Chapter 12:
Normal Pov
"Severus," Rhianna whined, and tapped her foot on the floor impatiently. She continued her trek down the long hallway. Not an hour before, when he had set of to help Slughorn prepare and brew potions, (He had a part time job brewing potions for Slughorn), She had received a note from him, hand delivered, well, Owl delivered from a magnificent black owl, which she surely had seen delivering letters to the Slytherin table. She wondered to whom the owl belonged to.
"Rhianna!" There was a shout from the end of the hallway. She turned, letting her long black hair flip over her shoulder.
"Oh, hello James." She said, throwing a smile on her face. He swaggered down the hall arrogantly, let his hazel eyes flash naughtily down her body.
"James Potter, please refrain from allowing your eyes to travel pass my neck." She snapped, and James smirked evilly. He leaned against a column right next to her, watching her raise an eyebrow. Rhianna sighed. She instantly regretted not wearing her school cloak. She had a tight fitting black skirt around her hips. She also wore a tight lacey white shirt, revealing much of her tight chest. Her furry, knee high boots Lily had lent her gave James a fantastic view of her legs and thighs.
"Well, well, well, its been awhile since I've had you alone, the future Mrs. Potter." James said, smirking at her. He leaned forward and brushed a lock of hair from her forehead, and tucked it softly behind her ear. "James, what do you want? I'm here to meet Severus." She groaned.
"Ah," James smirked, and held up a quill. "Are you meeting Sniviless, or are you meeting me here?" He smirked, shrugging his scrawny shoulders. He was toying with her. He was so close now, his warm breath fanning across her face.
"My answer didn't change James. I'm meeting Severus-!" She stopped instantly, turned to look at James in the eye and moaned. "You wrote that letter, didn't you?" She glared, and James nodded. He was fighting back the laughs. "Now you get it!"
"James come on! This is serious!" She snapped, and with a deep breath, and a trademark Black family eye roll, she stomped away. She planned to go straight to the common room and wait for Severus to show. But immediately James thundered after her, his feet pounding against the floor.
"Wait a minute. Rhianna wait, please?" He asked, and she spun around with a huff. "James, what do you want?" She asked, and James shrugged, a small blush creeping on his cheeks as he thought. "You." She raised an eyebrow at the quiet whisper. "Spew? James what is spew?" She asked, and James whispered quickly, a little louder then before.
"Um, well theirs a Hogsmead event coming up." James croaked. Rhianna nodded, gesturing for him to go on with a sarcastic air gesture.
"Okay, here goes nothing. Will you go to Hogsmead with me?" James asked, and Rhianna breathed in slowly, annoyed. "Err… As friends right?" Rhianna asked, and James frowned, but managed to quickly cover it up with a fake smile. "Of course. I mean, I don't want to go with the guys this time, they're pretty much got their own things, going on that day. I mean, I'll understand if your busy or anything." James dragged on, but Rhianna smiled. "Of course I'll go with you, as mutual friends." Rhianna said, but then James went pink again. "But of course, if you want to go as more then friends, I'm cool with that also." He said, but Rhianna inwardly grimaced. He frowned again hearing footsteps down the hall.
"Um James, I have to go. Really, because my brother is waiting for me in the common room anyway." Rhianna lied fluently, and James nodded, noticing the awkward tension in the hall. "Oh, okay, hat's really no problem at all. Yeah, I need to go unlock Sniviless from Professor Slugnorn's office anyway. I accidentally overheard him telling Snivel-! I mean Severus," James corrected himself when Rhianna glared at him.
"Okay, sorry. Well as I was saying before, he told Snape he had meeting to go to and to lock up when he's done. So I stole the key after Slughorn left, and locked the door when Snape's back was turned." James shrugged, obviously proud of himself. Rhianna glare at him and James stared longingly at her glossy lips, wanting to capture them with his own.
"You locked him in when his back as turned? That seems like a pretty cowardly thing to do." She grumbled, and as James opened his mouth to defend himself, another voice silkily over talked his.
"Why Rhianna dear, you are correct beautiful. It was a pretty cowardly thing to do. Lucky for me, James charm skills are a joke compared to mine. When I attempted to open the locked door, I immediately new what needed to be done. Yo know Potter, there is a fairly easy spell that would render the unlocking charm, Alohamora, useless. Maybe if you paid more attention in class rather then on the Quidditch Pitch, your IQ score would be higher then the dead leaves I stepped on earlier." Severus smirked, and Rhianna inaudibly bit back the chuckle. James face grew bright red out of anger. His hands shook at his side, itching to grab his wand.
"Shut up prick." James muttered, and waved to Juliunna with a mischievous smirk n his face. "Goodbye Rhianna," He said stiffly, and started running down the hall.
"Loser." Severus huffed, but turned to Rhianna with a displeased look on his face. "What?" She asked, astonished at him. He pouted. "I can't believe you told him yes." He said emotionlessly, a smirk tipping at his pale, perfect lips.
"I told him I'd go as a friend Seviepoo. Just a mutual friend." Rhianna said with a giggle. And Severus grimaced. She frowned. "What's wrong?" She asked, and he scrunched up his face nervously.
"Mother. I mean, my mother used to call me that. When I was a kid and she was happier. I mean, happy." He voiced. His eyes turned hollow and sad as he stared at the wall. Rhianna frowned, desperately wanting to make him feel better.
"Why don't we go somewhere?" She asked, gripping both of his elbows and steered him towards the door. He looked at her glumly, not even twitching a facial muscle. "Where do you want to go?"
She leaned forward, a knowing expression on her face as she leaned forward. As she opened her plump lips, Severus felt a large sense of longing deep from within his loins.
"Exploring."
Lets go follow Draco Malfoy/ Dragon Black (Normal Pov)
Draco growled. He was stuck in the library with Lily Evens, her chatting his ear off about something that he didn't care about in the slightest.
Her last Hogsmead date.
"And then he tried to kiss me. I mean, did he really think I was going to let him after I personally witnessed him scarf down about a pound of garlic and lamb? Gross! And lets not forget the fact that he was recently spotted in the Hospital Wing for a lip growth. Gross! And plus, you should have seen the outfit he was wearing. Muggle nerdia dot com!" Lily complained, and Draco looked her in the eye, a large scowl on his face.
Lily, freaking Evens. I will say this again, as I have said more then once before. Shut. Up! I do not want to here you speed gossip about your latest messed up date. Slughorn asked you to help me sort through these files, not me. We're here to work, not gossip! Now shush!" Draco whispered with an angry scowl, and Lily pouted.
"Dragon," She started, and picked up a folder. She sorted some papers into them, talking curiously.
"What?" He snapped, and she smiled.
"How was it like growing up in America? And then Greece? And then going back and fourth from Greece and Russia so that you and Rhianna could go to Durmstrange?" She asked, and Draco raised an eyebrow. "What?" He said, startled.
"Rhianna told me all that stuff. I just want to know what it was like. I'm curious." She begged, shaking her long hair back. Draco groaned.
"Well, America was pretty… Americanish. There were donut shops and movies," He said awkwardly, and Lily tilted her head to the side with a suspicious air.
"I'm pretty sure you can find Donut shops and movies anywhere." She said, and Draco frowned. "Well… It was pretty, USA'ish. I guess. But really, I was only born there. When I was four, we moved to Russia-!"
"I thought it was Greece, then Russia?" Lily said, raising a spectacle eyebrow.
"Nope. I moved to Greece with my aunt Suzanne when I was four, and around eight went to Russia temporarily. Because once I started school, I went back to Russia with Aunt Suzanne." Draco shrugged, but inwardly smirked, proud of himself for making that up. Lily pursed her lips.
"But Rhianna said she lived with her Grandmother in Greece when she went to school-!"
"Oh, Aunt Suzanne lives with Grandma. But while Rhianna refers to it as Grandma's house, I refer to it as Aunt Suzanne's house. Because we tend to pick favorites…" Draco drifted off awkwardly, feeling nervous and heat on the back of his neck.
"Uh… Okay." Lily said, raising an eyebrow.
"Lets talk about something else." Draco said, sweating slightly. He looked around the library and saw a few couples, and voiced the first thing that came to his cloudy mind.
"So… Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked, and Lily's mouth flew open. She stared at him, and he stared back. It only took him seconds to realize the confusion his question had brought.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry Dragon," Lily breathed, but looked awkwardly around the room.
"What?" He asked, and she hissed awkwardly and disappointedly.
"Oh, I'm not really on the market right now. I… I think that I like someone else-!"
"Lily, whatever your pented up brain is thinking about, its not the right conclusion-!"
"I mean, Dragon, your very handsome, but I like someone else. You should find yourself a nice Slytherin girl."
"Oh trust me, I will." Draco said, rolling his eyes at her.
"Dragon, you are going to find someone some day, someone who will make your life worth while, I'm sure that girl is out there for you." Lily said, throwing him a sad but comforting smile.
"You know what, I don't want to do this anymore. I think I'm going to go." Draco said, frowning. Hanging out with Lily was not something he wanted to do anymore. It was just too frustrating.
"That's right Draco, go search for that right one."
"Idiot." Draco murmured, and then strode down the hall.
"Hmm," Lily said, giggling up at the ceiling."
"I wonder what Rhianna's up to?"
