Chapter 19
Amy was sitting down with Sonic; he had brought her to a pizza shop for their date. The same pizza shop Amy had gone with Shadow. The name Shadow reminded her of what had happened last night.
*Flashback*
"Shadow, there's something I have to tell you." The pink hedgehog entered his room, only to be faced by no one. "Huh?" She was about to walk to his bed when she realized that the balcony door was open. Tip-toeing quietly to the balcony, she saw him standing and staring at the dark sky. Suddenly, she felt all of her courage go down the drain. She couldn't tell him, not yet. She just couldn't. Watching him sigh and slowly start to turn around, she quickly sprinted out of the room, carefully so as to not make any noise.
*End of flashback*
This morning, she left a note for him, saying that she had gone shopping. When in reality she had been walking in the park, thinking about all of the things that had happened in her life in the past few weeks. She then went home to see him watching TV, and told him about her date with Sonic. He had just shrugged and had told her that he hoped she would have fun. After that, she went to Tails' workshop, and met Sonic, who brought her here.
"Amy, are you ok?" Sonic asked her, causing the rosey female to quickly nod her head.
"Of course. Why did you ask me that?" She questioned in return, smiling at him gently.
"Oh, nothing... Well you keep spacing off, that's why." The blue hedgehog explained, taking a bite off of his pizza. Amy just looked at him, smiling slightly. She had decided that she wouldn't tell him. She did like him after all, last night she had gone a little crazy. Not just a little, a lot! This is crazy, when I'm with Shadow, I like him more than Sonic, and when I'm with Sonic, I like him more than Shadow. "Aren't you gonna eat? If you don't like pizza, we can always go somewhere else." Sonic paused when the pizza was near his mouth; he had thought that she would like it here. He had seen her with faker before, that's why he had brought her here.
Amy's eyes widened slightly and she shook her head. "I'm just not really hungry." She answered, and when she saw a small frown on his face, she picked a small piece of pizza up and began eating. She saw him give her a cute smile. When the rosy coloured female saw the smile disappear, she stopped eating, and followed his gaze. Her heart almost leaped in her throat at who she saw. SHADOW was making his way to their table, a huge smirk on his tan muzzle.
"Well, what do we have here?" He sat down on a chair opposite them. "Do you mind if I cut in through your date? What I mean is, is it ok if I sit here with you two?" The pink female nodded her head with a smile.
"Of course. I'm sure Sonic wouldn't mind either." She nervously glanced at her blue hero, he was sitting next to her, to see his hands clench into fists under the table. He opened his mouth to say something, obviously something not so good, so Amy stopped him by placing her hand on his shoulder. Both of them didn't see Shadow frown slightly. He then cleared his throat to get their attention.
"I see you finally confessed your feelings, faker!" Shadow smirked; he was of course trying to get Sonic mad. The azure hedgehog opened his mouth, but again, Amy stopped him by stepping on his foot. Seeing that he didn't say anything, and was just scowling at him, the ebony male tried again. "I'm surprised, who made you realize by the way? I know that you couldn't have figured it out by yourself with your thick skull and big head... Faker." Shadow leaned back with a small, lazy smirk stretched on his lips.
Sonic finally lost his control. "Are you calling ME faker, huh?" When he saw the black and red-striped male simply nod his head, added. "That's funny you know, cause the only faker around here us you!" Shadow rolled his crimson eyes, and glanced at Amy. She was looking at them both while biting her bottom lip. The cobalt hedgehog turned to her and said, "Ames, let's go somewhere else." Before the pink hedgehog could say anything, Shadow cut in.
"Ames? What kind of stupid nickname is that?! It reminds me of apes, which doesn't suit her at all." Amy felt her face flush red when Shadow said that, how could he think of Ames as apes?! Seriously, did she in any way resemble a monkey? The blue male rolled his olive green orbs and looked at Shadow with a big scowl on his face.
"Oh yeah? And can you think of anything better to call her? Ames is a beautiful nickname." He argued back.
"Rose." Shadow said simply, smiling at the pink hedgehog. She returned the smile, although her cheeks turned a darker shade of red. She just knew that she liked him; there was no need to feel so confused about it. And she, knowing her feelings for him made her act like a total idiot in front of him. She did blush around Sonic, but not this much.
"What about rose?" Sonic asked, seeming a little confused. The ebony male crossed his arms over his chest, and raised his eyebrow a little.
"You idiot, Rose is a better nickname for her. You've seen those pink roses, haven't you? She is beautiful, gentle and fragile like them." Shadow answered, seeing Amy turn even redder, making him smile with amusement in his eyes.
"Yeah? Well, Ames is..." Sonic trailed off, not being able to think of anything.
"Apes." Shadow finished his sentence for him, a smirk on his face. The blue hedgehog's jaw dropped a little, and he frowned. "Amy, can I talk to you for a second." The ebony male asked, seeing her look at him in confusion.
"Sure." The pink hedgehog answered, feeling her heart beat faster. She didn't know why though. Perhaps it was the way he looked at her. With so much seriousness in his eyes.
"In private." Shadow added, Sonic looking at them with a frown on his peachy muzzle.
"I'll be back." Amy stood up from her seat, smiling at the blue hedgehog, before turning and following the ebony hedgehog.

"What did you wanna talk to me about, Shadow?" Amy asked, both of them had gone to the back of the pizza shop.
Shadow sighed, and looked up at her. "I don't know how to start." The rosy female glanced at him, feeling nervous all of a sudden. What did Shadow have to say? "Well, you see..." He trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck.
"What? What is it Shadow?" She asked, curious as to why he was acting this way.
"Faker isn't doing anything wrong, is he?" Shadow questioned, looking at her with his ruby red orbs.
"Sonic? Of course not! Is that what you wanted to ask me?" Amy answered back, feeling slightly disappointed. With the way he was acting, she thought that he had something really important to say. Something like, telling her that he liked her...
"Not really. I know what a kiss means now. You know, the one when your lips touch." He said, causing her heart to race in her chest. "And I know you kept saying sorry, but it doesn't really matter. I don't want you feeling uncomfortable around me."
Amy glanced at him. "Tell me what a kiss means then, and how you know."
"A kiss could mean I like you, or even I love you. It can also be done without having any meaning at all. I went to this human guy and told him to tell me what it meant. He got scared at first, but then got a little used to me. He searched it for me on something called a laptop and by using something called the internet." The ebony hedgehog with red-streaks explained.
"Yeah, the only reason why I kissed you last night was because I got caught in the moment." Amy said, having found an excuse as to why she acted like that. She tried to forget why she had actually done it, besides it was obvious that Shadow didn't like her that way. She tried to hide her sad frown, and smiled a little instead. "Is that all?"
"No..." Shadow trailed off, the pink hedgehog looking at him while brushing her bangs away. She had a feeling that this was what he wanted to really say. The main subject of their conversation. "It's time for me to move out of your house."
"What! You can't do that! Tell me you're joking, Shadow." Amy felt a frown pull at her lips. Why did he want to move out of her house?
The black and red male sighed and crossed his arms. "I'm serious Rose, I have to move out."
"I thought we talked about this before. You're staying in my house, and that is final! Unless you can convince me otherwise." The rose-coloured hedgehog put her hands on her hips, sadness shown in her eyes.
"I cannot stay in your house. The reason? It's simple. You're dating faker now, and what is he going to think, his girlfriend in the same house as me?" Shadow asked, seeing Amy's hands drop from her hips, and a frown form on her face.
"Sonic isn't like that! He doesn't care! Are you bored of living with me, Shadow? 'Cause if you are, you don't need to get Sonic involved."
"No, that's not it. I just don't want to be a pain in the neck anymore." He said, seeing Amy frown again.
"Shadow, how many times do I have to tell you that I WANT you to stay with me? Why do you keep bringing this up?" The pink hedgehog sighed, looking at him. The ebony hedgehog also sighed, and glanced up at her.
"Fine, I won't bring this up again. I don't mind living with you, it's just that I don't want
to be a bother." Shadow explained, seeing the pink female smile.
"That's more like it! If you don't have anything else to say, I'll go back to Sonic. He's waiting for me, and he's probably really bored now." She said, checking his expression.
"Sure, I'm not stopping you. I need to go now anyway. Will you do me a favour?" The black and red hedgehog asked, Amy looking at him curiously.
"Of course! What is it?" She questioned in return, watching him as he took out the green chaos emerald.
"I keep losing this. I'm going to go and search for the other chaos emeralds, I don't want to lose it again. Will you look after it for me?" He asked cutely, making Amy smile.
"Of course!" She opened her small red purse, glad that she had brought it along with her. Grabbing the emerald from him, she threw it inside, closing it after.
"I'll be going then." Shadow said, seeing Amy smile at him.
"Alright, I will see you later." She said, watching Shadow nod and turn to walk away. The ebony hedgehog turned back around, looking at her from head to toe.
"You look beautiful by the way." He said, and when he saw a blush creep its way onto her face, smirked before he skated off. Amy felt her face burn, and she looked down at herself. She was wearing a long-sleeved red turtle-neck top with white skinny jeans. She had straightened her pink quills that reached just above her shoulders, and on her feet, she wore fluffy brown boots.
"Thanks, Shadow..." Amy smiled brightly, although he had already gone.

"Ames, you're back, finally!" Sonic sighed in relief, watching his girlfriend as she sat down beside him. "I was beginning to think that you had forgotten all about me!"
"Silly Sonikku! Why would I forget about you?" She giggled, in a happier mood since she had spoken with her new crush, Shadow the Hedgehog.
Sonic's eyes narrowed slightly, wondering what Shadow had told her.
"What did HE tell you?" The blue hedgehog asked, frowning a little. His Amy was in a better mood than before.
"Oh, nothing. Just asked me if I could look after his emerald for him, told me that he kept losing it." She said, seeing her beloved azure hedgehog nod his head.
"Ok, whatever. Don't you wanna eat anymore, Ames?" When he saw her shake her head, he grinned widely. "Well, then let's go somewhere else! I have a lot of places to take you to! Trust me, you're gonna have a lot of fun!"
Amy raised her eyebrows, but stood up when Sonic did. He picked her up bridal style, and sped off.

Amy smiled to herself, as she made her way to her house. She glanced down at her watch, seeing that it was 6:00pm already. She had a great time with Sonic. First he took her to the beach, where they played around in the sea and ate ice-creams. After that, he took her to the cinema where they watched a romantic movie, all the while Sonic getting over his nerves and finally being able to kiss her properly, as in PROPERLY. Finally, both of them went to the park, where Amy sat down on a swing and the cobalt hedgehog pushed her back and forth gently. That was when Amy realised that it had gotten late and she told him that she needed to go home.
And now here she was, having finished from her date with Sonic, and making her way to her house, where she would see Shadow. The pink hedgehog then felt herself going off to space, thinking about her black and red-striped hero. His captivating crimson eyes, his smirk that made her melt like ice in front of him, his... He was just so handsome and incredibly hot! Not to mention, strong and protective. She blushed as she thought about him, wanting to laugh at herself for being afraid of him just a month ago. Not really paying attention to her surroundings, she never heard a twig snap, nor sense any movement in the bushes.
"Seriously Shadow, you're starting to drive me mad. Why do I feel this way for you?" She whispered to herself, wrapping her arms around herself as she walked on, quickening her pace a little. She didn't feel very safe out here. Sonic had offered to take her home, but again, she had refused. The cold breeze lifted up her quills, making her shiver slightly. She was dumb enough to not wear a coat in this cold weather. "Stupid Amy, you're gonna probably catch a cold." The rosy female scolded herself, freezing when she heard movement behind her.
Spinning around, she frowned when she saw no one, her jade green eyes looking from left to right. "The wind is probably playing a trick on me." Amy muttered, although she didn't really fool herself. Deciding not to pay too much attention to it, she walked faster, wanting to reach her cosy, warm home. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder, and when she turned around, a hand placed itself on her mouth firmly, making it hard for her to scream. The being let out a chuckle, its red eyes burning in hers. Amy's eyes widened and she felt herself get picked up. She tried screaming, but it was no use. She tried kicking and punching in an effort to free herself, but still, no use.
"The boss will be very happy to see you, Amy Rose!" Her captor let out another laugh, speeding away into the night...
*Gasp* Who has kidnapped Amy, or should I say, teenage-napped her! XD Please review! I wanna know what you guys think! We're coming to an end by the way, there's like only 2-3 chapters left of the story!
