So remember when I said that summer was coming so I would have more time to write? Well, I forgot a few things, like driver's training and marching band and the fact that my family loves to travel and that whole "it's summer so I don't want to do anything but is around and play Minecraft and Skyrim and The Last of Us" thing that I get. So I'm sorry I haven't updated but I've been sitting through lectures and driving and memorizing music and playing video games, so (mostly) unfun stuff but I will give you a chapter and I will try to finish this fic and my other before I go to Europe, and after I get back I will try to work on Kidnapping (which I never meant to be a multi-chap but you know) and get out a new story (it involves a teenage Six and toddler Rex). So with that super long authors note done, here is a new chapter (that might be the last, I'm writing this before the chapter)
Disclaimer- I OWN NOTHING if I owned Generator Rex it would feature an episode with a fluffy and adorable E.V.O Six.

"Can I talk to you in private please?" Dr. Holiday's voice dripped with anger, her green eyes drilling holes into Six's head. Six nodded.
"You'll be alright getting back into bed?" He asked Rex. The EVO smiled slightly and nodded.
"You don't have to worry about me," Rex said. "I'm fine," Then he added, more quietly, "You should worry about yourself; she looks ready to kill you,"
Six followed the doctor into the main cavern. He prepared himself for a lecture, a lot of rhetorical questions about what was he thinking, and maybe some screaming. Instead she stood silently. She cupped he face in her hands and just stood. The only sound was that of paper rustling in the breeze. Six almost asked her if she was alright, but she spoke first.
"I should have seen it," she said into her hands. She looked up at Six, and he could see that she was crying. "I'm his doctor, I should have been able to tell what was going on, it was just… it was so obvious."
Six reached out but hesitated for a moment before he placed his hand on her shoulder. "I couldn't tell either. I'm his mentor. I just wasn't paying attention."
Holiday looked at him, wiped her tears, and brushed his hand away. "You knew, didn't you?" she asked. Most men would have flinched at the malice in her voice. Six only did so internally. "You knew and you didn't tell me because he didn't want you to!" She was really mad. The volume of her voice was rising steadily. "That's why he called you first. That's why he was upset when he saw me, Six! What were you thinking? They could have killed him! Look at him, Six. He's terrified, and injured, and traumatized! We could have prevented this"
"How?" Six asked, his voice, calm and even, once again contrasting the atmosphere.
"Excuse me?" Holiday asked unable to wrap her mind around the question for a minute.
"How could we have prevented this? Even if we did tell Knight, what could he do?" Six felt strange in this situation. Normally, it was Holiday who thought things through to the end.
"We could have… we couldn't have done nothing." The doctor's shoulders slumped as she realized the depth of the situation. "There's no way to fix this?"
"Not as long as he's in Providence." Six pointed out. Holiday looked up at him, slightly amazed.
"You're not suggesting…" she asked.
"I am," he answered.
"Isn't that against orders?" she asked.
"My orders are, first and foremost, to protect him." he answered.
Dr. Holiday smiled at him. "When are we leaving?"

Ok, so I didn't finish this chapter but the next one will be the last.
