"Spirit I need your help with something" I looked up from my book in the science labs. "What is it?" I tilted my head slightly and Frostbite just smiled. He gestured for me to follow and led me to a screen. "There have been strange ghost readings from outer space near Earth's orbit. It could be a threat so I want you to go and check it out" I stared at him in confusion.

"OK first off not that I don't want to go into space, because that would be really cool, but why are you sending me? And how do you even get readings from there?" I gestured wildly at the screen. "The humans' equipment is unable to detect this anomaly and even if they could they do not have the right skills for ghost readings. You were the best candidate plus I thought you would enjoy a trip into space," he ruffled my hair and I laughed, "as for the readings we a probe to take readings every now and then."

He showed me a picture of the probe which really looked more like a rover bot from TV but whatever. "Cool but how am I going to get into space? I don't think I could break the Earth's atmosphere even at my top speed" I could fly close to Danny's speed, still working on breaking his record. Although I don't think even his fastest speed could get him into space.

Frostbite pressed a button and a compartment rises from the floor revealing a jetpack. "Don't break it. It took months just to build this prototype" I eagerly strapped it on and nodded to his instructions. "Here's your communicator. Good luck" I put in the earpiece and flew off.

This was going to be so cool! I went through the Fenton portal and flew into the air. I started the jetpack and in a span of five minutes I was in space. Man this jetpack is fast; my hair was frizzled in many various ways. I straightened out my hair and put on my hood. Outer space looked so cool actually.

The stars were so beautiful and the Earth was so amazing. Wait, focus Spirit. "I'm in position Frostbite" I said into the communicator. "Good… work… readings… nearby… look… around" there was some static but I could understand slightly what he meant. Using the jetpack, on low this time, I flew around keeping an eye out for anything weird. And strangely enough I did. Well I didn't see it but I heard a man crying.

"Where is that coming from?" I muttered to myself. It was weird I always thought they said that sound never travelled in space, well I guess unless you're a ghost because the laws of physics doesn't really apply to us, at least think so… but anyway back to the sound of a man crying.

I looked around for anyone here. Hey wait there's a guy near Earth's orbit. I flew closer and tried to get a better look of the guy.

Oh. My. God!

It's Vlad, it's Vlad I can't believe it's actually him! He looks so sad and still in his ghost form. Luckily or unluckily he didn't see me. He looks really pathetic, I feel bad for him. "Spirit, did you find anything?" I turned off the communicator; Frostbite didn't need to know for now. I placed a hand on his shoulder and he jumped and stared at me.

"And who are you?" he asked acting like he wasn't doing anything. "Spirit. And your Vlad Plamius, I heard about you from Danny" I was half lying but he didn't need to know that. "Oh and did the little badger ask you to come here to gloat for him? He's already ruined my afterlife!" afterlife, wasn't he a halfa too?

"Aren't you a halfa?" he looked even more upset. "Not anymore, after being in space for a few months my human side died from hunger and thirst" I stared at him dumbfounded. "How do you know?" he stared at me like I was crazy and I just shrugged, "I mean how do you know your human side is dead? Maybe it just went into some corner of your body. Some food and water and I'm sure your human side would return."

I was guessing but it was possible, I mean according to Frostbite a halfa can push their ghost core into a corner of their mind or body when their ghost side is weak. If their ghost side could do that I'm pretty sure their human side could too. Well it's an 80-20 chance but better than nothing for him I guess.

He seemed to be thinking about it but still looked depressed. "Why don't we go back to Earth and I'll give you some food and water? It must be lonely up here" many would think I was crazy for helping him but I think he deserved my help.

He began to stare longingly at the Earth. "I wish I could but I can't" I tilted my head in confusion. He put his hand up in front of him and a shield appeared. "A week after I was sent up here they built a ghost shield specifically keyed into my ecto signature to keep me from coming back to Earth" I frowned slightly.

That was wrong on so many levels. I mean, yeah he tried to take over the world but no one deserves this loneliness and isolation, I should know. "I'll help you get back if you let me" I held out my hand and he stared at it skeptically. "Why would you help me?" I smiled at him gently, "no one deserves to be alone."

He hesitated and took my hand and smiled a little. I smiled back but got serious. Ok, so there's a ghost shield around Earth's orbit that blocks Vlad from going back. How do I get him through it? "I have an idea but I'll have to come back since I don't have the right equipment with me" I told him. My plan was simple actually. Suck him into a Fenton thermos and bring him to the Far Frozen with me.

"How can I trust you to come back?" he questioned. "I promise you that I will. Trust me on this that I will get you back to Earth, well the Ghost zone at least" I joked a little and he smiled. I started the jetpack and took off back to Earth. "I'll be back! I promise!" I shouted along the way to him and went straight into Fenton works.

I phased my head through the lab ceiling and found no one. "I have to be quick" I phased in and looked around for the thermos. "Found it!" I check to see it was the first model and it hadn't been used for a while. I started the engines and turned intangible. I flew back into space and turned on my communicator for a minute.

"Spirit what happened? We lost your signal for a second" think of a good lie, think of a good lie. "The communicator must have got turned off accidentally. There are some ectoranuim rocks floating around here they must be affecting the signal. But don't worry I found the source of the readings and I'm taking care of it" I lied.

I hate having to lie to him but if I had told him the truth he may not take it well. "Vlad!" I called out as I slowed down. I uncapped the thermos and pointed it at him. "You're going to have to be sucked into the thermos if you want to go back. I'm going to bring you to my home so you're going to have to sit tight for a while" he nodded and I sucked him in and capped the thermos.

"I'll be quick" I whispered into the thermos and blasted off once again back to Earth and into the portal. I hid the thermos in my cloak and went into the science labs to give back the stuff. "I'm back!" I shouted to him holding out the jetpack and communicator.

"Excellent!" he smiled and I felt a little guilty about lying to him. "Great, I'm going to my room, knock if you need anything" I flew off a little too quickly but I could feel Vlad knocking on the thermos. I shut the door to my room and let Vlad out. He landed face first on my floor and I put the thermos to one side.

"Sorry" I helped him up and guided him to a chair. "I'll be back with some food and water. Try not to be seen" I floated out of the room and into the kitchen. I made a couple of ham sandwiches and brought two bottles of water. I'm still not sure why Frostbite even had food but if I remembered correctly, ghosts had to eat once in a while to replenish our ectoplasm.

Luckily for Vlad the food I made for him wasn't laced with ecto, it wouldn't feed his human side. Walking back into my room I saw Vlad standing up at my desk reading my book about everyone's auras. I cleared my throat and shut the door with my foot. I placed the stuff on my desk and held out my hand. Vlad stared confused before he finally got it and placed my book in my hand.

"You know, no that I mind or anything, but it may be better to ask me before reading my personal book on auras" I told him placing my book back on the shelf. "It is quite interesting actually" he started eating some of the sandwiches and I can see he's anxious to ask me something.

"If you want to ask me something just go ahead" I looked through my closet to see if I had a spare blanket. "What does my aura look like?" I froze and dropped the blanket. "Are you sure you want me to see? It may not be what you would like?" actually I could tell if he really had changed by reading his aura but I trust him.

"I'm sure" I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. When I opened them again I could see his aura. "Your aura is very interesting. It's orange-red which means confidence and creative power but it's also dark green an aura of jealousy, resentment, insecurity, low self-esteem and blame to self and others" I closed my eyes again and I couldn't see his aura anymore.

I went back to grabbing the extra blanket. "You'll take the bed" I told him clearing out all his garbage. He didn't protest when I gave him a stern look and he just rested.

I check my calendar and sighed. It was going to be my death day soon and honestly I wasn't looking forward to it at all.
