I shook Vlad while he lay asleep on my bed. "Wake up!" I shouted in his ear and he finally jerked awake. I had been taking care of him and hiding him in my room for a month now, I think his human form should have been replenished by now.

"Try transforming. It should work" the black rings formed around his waist and he transformed back into Vlad Masters and I cheered. My theory was actually right and Vlad didn't die in space. "Thank you" he smiled at me and I hugged his now warm body. "That's what friends are for" I told him cheerfully.

"Spirit, I have some news to-" I saw Frostbite standing at my door in shock. "Frostbite don't freak out I can explain" I moved him into my room and glanced along the hallway before shutting and locking the door. I turn around to find Frostbite holding Vlad up by his collar, growling in his face. "No, no, no, no don't Frostbite" I tried to pull his arm away but failed miserably.

"He could kill us all!" he shouted angrily in my face and I backed away. "But he didn't! I've been taking care of him for a month! He could have killed me, again, at any time! He didn't and I've seen his aura, he's changed at least by a little" I shouted back at him. Frostbite threw Vlad back down and growled at me instead.

"You know what he did; you saw it in your dimension! He cannot be trusted, he tried to rule the world or let all of us be killed for Clockwork's sake!" I could feel tears in my eyes but I was still furious at my mentor. "Why can't you just trust me?! Yes, what he did was terrible but he does not deserve what he got! He got banned from his own home and was left alone! No one deserves that kind of loneliness and isolation, it isn't right!" he looked actually shocked at what I had said but I didn't really pay much attention.

"You're like a father to me. If you can't even trust my judgment than I'm leaving! Some kind of father you are" I left the room without a second glance at him.

I flew out of the tribe angrily and landed at one of the far off mountains. I went inside one of the caves and blast a boulder. I screamed and it echoed for a moment. "Why couldn't he just believe me? I mean after all we've been through he doesn't trust me?!" I rambled off to myself pacing the cave until I felt a gloved hand on my shoulder.

I look up and see Vlad, in ghost form, looking at me concerned. "That was quite a scene you made back there" I gave him a look, "you think? I mean, he been taking care of me since I died yet he doesn't even trust me!" I sighed and sat on a boulder. Vlad sat next to me and put an arm around my shoulders. "You know, it's not a matter of trust. He's only looking out for you because he loves you. What he said was true, I did try to kill everyone but people do change after being in isolation. He was just worried about your safety" I smiled sadly at him.

"You're not gonna ask about me being from another dimension?" he shook his head. "You can tell me when you want to" he smiled back and I hugged him around the neck. He hesitated but put his arms around me and hugged back. I let go of him just in time to hear someone call my name.

"Frostbite!" he looked over and actually looked relieved. "Thank Pariah we found you" I hugged his fur, "it's ok, I'm safe, Vlad actually found me first and comforted me." He looked over to the halfa who just stared at him with no emotion on his face. I looked up at Frostbite with puppy dog eyes and a pout. "Fine he can stay but we will watch you, if you give me a reason to suspect you, you will not be a halfa anymore" I cheered not caring about the threat because I know that Vlad wouldn't do anything.

"Now let's go home" I flew next to Frostbite and Vlad followed behind. Frostbite would look behind his back everyone in a while to see if Vlad would do anything but finally stopped when we were back in the tribe and he was escorted to his own hut. "Spirit, remember the news I was going to tell you?" I nodded and we walked into the house. "As you know, I have been helping you and caring for you since you died, nearly one year. Now although it is not that long in ghost standards I have grown attached to you as I see you have grown attached to me," I smiled at what he was possible implying, "how would you like to be my god daughter?"

"Definitely!" I practically screamed at my now god father. My afterlife was getting better.
