Okay, so I'm taking break in between homework subjects, also yesterday was my birthday so, I'm posting in celebration for that. I was going to post yesterday, but we were in memphis for my sis soccer tournament and they took us out to eat and we didn't get back to the hotel rom till like eleven.

Chapter- Come on man.

I was carefully renewing the wards on my arrows when Legolas walked up to me,"Dusky you cannot come with us-"

"What," I Immediatly spat out and straightened looking him in the eye. Are we really gonna do this now? Just after we had made up? Come on man,"What are you talking about? Of course I'm GOING! Wether YOU like it or not! It's not your decision. Alpha has already asked me to come."

Legolas stood firm,"Dusky- it wouldn't be wise to send you into battle right after you froze-"

I growled,"I FROZE because I had just been blown sky-high thanks to that stupid bomb for cripes sake! Don't even try to get me out of this Legolas! I want to go and-"

Legolas strode forward and gripped my shoulders,"I will not loose you," he wasn't yelling, but he wasn't exactly whispering either. I think he realized this and he dropped his voice,"If you were to go and then get killed I would never forgive myself. You must stay here-"

"No," I wriggled out of his grasp,"I won't- you can't make me," my eyes started to tear up,"You won't have to worry about it if you just TRUST me!"

Legolas scowled,"Dusky-"

"No," I chocked back sobs,"Legolas. What if... What if I don't go and you die? What if I loose YOU?" Legolas stated at me with a stunned silence,"Don't you get it? I care about you dammit! I don't want to loose you either!"

Legolas' expression softened and he closed the distance that was between us before he hugged me,"I am sorry Dusky. I did not mean to make you cry. Forgive me. I now realize how much going into this battle means for you."

I smiled into his hair,"Thank you Legolas," I kissed his cheek,"Let's make a deal to watch each others back out there. That sound good?"

Legolas kissed my cheek,"Yes, indeed it does."

We walked to the stables and Legolas helped Gimli up into Arod and I mounted EverLost.

"Horse men," Gimli exclaimed as I rode next to him and Legolas," I wish I could muster an army of Dwarves, fully armed and filthy. "

"Your kinsmen may have no need to ride to war," Legolas stated solemnly," I fear war already marches on their own lands."

I watched a everyone got ready. My heart was pounding, was this the end? Was I going to die soon? Was anyone I cared about?

" Now is the hour," Éomer shouted," Riders of Rohan. Oaths you have taken. Now fulfil them all, to Lord and Land! Hah!"

The Riders galloped from Edoras. I spotted Merry as we galloped along with them too.

Aragorn, Alpha, and Théoden and I looked down on the armies from our high encampment.

"Six thousand spears, less than half of what I had hoped for," Théoden murmmered.

"Six thousand will not be enough to break the lines of Mordor," Aragorn said solemnly.

Théoden looked at him,"More will come."

"Every hour lost hastens Gondor's defeat," I commented and Alpha nodded in approval.

" We have until dawn then we must ride," Aragorn said.

Theoden nodded his head in agreement. A neighing horse attracted our attention. I particularly noticed how much difficulty the men had in calming down the horses that seem to be nervous of something. I silently walked up to Legolas, Gimli and Éomer,"The horses are restless and the men are quiet," Legolas commented.

"They grow nervous in the shadow of the mountain," Éomer agreed.

"That road there where does that lead," Gimli motioned over to a small path into some rocks.

" It is the road to the Dimholt," Legolas anwsered him as he glanced over at it,"the door under the mountain.

"None who venture there ever return," Eomer warned us,"That mountain is evil.

He walked away. I ran forward to help a man that was struggling to calm down a frightened horse. I finished and turned just in time to hear Gimli call to Aragorn, who jumped and turned around to face us,"Let's find some food," Aragorn looked back to the road before he followed us.
