Okay I hope this chapter suits your cliffhanger appitites :D
The fort was a bustle of activity. Druids preparing their new armor, techs getting their 'secret weapon' ready. I didn't know what it was and considering I probably wouldn't even if they told me, I didn't bother asking.
Melinda had been assigned the earpiece to give the cue to use the weapon. She had every musical instrument she owned on her, as did the few other Glamour Sirens she got to join us. Melinda was outfitted in scale stylized armor of siren design and her peace loving butt looked so out of place among us warriors.
Jessica was dressed in a sleek black armor suit she had volunteered to test. It didn't look like much but I sensed the magic in the weave. She had two hand guns on her legs, a shotgun on her back and a really big gun I haven't a name for in her grasp. Her eyes were already flashing red as she sensed the hunt was afoot with the willingly demon possessed druid armies.
Sam had decided to help the druid technicians (I will never get used to saying that) so he wasn't as armored up as the others.
Dean was in full druid made armor with three gun-belts and seven guns that I could see. His eyes looked just as full of bloodlust as Jessica's.
I tightened the leather braces on my arms, officially the least armored for once but I refused to wear anything but what I worked so hard to make with the charms and breaking in each blessed piece. I was decked out with weapons. Not one a gun. I had a Claymore on my back along with my bow and quiver. I had two katanas and a broadswoard on my right hip, sais angled down on my back, fans in my belt, dirk in my boot, throwing knives and stars on my left hip along with a rope, and a halberd in my right hand.
Bobby had arrived early this morning cussing up a storm about flying on Draka. He would help some of the Lorespinners, druids who kept track of our spells, legends, lineage, and such, trying to find a way to weaken the Drough.
True Speed nosed my shoulder, I turned to my black steed, armored in silver and my clan plaid. My battle axe and extra quivers of arrows hung on his sides.
Your mate he said, tossing his head in Neal's direction. I glanced over to where Neal was dressed in armor carrying a set of guns around his waist per my request and a broadsword on his hip and a bow and quiver on his back. He looked so out of place. I felt sorry for him.
"Yeah…" I drug out, "We'll put him in the last company for his safety." True Speed snorted. I jumped into the saddle gripping his mane. The other generals followed my lead.
"Page!" I called, a young boy ran up to my side. "Deliver this message to my husband," I said handing him a slip of paper. He nodded and dashed off about the time the horns sounded to alert us to the drough's approach.
"Form up!" I called, "Castiel, any assistance you can give would be appreciated. Generals, with your ranks! Keep your familiars close!"
"But, my Queen, they are usually the first wave," Catirone argued.
"Not this time," I said.
"But-"
"I said keep them close."
"My Queen, I must protest!"
"Shut up, Catirone!" I screeched, then taking a deep breath, I composed myself, "I mean quiet please, General." Isla chuckled and turned to Catirone.
"She'll be a great general," my aunt said.
"What do you mean?" spluttered the flabbergasted general as our horses pranced in anticipation for the fight as the witch fires drew nearer.
"Twas Winston Churchill who said 'battles are won by slaughter and maneuver. The greater the general, the more he contributes to maneuver, the less he demands in slaughter.' Lindsey knows how to maneuver the battlefield and her generals," Isla said smiling.
I smiled back, "And I ain't never played a game of chess."
I turned to the druids gathered and looked on each face. Some I knew wouldn't return. I took a deep breath and began to speak.
"My brothers and sisters! Our enemy is on our threshold! They come with dark powers and demon magic in their blood. They presume they are stronger because of it! But they are WRONG! On our side we have pure mie magic, angels and a few demons as well! The Valkyries are on their way and I, your Queen, will lead you with Ever Growing power, Deep Magic, and the Druid Crown Jewels, melding with the demon blood I carry," the jewels appeared on me, "Our ancestors have claimed me as Queen what of you, my people, can you be governed by a mikokai?"
"Long live the Queen! Long live Lindsey!" they cried I smiled turning True Speed as my claws emerged, my fangs tore free, and my eyes burned red.
"Then to arms! To stations! To battle!" I snarled my voice thick with bloodlust. "Charge!" I called. As we raced onto the field I heard a voice not one of my familiars fill my head Child born of fire and earth use the elemental power you've known since birth.
I flickered my eyes to Jessica who nodded and began to fire her gun. I smirked when the first druid broke away.
"Call it," I yelled to Jessica, a game we had going. I leaped into my saddle and launched out of it landing nimbly and racing over the ground swift as any horse.
"True Speed, protect Neal!" I roared breaking from the pack to face the drough. She sent forth a spell that rolled off me like water as I am immune to magic cast on me.
With a roar I stomped on the ground sending forth a spray of rock and fire. She screeched and was buried under the spray.
There was a tremendous crash as our armies collided. Horses and people screamed as they ran into spears, swords, and other weapons. Archers arrows fired with expert precision on our armies.
Milady! True Speed called Draka guards your mate! Furries take the sky! Your orders?
"Aerial Forces! Attack!" I called watching dragons, alicorns, griffens, pegusi, and various other flying mounted, and unmounted familiars to the sky. The riderless phoenixes broke from the pack setting the sky and field ablaze.
True Speed, get me to Mirta I ordered. The horse snorted and reared pawing the air with his sharp freshly shod hooves, before leaping forward and plunging toward the one druid doing the least in battle.
True Speed leapt over obstacles and dodged attacks until a stone wall appeared before us. I jumped from the saddle again crashing into the wall and shattering it.
"Mirta!" I screamed. The Druid looked up and glared at me, her eyes smoldering, "Are you too scared to fight a Halfling yourself?! Some queen you'd make!"
"You worry so about your throne when your consort's life is in the balance, you have no room to talk!"
"My consort?" confusion was written all over my face, "Neal!" I spun and noticed mines going off. Draka had to abandon her post to protect him from a hippogriff. I dove through the ranks pushing various druid, drough, and mie aside.
I vaguely heard Melinda as I passed, "Fire the weapon!" they must have said no because the siren shrunk back and asked please rather piteously. Jessica grabbed the headset.
"Look! The Queen is in danger so push the damn button before I climb that tower and push it with your face!" she snarled. I heard a loud whirr (as I really hadn't slowed) and glanced to the sky. I didn't pause to wonder until a sudden shrill whistle dropped me to my knees.
I noticed the others who's magic was based of darkness dropped, too. Beings of magic usually are required into two groups of the six elements: water, earth, fire, air, dark, light. Jessica's is dark fire, Melinda's is water air; mine is doubled but only slightly my two main elements are earth, fire but as mother was a mie druid I have a touch of light and as father was a demon I have a touch of darkness.
I bit back the pain and struggled to my feet age in running toward the ambush at the rear of my onslaught where my mate and protectorate fought.
I suddenly noticed a glow under him in a circle. A drough mine.
"No!" I screamed diving and shoving him out of the way at the same time. He crashed a few feet away, safe and unharmed. I sighed in a relief until fear lit his eyes and I realized where I lay. Dead center of the drough mine. With a blinding light it exploded.
BOOOM! She just got exploded.
DeansTrueGirl: Well here is another chapter I hope it doth suffice :D
