Let's see what happened after Lindsey got blown away…
(3rd person POV)
A unison of screams were heard as the fire burst from the mine. Lindsey's form was silhouetted in fire before dissolving into ash.
"No!" Jessica yelled, Dean and a druid holding her back.
Melinda screamed in terror and rage as Sam and a fellow siren held back the red head thrashed.
"Lindsey!" Neal cried desperately, fear and disbelief illuminated on his face from the light of the explosion. "No! Not again!" he cried falling to the ground.
Once the Drough Mine had burned out Neal struggled to where he had last seen his young wife. All that remained were ashes.
The field had taken on a silence as all watched the sacrifice of the halfling queen for the one she loved. Suddenly a shrill laughter broke out.
Everyone turned to the laughing Mirta, "Your Queen is dead mie! Hail your new Queen!" she cackled. Suddenly a golden arrow nicked her cheek.
"Avenge our sister, Valkyries!" cried a strong feminine voice.
"Frigga," breathed Isla. Neal glanced up with the rest as the drough resumed fighting the mie.
Suddenly Castiel was by Isla's side helping the poor con to his feet. "The Crown Jewels of your people have not appeared since Lindsey's demise." Neal stumbled and choked back tears.
"Way to be sensitive, Cas," Dean muttered.
"Um… Isla can you subtly call the mie back. My people and I want to try a combined Siren cry."
Isla's eyes, still brimming with tears, lit in as a plan formed.
The Archdruid summoned a pedestal similar to Mirta's. "Queen, eh? If ye are indeed Queen Call up the Crown Jewels! They respond to their intended! Bound or no!" the mie and Valkyries slipped behind the advancing sirens, Melinda leading the way.
Archers had bows strung; those with guns had them cocked and ready to fire should the need arise. The drough watched Mirta expectantly. She gave a smile and raised her hands but nothing happened.
The drough looked at one another and the sirens suddenly belted out a single note in an echoing wave.
Neal just watched. A hand lighted on his shoulder he turned to see a young Lorespinner girl and Bobby with his thumb in a book.
"We can bring the drough back to mie."
"How?" demanded Jessica suddenly there.
Bobby looked at the mine, "Technically she already did. The spell's still taking effect," he said. "And Lindsey's the only one who could. 'A girl with no home, turned Queen of a great throne. Give her life for the one she loves to return the Holy Light from above'." Jessica and Dean glanced at each other.
"So where's the light?" Sam asked turning to Cas.
"She isn't fully druid or even human. She must face the trial.

(Lindsey's POV)
Interesting fact, Druid mines burn more intensely than dragon's fire and only slightly less than the fire pits of Hell. I remember seeing Neal's scared face. I remember screaming… then blacking out. I woke on a desolate plain with only bare ground below and dark sky above. But I heard voices.
"She completed the spell," one muttered.
"But she is half demon," muttered another.
"And what girl is more homeless than a halfling?" I flinched as this was said. I always flinched when someone called me a halfling…mainly because it was usually accompanied by a physical strike.
"She is awake." I saw nothing but felt warm auras surround me.
"Who are you and where am I?" I asked.
"Queen Lindsey, you are in Athera. The place where the Angels confer. I am the Archangel Aristel and this is my sister Archangel Byrel. We are the angels of decisions."
"I am honored."
"We are locked in conference over whether you have successfully cured the Drough or not. Our conflict being, your demon heritage."
"I gathered."
"What say have you?"
"I have always tried to be faithful to, My Lord. I gave my life to save my protectorate and now I leave it in God's hands."
"If that doesn't earn the girl the points she needs I don't know what will," came a familiar voice.
"Gabe?"
"Brother Gabriel, what business have you here?"
"Well, I was going to help this little prankster in her battle when I heard she had died. I just figured she ended up here."
"How is my protectorate?" I asked desperate for information.
"Physically safe. Emotionally a wreck. You know he lost his first true love that way, too, right? Well, it was a plane explosion but still…"
My eyes widened, "Oh no… mi amore…" Byrel and Aristel glanced at each other.
"A decision has been made."

(3rd POV)
Jessica snarled as lightning danced around her from turning her glamour to her natural nyx form. With a hiss she grabbed her special made druid magic enhanced gun and shot to the skies alongside the Valkyries.
Melinda leaped onto Hephestus's back, teeth bared and flute in hand, sonic scream at the ready, as the fire bird joined the Valkyries ranks.
Dean and Sam charged with the other druids despite Bobby and Castiel's protests to wait and see if the spell worked. Neal was atop Astral as they too joined in the fray.
All were headed right toward Mirta who was baffled she couldn't summon the Crown Jewels.
All five had a deeper bloodlust in their eyes than the angry bloodlust of their fellows but Neal acutally tasted blood, not his, though he wouldn't know it if he was he was so angry at this point, but he knew he had to avenge her.
She had looked so relieved when she saw he was safe… just before she realized where she was and that split second of a terror washed over her face.
"There is activity below!" called a Valkyrie. Neal glanced down. Sure enough little by little drough were returning to mie and joining their armies.
"She's done it," Isla on Draka breathed her cheeks tearstained. The archdruid glanced at Neal. "She freed them."
Warmth filled his heart at the thought. Despite what others believed and what she, herself, thought, Neal knew Lindsey. He knew she was good. That she was kind and pure and worthy of every good thing that could happen to her. But as a half-demon only bad followed her and as he swore himself to her it followed him too and it had cost him her.
"Get me near, Mirta," he said to the great dragon, knowing, while it couldn't communicate with him, that Neal could communicate with the dragon. Astral flew higher before diving at the witch.
Neal drew his guns and fired. Mirta moved so it only grazed her arm and, realizing she had lost this battle, fled.
Neal cursed and went back to the center of the field where Isla and the druids gathered around the mine once more.
"Would ye say a few words for her?" Isla asked. Neal bowed his head and started to speak. But no sooner had he started than a guffaw broke the solemn moment. Everyone moved aside to reveal a familiar figure.
"Brother," Castiel said flatly.
"Jeez, the way you are acting you'd think she'd died," Gabriel laughed.
"What are ye speaking of?" Isla asked when Neal saw a familiar form in the archangel's arms. He didn't speak and didn't know he was moving until she was in his arms.
"Lindsey…" he breathed. Everyone let out a delighted gasp and Jessica fell into Dean's arms crying happy tears.
"She'll be out a couple of days but she should be fine," Gabe said before disappearing. Neal started crying holding her closer.
"Thank God," he sobbed burying his face in Lindsey's neck. "Thank God." All the druids bowed their heads at the solemnity of the scene. The clan knelt beside them, Isla stood back.
"Amen," she whispered.
Well we have the extremely short Epilogue and this one is finished as well. :D
