One month after Creed and Echidna got married; Creed had been busy job hunting. Unfortunately he had not had any luck yet. He was hoping that after two years it would have been easier to find a steady job. It was easier said than done and with Echidna currently working on a movie Creed wanted to have a job by the time she got back.

He sighed as he took another sip of his coffee. Looking at his watch Creed knew he had to get going soon. Focusing back on the help wanted ads Creed finished his cup of coffee. Creed then stood up and left their house. He then decided to give Charden a call to see if his friend could give him a ride into town. Taking out his cell phone Creed called Charden.

"Hello?"

"Charden, this is Creed, could you give me a ride to town?" Creed asked.

"Sure, I've got nothing planned today," Charden assured Creed.

"Thanks, I wouldn't have asked, but Echidna is shooting a movie," Creed explained.

"It's no problem; I'll see you in a while."

"Alright, bye."

"Bye, Creed," Charden then hung up.

Putting his phone back in his pocket Creed waited for Charden to show up. Creed locked the front door before sitting down in a chair on the front porch. Just as Creed got relaxed his phone rang. Sighing Creed reached into his pocket to get his cell phone. He smiled when he saw the name on the screen. Flipping his phone open Creed was still smiling, "Hello, sweetheart."

"Hello, my love," Echidna greeted.

"Not that I don't mind the phone call, but why did you call? You usually call me at night," Creed asked her.

"I had some free time this morning, so I thought I would call you," Echidna explained.

"Oh, I see. Well, I'm going out job hunting today."

"That's great; I hope you can find one, Creed."

Creed smiled, "Thank you, Echidna. I will try my hardest to get a job."

"So, who's taking you into town?" Echidna asked.

"Charden is, I've already called him," Creed explained.

"Well, I better get going in case they need me."

"Okay, I love you, sweetheart," Creed smiled.

"I love you too, babe," Echidna smiled.

"Bye."

"Bye," she then ended the phone call.

Creed put his phone back in his pocket and smiled yet again. He knew that Echidna smiled when she told him that she loved him. Even over the phone, Echidna would smile; she always had and always would.

Fifty minutes after his phone call with Echidna, Charden's car pulled up. He got out of the car and walked up to Creed, "Hello, Creed."

"Hello, Charden," He then stood up and started to walk with Charden back to Charden's car.

"So, where will we be going in town today?" Charden asked.

Creed held up the newspaper, "I've got a few places that I'm going to check out. You can hang out in one of the cafés until I'm done."

"Alright, just call me when you are done looking around," Charden told Creed.

Creed nodded, "Yeah, I will, Charden."

Charden and Creed got in the car and Charden started the engine then drove out of the Diskenth's driveway. He then headed to town so Creed can look for a job. They sat in silence on their way to town; not having anything to talk about.

Forty minutes later, Charden and Creed arrived in town. Charden drove to the café and stopped his car. He looked over at his best friend, "Well, hopefully you will find a job today."

Creed looked at Charden and nodded, "Yeah, I hope so too."

They both got out of the car and walked to the café door. Charden grabbed the door handle and looked at Cree, "Hopefully you will have luck in this town."

Creed nodded his head, "Yeah, I hope so too. I hate to think that my past decisions are coming back to haunt me."

"Well, I'll see you later," Charden then opened the door.

"Yeah, I'll meet you back here."

Charden nodded and walked into the café. Creed turned to his left and started walking down the sidewalk. He was hoping that Charden was right and that he would find a job in this town. Sighing Creed looked down at the paper and walked to the first business he had circled.

Soon it was time for lunch and Creed headed back to the café. He walked inside and walked over to the table Charden was sitting at.

Charden looked up at Creed, "Any luck so far?"

"No, not yet," Creed placed his elbows on the table, cupped his hands together, and placed his head on his hands, "No one will hire me and we even helped out two years ago to beat the Zero Numbers."

"I know what you mean, but it seems you're getting it a lot worse than the rest of us are."

Creed sighed, "I started the Apostles of the Stars."

Charden nodded, "I know."

Leaning back in his chair Creed looked at his wedding ring, "At least Echidna was able to return to acting."

"True and we can't forget that Kyoko and Leon are able to move on as well. Being so young," Charden took a sip of his tea.

Creed smiled, "Yes, Leon's friends were so happy when he returned and so were Kyoko's friends."

They decided to get some lunch and placed their orders. It didn't take long for their orders to get done. They started eating and continued talking.

Charden looked at Creed, "Have you ever thought about being Echidna's bodyguard?"

Creed, who was about to take a bit to eat, stopped and just stared at Charden. He then put his sandwich down, "She has a bodyguard already."

"I know, but have you ever thought about it?" Charden asked again.

Creed nodded, "Yeah, I have and it would be nice. I do miss her when she's working on a movie."

"Well, think about it and talk it over with Echidna," Charden then smirked, "Or you could go back to Chronos."

"I try not to get involved in Echidna's work too much," he then realized that Charden mentioned Chronos, "I don't want to go back to Chronos; I was an Eraser. Meaning I had to assassinate more people than the others."

Charden grinned, "Calm down, I was only kidding about Chronos."

Creed smiled, "Yeah, I know."

They finished lunch and Creed stood up. Charden looked up at Creed, "Going to check a few other places?"

Creed nodded, "Yeah, I have a few more places to go to. I'll see you in a few hours."

"Alright, call me when you're done."

"I will," Creed then left the café and started walking to the next business hiring.

Three hours later, Creed took his cell phone out of his pocket. He dialed Charden's number and waited for his friend to pick up.

"Hello?"

"Charden, I've finished looking everywhere I needed to."

"Alright, I'll come pick you up. Where are you at?" Charden asked.

"I'm at the park, I thought it would be a good place to meet up," Creed explained.

"Okay, I'll be there in ten minutes," Charden then ended the call.

Creed put his hone back in his pocket. He was sitting on a park bench that was near the road. Looking up at the sky Creed smiled he had good news to tell his friends, especially Echidna. Creed wanted to tell Echidna first, but he had a feeling that Echidna was currently working; so unfortunately he would have to wait.

Sighing Creed thought to himself, 'I wish I could tell Echidna first. She's probably working so I can't call her. I don't want to leave a message or a text message either. I want to hear her reaction.'

Just then Charden pulled up bringing Creed out of his thought process. Pulling over Charden waited for Creed, Charden knew he didn't have turn the car off. After all he was just picking Creed up.

Creed stood up and walked to Charden's car. In his hand was some papers; Creed was doing his best not to bend the papers. He opened the car door, put his seatbelt on, and placed the papers on his lap as he closed the door.

Charden drove away and glanced at Creed for a second, "So, what are the papers?"

Creed looked at Charden, "Well, I would like to tell Echidna first."

"I understand, Creed. So, it must be good news about a job or two," Charden smiled.

Creed nodded and looked out the window, "If Echidna asked you figured that out on your own."

Charden drove to the Diskenth's house, 'Well, at least he has an interview or two. Although, I don't know what his interviews are for.'

Author's Note: Well, after almost a four month hiatus, I think, I'm finally updating. I know that it has been a few months since the last update to this story, but I got caught up in anime. I'll try to update better from now on.

Anyway, as I have been writing this story I've learned that this story isn't that well thought out. The plot seems like it's all over the place and the story doesn't feel like it's following the summary, but I will work harder for this story to make some sense.

Okay, I better stop this Author's Note before I continue my rant any more, sorry about that.

So until Chapter 6 farewell for now, because next time we will learn what's Creed interview is for and you don't want to miss that.
