Chapter - The case file ends and real life begins.
Several months had passed since the anniversary of the day I had disappeared. A full three years since I reappeared. Dressed in armor and bloody from battle. The FBI said I had been taken with my second-cousin by some cult that worshiped the Hunger Games. That I and Ryan were the only ones to survive. Speaking of him, Ryan still lives in Texas. He created a book called 'The real Hunger Games' a totally fictional book. But the FBI thought it be a good idea for him to fabricate something for them to back up. He can still see Jura in his dreams. He misses her so much.
I hate living this lie, like a victim.
But if you're reading this extremely classified case file. You know the truth. You know what happened.
Today, I say in my room, holding the Tiara that had been in my grasp when the lights had grabbed me. My armor was hiding in my closet. Any weapons that had been with me were currently in Middle Earth somewhere. Mom thinks the government confiscated them and my armor.
As I mentioned before, Ryan got to connect with Jura in his dreams. I was jealous. If anything I got haunted by memories. They were... Unforgettable.
I sighed. I pulled the armor out of the closet and put it into a backpack with the Tiara. Then shoved a folder almost bursting with songs/music sheets into it too.
I calmly left the house. But inside I was extremely nervous. I was sure mom would have had a cow - scratch that she'd have the whole farm- if she found out I'd gone out by myself. I threw the bag into the back of my car and then drove out of the driveway.
I dialed Ryan,"Will you be there?"
"You know I will be."
I smiled at the sound of his determined voice,"I'm still having a hard time believing this will work."
"Just get there," Ryan laughed,"I'll meet ya."
We hung up and tears sprouted from my eyes. Legolas... I wonder what he looked like now. I bet he hadn't changed a bit. Because of my powers -that I had hid from the government- and connection with the ancient ones. I had barely changed, myself. My hair had grown out, down to the middle of my ribcage. That was it. Well, that and I had grown like two inches.
I carefully dialed my mom and left her a message,"Hey Mom. You know I love you so much. Almost more than life itself. Just remember that before I tell you what's going on. Ryan... Ryan and I are going back. I-I can't live here anymore. Neither can Ryan. It's... It's too hard for us. You'll understand right? I can't live without him mom. I can't go on without my Love. I love you so much. Don't cry for me okay? Just know I'll be happy. Happy in Middle Earth."
I called my sister, Dad, step-mom and step-brothers,my actual blood related cousin, Uncles, Aunts, Grandmother, even my friends. I left them all similar messages. I wouldn't be back.
I parked my car at the edge of a field. A single tree sat in the center of the long grass and I pulled out my backpack and quickly changed into my armor. When I finished I climbed out of the car. My backpack over one shoulder. It was old and worn. I picked it on purpose. It was going to be burned along with the folder (not the music) when I got back to Middle Earth. The worlds shouldn't mix. Ryan and I seemed to be one of the only exceptions. Hopefully there weren't anymore.
Ryan pulled up in his truck, he was also in his armor. I had happily mended it as well as mine long ago. Before we even had this chance, for momentous.
I smiled and placed the tiara on my head. We held hands for reassurance as we walked over to the tree. Near it's roots was a small hole. One that I shivered at the sight of. The place I had almost died at.
Well one of them anyway.
We climbed down into the hole and Ryan gapped at my carving that had slowly turned to stone over time,"Woah."
I rolled my eyes,"How exactly are we going to know how this works? Jura only said to come and climb in here."
Ryan smirked,"Just trust me cuz," he pulled out a small bottle of water and uncapped it. Then threw it on the walls,"That should signal it for them."
Signal for what? Geez it's so annoying to be kept out of the loop. What if it had rained on the other side? How was wet walls supposed to signal someone?
That's when I heard sirens. Police sirens. A lot of police sirens.
Mom. She must of done this. Who'd she call the Feds? I wouldn't be surprised. She got at least five of the agent's cards so she could call them in-case someone she knew went missing again. They probably tracked my phone- which was now sitting in my car.
My eyes widened,"Ryan. Whatever -and Whoever- is going to do something. They need to do it. Like NOW!"
Ryan was now able to hear the sirens too,"I know."
We waited in agonizing silence. My hand squeezed Ryan's tighter,"Come on. Come on," I whispered.
The sirens were still going but I heard doors slam shut. The angry or excited voices yelling,"Over there! By the tree!"
My eyes widened in fear,"Come on! Come on!"
I glanced up to see someone's head pop over the edge. Before all I saw was multicolored lights.
I blinked. We were standing in... The hole... Just from a different perspective. The sky was a deeper blue. The birds were singing. There were more trees.
Ryan called out,"Hey? Anyone up there?"
A giant purple tail reached in and grabbed us.
