Stiles took a seat in the front of the room, second closes next to the window. A boy with blond hair and light blue eyes sat next to him, right next to the window.

The boy turned to look at Stiles and asked, "You new?"

"Yeah. I'm Stiles."

"I'm Cleary. What do you think of Red Falls so far?"

Stiles shrugged. "It's like any small town really."

"Yeah. Nothing exciting happens here. Well, except for the murders. They're really weird. All the victims' bodies were drained of they're blood. Like something sucked them dry."

'Like a vampire,' thought Stiles. "Yeah, that is weird."

When class started, the teacher told all the students to take ut their notebooks so they could take notes. Stiles had quickly taking out his notebook and began to copy the notes on the board. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Cleary take out a Batman notebook.

"Dude, you like Batman?" asked Stiles, quietly so their teacher didn't hear.

"Yeah," said Cleary. "He's, like, the best superhero ever."

Stiles grinned. 'This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.'

Stiles had been at Red Falls High for two weeks now and had easily become the smartest and most popular kid at the school. He had lots of new friends, Cleary being his best friend. The beta was in the science club, video game club, and theater/drama club. He was also on the bowling team, and in track and cross-country.

Cleary was currently trying to talk him into joining the lacrosse team.

"Hell to the no," said Stiles, arms crossed.

"C'mon, Sti!" begged the blond. "I saw how you played when we did the lacrosse unit for P.E. You were awesome! Join the team with me, man!"

"I'm not into lacrosse," said the beta wolf.

Lacrosse brought back too many memories of Beacon Hills. It was the sport he and Scott decided to join together Freshman year. Personally, he didn't care for the sport that much, but Scott did, so he joined too. But it proved to be a waste of time because they were both benchwarmers their first year and Sophomore year when Scott got bit, Stiles sat on the bench all alone. And alot of times he missed his chance to get on the field and play because of werewolf related crap.

"Please," pleaded Cleary. "I'll be your best friend."

"You already are."

"Please." Cleary gave Stiles the puppy eyes.

Stiles found himself going through déjà vu. This is exactly how Scott roped him into join the team with him. He never could resist his best friend's puppy-dog eyes. Looks like the same goes for his new best friend.

"Oh fine."

"Yes!"

"Told you you'd make some new friend," said Logan, throwing a punch at Stiles. The beta blocked it, did a back flip, then crouched down and swept his leg to knock his alpha down.

"Yeah. I have a lot of real friends. Friends who actually care about me and don't use me." He raised his leg to kick Logan, but the alpha caught it, twisting the leg. Stiles spun his body to break free. "And I'm having a lot of fun at school. Lot of cool clubs to join. The teacher aren't boring, crazy, or evil. Unlike the teachers from my last school."

"Good." Logan kicked him in the abdominal, sending Stiles flying, crashing against a tree. "That's enough training for today. Go do your homework."

"Right," said Stiles, rubbing his lower back. "Hey, I'll be staying after school tomorrow for lacrosse try-outs and after that, me, Cleary, Layla, Prue, and Zack are going over to Dill's house to watch movies."

"Sure. Good luck, though you won't need it."

"Thanks."
