Yeah...I haven't updated this in forever...and I decided that since I'm slacking off from school right now that I might as well do something productive, am I right? This story is like far from finished and I haven't had the motive to keep it going xD there's like 50 episodes in Brotherhood...does anyone know how I could possibly shorten this down? Lol, even if you did you probably wouldn't tell me...oh well, I'll think of something! Yeah, I really don't want to update all the way to 50 episodes of Brotherhood -starts planning- THIS WILL BE COMPLETED! I WILL MAKE SURE OF IT! :)
When I awoke, although I really don't remember falling asleep, I smelled all sorts of smells. I sniff the air around me. There were all sorts of scents flowing around me—some smelled good, some smelled downright horrible—but the main thing that was on my mind was where I was at. The last I remembered was diving to save Edward from that homunculus trying to swallow him...and then I just blacked out. As I felt my surroundings, I noticed something different...I was in some type of...water maybe? Chemicals? No, I'm sure chemicals would burn my nose...then...what?
"Kai!? Where are you?!" Was that Mel? My eyes snapped open and I sat up quickly. I looked around in the darkness and stood up. This better not be any weird dreams like that one I had before... "Kai! There you are!" I felt someone touch my shoulder and tried my best not to flat out stab the person behind me. A light shown and I turned around to see her holding some kind of...ew...a bone that had cloth wrapped around the edge of it. Holy cow, did she just make a torch?! I smell Talent! Well actually, I smell something else, but that's not the point.
"How do I know you're not Envy?" The thought struck me suddenly. Envy could've transformed into Mel to fool me...wait...does he even know who Mel is? Agh, I can't remember.
"Envy? You mean the shape-shifting homunculus guy? Would it be better if I showed you some Alchemy to prove it?" Melonie clapped her hands and placed them on the ground. She brought up and iron—and very ugly—devil mask. If I had been a little girl, that thing would've scared the pants off me.
"Okay, that proves it!" I said, smiling at her. She made an 'ick' face at me. "What?" I asked.
"You're drooling..." She informed. I wiped said drool off my face...wait...why was I drooling?
"So, where are we...and whats that smell?" I asked, scrunching my nose. So many scents were starting to get my nose all confused...and noses don't get confused!...I think...
"If my hypothesis is correct, I believe we are in Gluttony's stomach." She replied matter-of-factly.
"If my hypothesis is correct..." I mocked playfully. "So, we're in his stomach right...so...like...how do we get out Ms. Expert?" I asked.
"Dunno." She said, shrugging. So much for that idea...
"So like, what are we standing in, water?" I asked, she looked at me surprisingly.
"Not the brightest crayon in the box, are you? I would've thought that even you would've been able to tell what we're standing in, your nose must be going nuts right now." She said, kicking around the liquid beneath us.
"Noses don't go nuts, Mel." I laughed at the nonsense.
"Yes they do!"
"No they don't!"
"Yes they do!"
"No they don't!"
"No they don't!"
"Yes they—hey! You little..." I grumbled at her. She tricked me! I will never fall for that again...that was just stupid. "So...it's blood then?" Melonie nodded her head.
"Yup! I'm surprised that you weren't going nuts." Melonie smirked.
"Okay, so...gimme a cup." I said blankly.
"Huh?" She replied intelligently.
"I said gimme a cup."
"I don't have a cup." She frowned. I stared at her for a long time. She does have Alchemy right? Is she like stupid or something?
"Oh right!" She suddenly exclaimed. I nodded my head dumbly at her. She clapped her hands and made me a medium sized cup. She handed it to me and I scooped some up and sipped it cautiously. Hey, these people could've had some kind of disease. It was an alright taste, though it wasn't as good as Edward or Ling's—and that sounded so wrong. I gulped it down and she made another ick face at me.
"That's disgusting." She commented.
"Maybe to you. What? Would you rather me lap it up like a dog? Sheesh." I could feel my eyes turning back to their original sapphire blue color. Melonie looked intrigued.
"Right, so we should probably find the others." She said, giving me yet another ick look when I scooped some more up.
"Stop giving me that look!" I said, quite annoyed.
"What look?"
"Never mind! Let's just go!" I stormed off and she followed behind me, staring at me weird every time I got another cup of blood. Hey, I couldn't just let a chance like this pass me by. There probably won't be another time that I'll be this lucky. Unless they make Gluttony eat us again...I wonder how we get out...if it's just his stomach can't we like cut him open or something? Wait...why is his stomach so damn big?! "So who all got swallowed up?" I asked her.
"I think Ling, Edward, and Envy are all the others inside." She replied.
"I wonder what time it is or if everyone's okay..." I muttered thoughtfully.
"Who are you calling short, you jerk?!"
"Found Ed." We both said in unison. We both ran to the source and saw Ling holding a torch. Dude! He made a torch too! I want a torch...
"Why are you still carrying that thing?" I asked, staring at the creepy mask in her hand. That thing was like freaky. It even creeped me out.
"Uh, dunno, I'll ditch it." She was about to throw it away but I quickly caught it and held it up to my face. "Oh my God, that thing is creepy as hell." I laughed.
"Let's scare them!"
"Do you want to get our heads chopped off?!" She exclaimed in a hushed whisper.
"Come on, they'll probably not even be scared. This is Ed and Link we're talking about!" I said convincingly. It was true. Edward had faced more scarier things like homunculi and cold blooded murderers. Why would he be scared of such a silly little mask? I admit that it's pretty freaking creepy and would probably make me pee myself if I didn't know it existed and it was used against me, but he's like...a man...or something...
"True..."
"Great! I'm gonna go now." I said and tip toed over to where the two started walking off together—probably trying to find a way out of here. I walked right behind them and they didn't even notice me until I tapped on their shoulders. They slowly turned around and I screamed as loud as I could. They both elbowed me in the gut...hard. I wheezed and fell to my knees.
"Ow..." I took the mask off and glared at them. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO!?" Ling and Ed stared at me in disbelief.
"That's your own fault, where did you get that mask from?" He asked curiously. Edward glared at me but knelt down to make sure that I was alright. Awe, well aren't you nice?...yeah, right!
"Mel made it. Bastards." I glared at them. Edward kept staring at me, directly in the eyes. I blushed and looked away. Why was he staring at me? I didn't have blood on my face, did I?
"Your eyes are blue again."
Oh...
"Why of course! Look at this unlimited amount of blood here!" I exclaimed and gulped down another cup of blood. Ling frowned in dismay and Edward gagged off to the side.
"That's disgusting." They both said.
"Maybe to you." ...Hm am I sensing a little bit of Deja Vu here? Melonie came walking over and laughing. "What are you laughing about?!" I asked bitterly. She grinned. Then she started looking around, puzzled by something. "What's wrong?" I asked her.
"Well...I lost my bag when we got in here...so I haven't seen Akima since we were swallowed. I wonder where she could be at..."
"Maybe she had to pee?" I suggested. Melonie gave me a 'seriously?!' look. She deadpanned.
"But then you would be drinking urine blood."
"EW OKAY I DIDN'T NEED TO KNOW THAT MEL!" I screamed at her and stormed off, in search of the small cat. A cat girl could be so hard to find...right? Doesn't Mel have some type of secret code cat call for her or something? "Akima! Akima! Where are you?!" I shouted, cupping my hands around my mouth."
"Looking for this little fur ball?" Ling asked, holding up a familiar black and white striped kitten. Mel and I both gasped.
"Where did you find her?!" Melonie gasped and collected the kitten into her arms...someone was getting attached...Akima mewled and licked Melonie's cheek.
"I found a bag along with it too." Ling said and handed Melonie her bag...how was she separated from her bag in the first place?
You would think that since we were all swallowed in the same area that we would appear around each other...though I'm slightly glad we didn't because then Envy would be with us. That wouldn't be good. I looked around and there was a limitless amount of space. Are we really in Gluttony's stomach? And more importantly...
How are we going to get out of here?
