"I agree with Queen Dusky," Aragorn yelled," I do not believe it. I will not," he turned to me," Say a few words," I blanched. Was he serious? Me? Talk to them. Aragorn almost smiled at my surprise, he nodded and begged with his eyes," Please."
Damn his puppy dog eyes, I steeled my nerves and had EverLost trot up a bit so everyone could see me,"Men of Middle-Earth. Ancient Ones of our houses. We must fight for this land once again. But we have a hope so strong that we will not be defeated! Today, we shall fight. Today, we WILL win."
I was met with a roar of agreement. Suddenly the gate began to open and Orcs began to march through,"Pull back," Aragorn shouted,"Pull back!"
We rode back toward the army with the Orcs marching behind us. I noticed that the soldiers looked uncertain as the Orcs march toward us," Hold your ground," I yelled with Aragorn,"Hold your ground!
Aragorn cantered across the front of the army addressing us," Sons and daughters of Gondor, of Rohan, of the Forests of middle earth, my brothers, my sisters," Aragorn called, eyeing the few women in the crowd," I see it in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day! An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight!"
The men and women look encouraged. I let out a breach of relief.
" By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand! Men of the West! The Ancient Ones of the Forests, plains, and marshes!
We all unsheath our weapons and stood ready. Aragorn wheeled around on his horse to face the oncoming enemy. We could tell that the army had completely surrounded us. Myheart-rate spread up, my nerves crashed around in my stomach. i was probably going to die.
