I wrote this while listening to Kiss it all Better by He is We. It'd probably be best to read this while listening to that song.

"T'ch. Why do we have to go to a park? How completely generic and boring." Togami criticized Fukawa's idea of a date, but continued to unpack their picnic supplies from the back of the trunk. He didn't enjoy the concept of eating lunch outdoors, such frivolities were beneath the wealthy boy.

"W-We don't have to stay, you know! I-If it doesn't make you happy, Byakuya-sama…" she mumbled back, slightly embarrassed from his mockery.

However he just ignored her words and continued to retrieve the pre-made sandwiches. A small, rare smile grew on Fukawa's lips as they set up their meals, settling onto the patchwork blanket laid beneath them.

"Isn't it lovely out here?" she muttered dreamily, eyes scanning over the enchanting scenery. It would be just like that story she wrote about them, nothing could go wrong…

Togami grunted in response, taking a small bite of the sandwich. Fukawa had insisted the snacks be entirely homemade, therefore their quality was not even to compare to what the boy was used to. However for her, he would play nice.

"Do you like it, Byakuya-sama…?" she inquired nervously, heart racing.

"I suppose so. It's not bad." he responded quickly, causing the other's eyes to light up in delight. However, the conversation continued no further, interrupted by several gunshots from nearby.

Togami jumped to his feet, narrowing his eyes and looking throughout the forest in attempt to find the source of such a racket. From within the trees emerged a shadowy figure, rifle loaded in his hand.

"Drop what you're doing!" the man barked, pointing the gun at Fukawa, "Get the boy to come with me."

"W-What?! I would never-" she began, only to be cut off with a yelp as crimson slowly began to stain her shirt.

The man panicked and fled the scene, leaving Togami wide eyed. He immediately rushed to her aid, lifting her into his lap, applying pressure to wound desperately.

"Fukawa…! Can you move?!" he cried desperately, tears of dismay dotting his eyes and blurring his vision.

"Byakuya-sama…" she coughed, eyes fluttering open and closed, tears streaking her cheeks, "K...Kiss it all better. I'm not ready to go…"

"It's not your fault, love. You didn't know…. You didn't know." he said, voice breaking as he gently pressed his lips to her wounds repeatedly. The boy tried to re-compose himself several times, failing every time with a wave of sobs.

His grabbed her hand tightly. It was shockingly cold, but he didn't let go. Togami bent down, planting a soft kiss on her forehead, "Everything will be all right." he promised hollowly, knowing his words lacked truth.

Slowly but surely, her heartbeat slowed, and her eyes drifted closed for the final time, never to reopen. his body racked with sobs, holding onto her body tightly as his eyes caught glimpse of a gun.

Rage boiled inside him as he leaped to his feet, "I'll avenge you, Fukawa. I promise that much." he whispered, picked up the abandoned gun, running into the woods to pursue his girlfriend's killer.

Months later, Togami was thrown in jail. Despite him being of an upperclass, extremely wealthy family, even they could not let a murder taint their family.

Nothing would bring Fukawa back. Now she was merely a memory to him. With one final realization that she would never return to him, he collapsed, head in hands, tears streaming down his face.
