So yea, I finally got chapter 2 done. Don't expect chapter 3 any time soon.
Disclaimer: I do not, not will I ever own Danny Phantom. Kelly belongs to thatghostghoul.
Chapter 2
"Welcome, ladies and gentleman, to the show! We hope you are enjoying your time here at the festival," The announcer said to the crowd. "Now, without further ado, I present, Kelly the Great." The crowd cheered as the announcer hopped off the stage and a glowing hot pink smoke began to overtake the stage.
"Hello Amity Park!" A female voice echoed. Everyone gasped as the smoke formed a staircase and a girl, about 16, descended down. "I am Kelly the Great, and today I'm going to show what magic really is." She smiled a Cheshire grin and for brief moment, her eyes turned the same shade of pink as the smoke.
"Now, I hope any of you are not afraid of the dark, because the lights," she looked toward the sky, smile never fading, "are about to go out." With that, she snapped her fingers and a black tent began to form, from top to bottom, around the stage and bleachers. Soon, the area was completely covered and pitch black.
Suddenly, there was a flicker of light and not a second later, a line of pink fire erupted on the stage. The audience screamed as they watched the flames dance on the stage. However, they slightly calmed when the realized that the fire was not burning the stage or the magician on it.
"Much better. Now for my first trick, I'm going to need a volunteer." No one made a move. "Oh, don't be scared, I won't bite. Much." The crowd laughed and a few people raised their hands, albeit rather nervously. Kelly scanned through the audience. "Let's see, eenie, meenie, minie," her closed her eyes and smiled. "Mo."
A loud boom and pink puff of smoke later, a boy appeared on stage. "Wha, huh!" He spun around taking in his surroundings. "How'd I…"
"Thank you for volunteering! First of all, what's your name?"
"Um, Connor."
"Well, Connor, I'm going to need you to hold this." Kelly seemingly plucked a white handkerchief out of thin air and handed it to the boy. "Now, scrunch it up and keep it between your hands. On the count of three, your going to throw it as high as you can, okay?" Connor nodded and followed the magicians instructions. "Alright. One, two, three, Fenikso!"
The boy threw the handkerchief in the air, but instead of a piece cloth floating to the ground, a dove flew out of his hands, only to burst into a flaming Phoniex seconds later. The crowd gasped in awe as they watched the majestic bird fly around the tent, before it returned to the stage and disappeared in flames.
"That. Was. Amazing!" The boy said to the bemused magician.
"And we've only just begun."
