Chapter 3
Disclaimer:I don't, nor will I ever, own Danny Phantom. Kelly belongs to thatghostghoul
In short, the show was a smashing success. After several flaming, floating and disappearing acts, the entire crowd was astounded.
"I'm afraid I must go now, but thank you all for being such a great audience. Farewell Amity Park!" There was booming sound and for a brief second, the magician's hair turned white and her eyes flashed pink, before the flames engulfed her and everything disappeared. The tent, pink smoke, flames, everything, was gone. The crowd was left to blink back the sudden light and wonder whether everything they had seen was real.
"Well that was…definitely better than I had expected." Sam said, being the first of the trio to snap out of her daze.
"What? Oh yea, it was amazing," Danny agreed. By the look on the teen's face, however, he seemed to be thinking of more than just the show. "Um, Tucker, could we get backstage to meet Kelly."
"Aw, someone star-struck?"Danny responded with a quick elbow to the ribcage. "OW!"
"No, it's just that there's something weird about this magician. Almost ghostly weird."
"Dude, I think three years of ghost fighting have finally made you paranoid." Tucker said, rubbing his now sore chest.
"I'm not paranoid. I'm just a concerned civilian who happens to know when he sees something ghostly."
Sam rolled her eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night."
Kelly rubbed her temples, trying to ease the growing migraine. Though she was used to minor headaches after a show, the extra effort she put in this time to impress "The most haunted town in America" was definitely taking it's toll.
"Hey Kelly, the mayor and two guests are requesting access backstage to meet you. Should I let them in, cause I know how tired you get after shows and you probably want a little break…"
Turning around, the magician gave a weary smile to the guard who had asked the question. "It's fine Luis. A five minute chat won't kill me."
Luis laughed. "Alright, I'll send them in." He then left the dressing room. A minute later the mayor, a gothic looking girl and a boy with bright blue eyes entered the room.
"It's nice to finally meet you in person Ms. Fernandez." Tucker, as always, was the first to introduce himself to the rather attractive performer. "I am Mayor Tucker Foley, or as I'm more commonly known as, T.F. for too fi…OW! Will you guys stop doing that!"
The goth girl rolled her eyes. "I see Casanova over here has already acquaintances himself." She smiled, "Hi I'm Sam. Blue eyes over there is my boyfriend Danny and the reason we're back here."
"Well it's a pleasure to meet all of you." Kelly turned to Danny and, for a moment, an excited and slightly crazed look came to her eyes. "It's always nice to meet fans. Now what exactly did you want to know. I do give autographs and a little," she waved a hand and made a rose appear, "slight of hand."
Danny cleared his throat. "I was actually more interested on how you do your tricks."
"Ah that, , is a matter of secrecy. A magician never reveals her secrets. On a completely unrelated topic however, my guard and I are quite skilled electricians." The four of them laughed.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Kelly, but we better get going. The boys and I have a date with a roller coaster." With this, Sam grasped Danny and Tucker's wrists and proceeded to drag away. It didn't occur to any of them until they were home that A. Their watches were gone and B. Kelly knew Danny's last name without anyone telling her.
AN: Well that took forever to write. Sorry for its shortness, but I really needed to finish it if I was going to continue. Please R&R and friendly criticism is welcomed.
