Chapter 13:
Normal Pov
"I don't understand. Why are we doing this again?" Severus asked, tilting the book side to side.
"Severus please. You promise!" Rhianna cried and started flipping through the pages.
"Since when did I promise that I'd help you research time travel?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"When I promised I'd be your wife you promised you'd do anything for me. So there." She stuck her tongue at him, and he glared.
"But I just asked you to be my girlfriend. That's not fair. I shouldn't have any Marriage responsibilities."
"Well unless you wish to lose your relationship qualities and the goods that come with them you shut you trap." She smirked, making him groan.
"We have forty minutes until Potions, and you want to research useless crap that I couldn't care less about. Can't we just go downstairs?" He moaned, and reached over and buried his face in the crook of her neck. She rolled her eyes.
"As if you'd get out of this that easy." She muttered, and then threw him away.
"Hey." He chuckled, and then proceeded to trace the purplish hicky he made on her neck earlier, with a finger.
"Severus, we can get out of here as quick as possible, if you help."
"And we can get out of here even quicker then possible, if you decide to tell be what we're exactly planning to do. I don't have a clue what we're doing here, and I don't like being left in the dark." He said seriously, glaring at her. She sighed.
"You know what, fine. I want to open up a time portal. Fine, oh what's wrong now?" She cried as he shut his book.
"Nope, Rhianna its not going to happen." He said, glaring at her. She frowned.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that your acting weird, and I'm not helping you open up a portal. Its dangerous-!"
"How?!" Rhianna glared, matching his.
"Well who's guilty conscious will it be on if you get sucked into a death portal? Mine. So get it over with." He glared, and she moaned.
"Its not going to be a death portal. Its going to be a pretty shiny one, that will be able to transport any person to a certain time in the world." She confidently smirked. He sighed, shaking his head.
"Your going to need to experiment Rhianna. And just opening the portal alone could suck this world into a black hole. Its dangerous experimenting. You need alot of research too. Did I mention the horrible death that could happen to you and anybody else close to you?" He said, trying to drive her away from the idea. She frowned.
"But it isn't fair. Don't you want to be a little adventurous?" She asked, smirking at him hopefully. He smiled.
"If you want to get adventurous how about you sit on my face-!"
"Shut up!" She glared, and then picked up her purse and stomped across the floor.
"Um, I don't think Evens will be very helpful in this situation sweetheart." He called, grabbing his potions book.
"Well then I'll get Dragon!"
"If you just tell me why you need to open a time portal, though I think I already know why, I could help you think of an alternative." He called ahead, and then stopped in her tracks.
"Now that's it, come here." He said, looking at her expectantly. She thought for a second.
"Just shut up." She grumbled after a second, and then promptly excited the library. Severus sighed. "Your very frustrating you now." He called roughly. Only hearing a tough "Jerk" in return.
Harry Potter: His fifth year
Harry sat next to Juliunna Malfoy in Potions class, the two of them giggling like school girls. He did most of the laughing though.
"No. No. So the Snail says to the man, 'What was that all about'?" Harry finished, and the two of them laughed.
"Mr. Potter if I wanted to hear you tell Corny Jokes I would summarize your personality." Professor Snape said, looking up to glare at him. Harry nodded. "Okay, sir." Harry said, but then leaned closer to Juliunna's ear. "But you were laughing too-!"
"But he actually likes me." Juliunna said, adding more flobberworm mucus to her potion.
"Well okay, that just makes perfect sense." Harry said, snorting. She elbowed Harry with a laugh. He did it back.
"Harry!" Hermione whispered from behind them, and Harry turned to look at her. "Stop letting her distract you. You've got work to do." She grumbled. Juliunna rolled her eyes.
"Stop letting her distract you. You've got work to do." Juliunna grumbled under her breath, and Harry watched her add the Wolfbane.
"Juliunna don't mind her, she's just-!"
"Perfect. She's just so ugly perfect. As you've told me many times, she's just looking out for you. Blah, blah, blah." She moaned quietly, and Harry ran a hand through her soft hair. Juliunna laughed, arching into his hand. Professor Snape looked up.
"Mr. Potter kindly stop running your hand through my niece's hair. You are here to learn about potions, not to flirt." Snape sneered at him. Harry blushed heatedly.
"Sorry sir." He said, letting go of Juliunna's hair and looking back to his own work.
"Juliunna, I hate your uncle." He muttered under his breath when Snape looked back to his work.
"Well I love him, so shush." She grumbled at Harry, who rolled his eyes.
"I don't know how you can love someone so ignorant."
"I don't know how I can be best friends with someone so geeky." Juliunna said, and Harry chuckled.
"That is not funny." He chuckled, hitting her gently.
"Really, because I think it is. In fact, I wish to hit you over the head with a quill." Juliunna said, and in fact, she desperately wished to in fact to do just that.
"Hardy, Har, Har." Harry breathed, and kissed her cheek gently. This time, Snape stood up.
"Now I'm asking you to stop talking Mr. Potter, and my kindliness can only stretch so far. After class go to the back of the room and write lines five hundred times. I will not disrespect my Professor. You may return to the common room when they are finished. And I don't care if it takes you till midnight." Snape smirked, and Harry paled.
"Oh man." He moaned, burring his head back into his cauldron.
"Sorry Harry." Juliunna smiled at him softly, trying to make him feel better.
"No Jules. Its okay. Now stop talking, please, before I get more lines." Harry whispered, dodging another look from Professor Snape. Juliunna looked up, and Professor Snape's eyes met hers. Her lips twisted into a smirk.
He's so sexy when he's jealous.
Back to the Past: Potion Class
"Lily, do you need help?" Rhianna asked her, seeing Lily pour her head over the book. Lily shook her head no. "Um… Rhianna, I can't help but think that I'm reading a whole different language." Lily said, and read the book so fast that her eyes were a blur.
"I just read one sentence four times over, and barely took in the first four words." She squeaked, frowning. "Sorry Rhianna-!"
"Lily, that's not the time travel book, its my potions book." Rhianna said, rolling her eyes.
"Oh. Well… I don't think I'm going to be able to decipher that laungauge either-!"
"Lily what the heck?! I already told you I'm just going to ask Dragon to help me-!"
"But I want to help too!" Lily whined, slugging her in the shoulder.
"Help with what?" Frank Longbottom said, smiling at the two of them. Rhianna pouted.
"Its really not that interesting Frank. I'm thinking-!"
"We're making a poster board for the hottest teen boy bands of all time. Both Muggle and Wizard types." Lily said proudly, and Rhianna scowled. "Really?" She said, when Frank smiled.
"Yeah, you don't want to let too many people know that your planning on opening a time vortex or something. Frank wouldn't want to even try and help us with a teen heartthrob poster." Lily said, smiling at herself for coming up with that.
"Hmm, yeah, your right. Dragon!" Rhianna shouted, and up ahead, Draco turned around. He had been sitting with their Auntie Bella, her chatting his ear off and telling him funny jokes. Chuckling, he waved her off and turned around.
"Could you help me with this please? Before Professor Scowl a lot gets here?!" Rhianna yelled, and the whole class burst into laughter. Draco, who was all the way up front, turned around jogged back to where Rhianna and Lily was. Lily threw him a smile, but he fought back the urge to roll his eyes.
"Hey Jules what's up?" He said carefully, and Rhianna's eyes widened. She jetted her head slightly in Lily's direction, who was frowning. "Where'd you get Jules from-! Oh right! Its your nick name!" Lily squealed, and Rhianna sighed.
"Yep. Dragon, we're going to research time warps and portals back in the classroom, okay?" Rhianna said, and Draco pulled up an empty chair. He leaned forward and leaned closer to her ear so they can whisper.
"You think we can do it? That we can go back home?" He asked, and she nodded.
"Oh course we can do it. We're both smart. We can open up a portal to home, before we screw up too much." She said, and he smiled at the thought.
"Yeah… I miss our manor. And the warm bowls of stew delivered at our beck and call-!"
"We get all that and more-!"
"Yeah but we can never just sit in our beds and read or do any of that here." Draco pouted. "We actually have to get up and go down the Great Hall."
"Lazy bones." She said, rolling her eyes. Draco shrugged.
"So, Hogsmead weekend is coming up, who are you going with?"
"There's a Hogsmead weekend coming up? I didn't know-!" Rhianna, who had just spoken at normal level, was interrupted by Lily's gushing.
"Well of course she's going with Severus. Their dating you know. Who are you going with Dragon? Have you found yourself a nice Slytherin girl yet?" Lily asked, pouting her lips softly at him. He shrugged.
"Mother and Auntie-! I mean Cissy and Bella and I are going together. We're picking out outfits for the New Years Ball. Did you know there was a New Years Ball?" He asked, smiling widely at the thought. Rhianna frowned.
"There's a New Years Ball coming up? How did you know?"
"I mean, there's only posters hanging on every door and wall now, you know." Frank said, and pointing to the potion room door. She looked at it, seeing a large diamond encrusted poster board bearing the name, 'New Years Ball coming soon'.
"Huh, hadn't seen those yet." She said, and then grabbed a quill. As she started writing, Lily was practically spitting with excitement.
"So, we have to buy dresses for the ball!" Lily squealed. "Aren't you excited?!"
"Actually I couldn't care less." Rhianna said, and Lily flinched as if she'd been slapped.
"But… But this is a really big deal. We only have a different kind of ball every twenty years!" Lily whined. "Are you saying your not going?"
"Oh yeah, she's not going." Draco laughed. "At our old school, we had the Yule ball. Mandatory for grades fourth and up. We were both in fourth. Well she got out of it by hiding in her room and refusing to come out, no matter what we tried to do.
"Let's just put it this way, she hates fun." Draco finished with a smirk, and Rhianna rolled her eyes.
"Was it because you couldn't get a date-!"
"Get a date?! She had boys lining up to ask her." Draco said seriously, and Lily clapped. "I remember Pot… Rotter practically begged her to be his date. The champions had to start the opening dance and he knew we've had ball room dancing lessons since we turned five. But she's stubborn, and would rather stay in her room sulking then go out."
"I hate dances! Their silly and stupid." Rhianna said, rolling her eyes.
"You hate them? But Rhianna you have to come! It will be so romantic," Lily leaned in to whisper. "If you kiss Severus at midnight. Or is it after midnight? Or directly before?"
"Its midnight." Both Rhianna and Draco said together, and Lily smiled. "Well you have to do it-!"
"Don't need to go to a stupid dance to do it." Rhianna said, and Lily groaned.
"I'm getting you to change your mind. And that's a fact! There's a Hogsmead weekend coming up, and we're buying our dresses. And if you try not to go, I'll just get one for you." Lily said, and stuck out her tongue.
"Lily, I'm telling you, your messing with a lost cause." Draco said, shrugging. Rhianna nodded.
"That's a fact." Rhianna commented, smiling.
