struck the proud shinobi right in her arm with her gentle fist that instantly messed with her chakra flow.

Temari was more than shock, but not enough to just escape Hinata's follow up attack. Rage had filled Temari's eyes as she glared at the determinate young woman who despite being greatly injured from her early attacks continued to fight.

Hinata kept coming like she would let noting stop her from winning this fight. Her convictions clear in her eyes. She thrust her palm forward once again, aiming for the girl's heart to weaken her further, but miss.

"You'll pay for that," Temari shouted. She swung her fan, throwing Tenten off of it and onto the ground while the frame crashed into Hinata's fragile body. Hinata went flying into another wall. Before the dust even cleared Temari went after her. She wouldn't make the same mistake twice. She had underestimated the Hyuga.

Neji looked slightly surprise that his cousin even managed to get a blow on the woman since Tenten couldn't and even more so how angry the sand girl had become.

"Take this, you sack of garbage," Temari shouted. She thrust her fan forward as the dust cleared to show Hinata was just standing there. The fan pushed into Hinata's gut, pushing her further into the wall. Hinata coughed up blood.

Temari was so enrage she pulled her fan off of Hinata. She flipped through the air, wrapping her legs around Hinata's neck and threw her forward, slamming her back on the ground. She then got back on her feet and slammed her fan into Hinata's back, getting her to scream.

Kiba leaned over the railing. "Hey, that's enough!"

"If Hinata keeps trying to fight Temari has no choose but to fight," Shino said in a matter of fact manner.

Hinata's hands trembled as she tried to push herself up one again. She had one eye open with her Byakugan now gone. Temari kicked the poor girl in her side. Hinata let out a yelp.

Temari swung her fan once again with all three moons showing, shooting a gust of wind that sent Hinata flying into the opposite wall. That had her just below her teammates. The dust around her quickly settled revealing her beaten form.

Hinata's eyes were barely open. "I…" The young Hyuga was unable to finish as she crashed to the ground unconscious.

"The winner is Temari."
