Sail Into My Heart- Chapter 11- The Reconciliation

"Oh Roxas" Aqua cried, hugging me tightly as she sobbed silently on my shoulder. I hugged back, finally letting my tears out in front of Aqua. I pulled away after a few minutes, and wiped away my tears.

"There's no point crying now, Aqua. He's been dead for over 70 years. I've been over him for half of that…" I whispered, getting up with effort.

Aqua stood up and looked up at me disbelievingly, "Roxas don't lie to me. I heard you crying the other night, so I know you're not over him. Just remember that it's okay to cry, it doesn't need to be a secret, and people would rather know that you're comfortable with sharing your feelings."

"Aqua, just leave me alone. Haven't you got any problems of your own to sort out? I mean, Terra's been missing for about a week, and you don't seem to be worried, why on earth aren't you tearing your hair out by now?" I asked, utterly confused at Aqua's suspicious behaviour over the past few days after telling her my story.

"I'll explain when he gets here later, okay?" Aqua smirked, almost reminding of Axel. I looked away, frustrated with the fact that Aqua was keeping secrets from me. "Anyway, I need to go pick Kairi up from School" Aqua said, getting her bag and coat, "I'll be two ticks". Aqua left, creating a waft of air as she shut the door. I took an exasperated sigh, grabbed the daily newspaper for today and sat down again, about to flick through to the crossword page before something caught my eye.

'Survivor tells life story'

A survivor of the Titanic, who has chosen not to be named, has been willing to tell us key parts of his short voyage to New York in 1912.

Hello, thank you for taking part in this interview.

No problem, it's a pleasure; it's about time I got some of this off my mind.

Okay, let's begin. The Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, would you agree with this statement, if so, why?

Of course, who wouldn't agree with that? People who were living in rat-infested estates were chucked into a life of luxury. What couldn't be better than that?

You say that it was, but you only used other people' point of view, what made it your ship of dreams?

*sigh*Okay, I guess it needs to come out. I met someone, someone amazing, my true love. It wasn't meant to be though; we've been apart for decades, which has been to my dismay. I wish I could see him again, I still remember his laughter, his tears and eyes. His eyes were mesmerizing, a deep sea blue, whenever I looked in them, I got lost in the ocean in his eyes. They told me so much, yet so little.

I stopped reading at that point, this sounded scarily weird. I shouldn't be thinking too much into this, as hundreds of souls were lost on the Titanic, and many of them had blue eyes, but the detail of it was similar. No, it's not Axel, he died 70 years ago, he is stone-cold, and sadly gone from this World. I hate to be harsh with it, but all I was going to do was go round in circles in trying to convince myself that this was Axel being interviewed, but for starters if it was him, then why did he choose not to be named, surely if he missed me so much, he'd mention his name so that I could find him or something. Exactly, I had proved myself right, it's not Axel.

Tiredly, I yawned and rubbed my eyes, all of this crying had taken all the energy out of me. I walked into my room, took off my slippers and got into bed; it's time to forget the pain for a little while…

"Roxas? Are you in?" said a muffled voice, which must be Aqua who had once again disturbed my sleep. I chose to ignore her, but listen to the rest of the conversation between the three other people in the room with Aqua.

"Terra, Kairi come on and bring Axel in" Aqua said. Wait, Axel, the Axel who died 70 years ago? I go out of bed as fast as I could and opened my bedroom door. I couldn't believe my eyes, there stood Axel Flame, shocked to see me, yet elated at the same time.

"Aqua, please tell me I'm not going loopy. Please tell that the man who I thought was dead all these years is standing right before me?" I said, inching closer to the man that could still possibly be something of my imagination.

"Roxas, it's really him." Aqua reassured me, hugging Terra as she did. I walked towards him, felt his hair, his ears and his nose. Yep, this was the man that I fell in love with. I hugged him tightly, unwilling to let go.

"I told you we'd meet again." Axel said, in his aged, but deep and soothing voice. I looked up at him, observing his hair, which was red with large streaks of grey, his eyes, that were still beautifully green, and his reassuring smell of cinnamon sticks that I had missed for so long.

"Yeah, you sure did." I whispered, kissing him on the lips. I smiled into the kiss, the feeling of his soft, plush lips felt good after years of being starved of his sweet, sweet love.

A/N: Did you like it? They've finally met after 70 years of being apart! Anyway, please review, I apologise for the time of the update, but (hopefully) the next chapter will be uploaded soon as it is nearly SUMMER HOLIDAYS! Yippee ^^

Anyway, carry on reading!
