The tale is about the Altmer high elf named Karanya she is learning to become more of the legendary Dovahkiin . Her partner accompanying her throughout the journey Is the faithful Lydia . In the process of learning the way of the dragonborn Karanya soon learns that she has been summoned by the very first dragonborn named Malik .

Lydia had always thought that her best friend Karanya was secretive about her emotions and she had a dark mean personality . Even though they seemed far apart in their personalities they are close when they need each other in battle .

Karanya listened to every sound that startled her watching making sure nothing attacked them on her shift .

Lydia : Karanya ? I am ready to take my shift .

She said rubbing her eyes and yawning .

Karanya : No I am fine I can stay up until dawn you just rest I wont take no for an answer…

She said with a cold tone in her voice as Lydia heard most of the time . Lydia knew that when she said something like she did she meant it .

Lydia : Yes my thane…

Lydia went and laid back down as she was told to do .

It turned dawn and Lydia was up and ready to go as her worries started to grow about her thane not sleeping like she was supposed to . Lydia knew Karanya would never admit that she was tired . Another time along the line Lydia would ask her thane to at least sleep and let her take on her own shifts , But not yet half way through their journey she would speak to her thane about her worries .
