Episode 10: Hunter

Scene 1

The gold rank Hunters and about fifty other Hunters of various ranks were standing at the docks watching the freighter burn. Under the instruction of Mrs. Lindinstine all the Hunters converged on the ship and together they wiped out the remaining Lycan and feral Vampire threat. Everyone standing on the docks was weary and dirty from battle except the gold rank Hunters. They were however covered in various coats of blood. The leader Sorbo was wringing out his short cape trying to get most of the blood out. The other gold rank Hunters were silent and Cinda was not even looking at the fire like everyone else, she was standing with her back facing the fire and her eyes closed as if meditating on something important. Sorbo was upset at the fact that the boat caught fire, it meant they wouldn't get credit for their kills. No one else seemed to sympathize with him though, even the members of his team.

Lady was standing next to the Rookie who was sitting on a protruding support column. He had his leg in a jury rigged splint that he made himself out of the available materials. "We should go back and collect the remaining injured." -Rookie. "You should be on your way to a medical unit Rook." -Lady. "Oh god is that my new nickname?!" -Rookie. "Yea today you leveled up." -Lady. He stood himself up on his wobbly feet. Lady tried to help but he didn't accept her help, he was after all a silver rank Hunter. Injury, pain and death were all part of the job. As the two started to leave the docks the other Hunters began following them. All except the gold rank Hunters who just loitered at the docks.

From the distance they were at from the sea they couldn't see the first freighter still out at sea. As the smoke and fire from the ship filled the air the Hunters went into all the buildings to help anyone who may have been injured or traumatized. The collection of bodies was the worst part. People had to see their loved ones being dragged out of apartments or unburied from under piles of debris. Kids were separated from parents and some of them would never be able to find their relatives because they were killed. Survivors finally got the bravery to leave their closets when the Hunters came in to assist them. Many were in shock, some had died from fear or anticipation. The bodies just kept piling up. Pets were found hiding under cars or far down the streets running from the dangers. Rook and Lady were coordinating the relief effort when the Commander's body was found. He was exactly where Jayce had left him. A hole blasted through his head.

Rook and Lady stopped in the doorway and couldn't go in further. The Commander had been their instructor for most of their years as Hunters. He had an eye for talent and had picked each of the silver rank Hunters himself. When they finally got the courage to go in Lady had tears in her eyes and Rook knelt down next to their mentor. Rook turned on his UV flashlight and noticed the dried blood on the Commander's clothes. He put his under the material and felt the wound. He pulled his hand out and looked up to Lady. "He was bitten." -Rook. Lady turned away and walked over to the purchase counter of the small liquor store. She put her head down on the counter top. Rook stood up and pointed his finger at the Commander's head. Judging from the trajectory of the bullet and the angle of entry and exit he could tell the person who fired was standing right in front of him.

There was only one Hunter that Rook knew of that would fire directly into the forehead of a bitten Hunter. "It was Jayce." -Rook. Lady picked her head up off the counter and looked back at the scene. She nodded her head in agreement. "Jayce would have wanted to look him in the eyes. He was like a father to him." -Lady. "He was like a father to all of us. At least he didn't turn." -Rook. Lady cleaned her face with her sleeve. "Okay, lets get the him out of here." -Lady. The two took down two shelves and laid them on the floor. They then placed him on the shelves and carried him out of the store like a hero. This man had given more than twenty five years of his life to the Vampire/Lycan effort. He was one of the original purgers and came back as a leader in the second purge. When the Hunter Branch was set up he was an obvious choice to be one of the first Hunters. After years of service in other cities he was transported to Krystal City after the building of the walls. Here he finished out the Frontier Days as one of the great Hunters. When it became obvious that Jayce was ready to take over the leadership position of the silver rank team he moved up to the Commander post.

Scene 2

Jayce was running through the hallways of the large freighter. Everything looked the same, every hallway had the same amount of rooms and every passage way was leading him back to the same place. There were a few regular Vampires running the machines in the ship but they posed no real threat. Jayce just walked up to them in the small quarters area and fired at their heads which splattered all over the walls. Jayce didn't know what the machines did but he pushed every lever in to the red zone and different parts of the boat began to run at full throttle. Causing the boat to shake violently at times. Jayce was still running through the hallways when he ran into Selene. The two were glad to see each other but nothing except a quick nod was given from both. "I see your stomach is back together." -Jayce. Selene's stomach had recovered mostly the skin was extremely pale white and still very tender to the touch but it was a vast improvement to being injured severely. "Are those gonna slow you down?" -Jayce. He was asking about the bites all over her body that hadn't yet recovered.

"No they won't slow me down, if anything they'll make me faster." -Selene. There was the sound of crushing bones behind Selene. "Eve's coming, we should split up." -Selene. "But we just got back together." -Jayce. "She needs her space right now, you wouldn't bring out the best in her." -Selene. Jayce opened a door and went into a room, there was a circular window for looking out of the door. He watched Selene as Eve caught up to her and the two ran down the hall the way he had come. As he was about to open the door and leave he saw a fire ax in a glass case. He went up to it and broke the glass. When he left the room he had the ax in his hand and went down the hall the way Selene and Eve had come. He went down a few different hallways until he came to an open area. It was the largest part of the ship. A huge empty space for storage of large items. He could see in the middle the cannons that he had shot off the top of the boat. The place seemed empty, but Jayce still walked into it with caution.

As Jayce looked at the crates in the ship he recognized the label on the wooden crates. He used the ax to pop open the crate and what he saw was a surprise to him. It was the wine that the owner of the restaurant, The Wandering Ronin was brewing. Jayce pulled out a bottle and cracked the top off. He sniffed the inside of the bottle and right away he could tell what it was. There was about one third blood in the bottles. While he was looking at the other bottles Jayce felt a cold air enter the area. He slowly turned around and standing behind him was Queen Calypsa. "Hunters, so suspicious of everything and everyone. The only thing that sways you guys is cold hard cash, but every now and then an idealist comes around like you and refuses every offer." -Calypsa. Jayce lifted the ax up to his shoulder and walked away from the crate but circled the queen. "I only remember one offer, the one from Darwin Blaine." -Jayce. "Oh you must remember the others, they came from your very own Patron, oh what was her name again … Lindin-something." -Calypsa.

Jayce swung the ax downwards at Queen Calypsa. The queen grabbed the ax with her bare hand and pulled Jayce close. She rubbed her steel blade against his cheek. "If you were a Vampire you would be so beautiful. These scars make you look so old." -Calypsa. Jayce lifted his feet up and kicked Calypsa but he mostly just pushed himself backwards she hardly budged at all. When he hit the floor Calypsa poked Jayce in the chest with the back end of her naginata. She just barely tapped his steel plate but the quickness of her attack was comparable to the speed of Selene. "You're dead." -Calypsa. Jayce swung the ax at her three more times. She easily dodged the attacks and she slapped Jayce in the face with the side of her steel blade. "You're dead again." -Calypsa. Jayce swung at her again but this time added some kicks into the mix. Calypsa used her feet to deflect Jayce's kicks and she used the back end of her naginata to divert the ax. She then grabbed Jayce's wrist and threw him over her hip and he fell on the floor on his back. She placed the blade of her weapon on the steel plate. "You're dead again." -Calypsa.

Jayce smacked the blade off his chest plate and swept his feet passed Calypsa's to knock her down, but she jumped in the air and landed on the opposite side of Jayce. She grabbed his collar and lifted him off the floor. Jayce kneed her in the stomach. The queen paused for a moment and then she calmly said "Ow." -Calypsa. She then returned the favor and kneed Jayce in the stomach. His steel plate armor cracked when her knee hit it with such impact that Jayce felt the impact all the way through to his spine. She dropped him back on the floor. A few pieces of the steel plate had shattered off. Jayce began crawling away while clutching his cracked armor. Calypsa calmly walked around Jayce like he was no threat. "All you Hunters are the same. You deny the obvious, it is right in front of you. Vampirism is the future of the world and humans are the cattle of the future!" -Calypsa. Jayce grabbed hold of a crate and used it to help him get to his feet.

The queen kicked Jayce at the hip and he smashed through the wooden crate breaking many of the wine bottles inside. "Hunters never join our ranks, they are too stuck in their beliefs." -Calypsa. Walked around a crate to get to Jayce's face. But Jayce was not the kind of opponent to take your eye's off of. Jayce took hold of a glass bottle and when the queen turned the corner he smashed it on her head. Calypsa was more shocked than injured as the thick red liquid poured down her hair and face she just stood their wide eyed. Using the broken bottle as a weapon Jayce stabbed it into one of the gaps in her armor near her stomach. Then he pulled out both of his guns. The queen reacted and grabbed his revolvers she snapped the steel guns into four pieces and Jayce stood dumbfounded as the loose bullets fell from the wheel of the guns. "I liked those guns." -Jayce. Calypsa was about to open her mouth to say something but Jayce punched her across the face. He then followed up by kicking the bottle deeper into her body and he stepped up onto a wooden box, jumped and dropped the steel of his elbow spike down on the top of Calypsa's head.

The queen stumbled around holding the top of her head. Jayce grabbed his UV flashlight from his gear and turned it on. As the queen stumbled around she swung her weapon to keep Jayce from getting to close, but she couldn't see where he was. Jayce stepped up onto a stack of wooden boxes and pushed the stack over so that the boxes would fall on the queen. He then jumped down and while she was getting out from under the wooden debris he took hold of a metal tool carrier. He ran up to her and smacked her in the face with the metal object one way and then the other when she retaliated with her naginata Jayce used the back end of the metal tool carrier to stop her blade. Then he shoved the flashlight into the queens mouth. Her throat began to boil and she let go of her weapon to pull the flash light out of her throat. But Jayce jumped up and used spinning kick to cause the flashlight to go deeper into her throat and she struggled to pull it out because it was also burning her. This wouldn't hold her attention for long. Jayce took off running back into the hallways he had come from. Without his guns he would be unable to kill her.

Scene 3

Selene and Eve came to the engine room in the ship it was loud and hot in this area. As Eve checked the different hallways Selene looked at the large engine and mechanical pieces. "I think this might lead out." -Eve. Selene was busy trying to figure out how the engine worked. "What are you doing? Lets go." -Eve. "You grab that side!" -Selene. Selene jumped up onto a metal landing that was near one of five giant pistons on this side. "Your wasting time." -Eve. "If we break the engine they can't leave." -Selene. "Then I get to kill them here and now? Okay." -Eve. Eve jumped up to the parallel side of the engine and she copied her mother. The two took hold of the large pistons by wrapping their arms around it. "One, Two -" -Selene. Selene's countdown was cut short when the freakish Raynon dropped down right next to her and hit her across the engine room with a massive steel column. Selene flew through multiple metal pipes and then broke through the wall and landed inside the hallway unconscious.

Eve let go of the giant piston and jumped up onto the engine to get closer to Raynon. "Ugh, what happened to you?" -Eve. "Take a good look because this is the ultimate strength a Lycan can achieve. Made from the blood of your own father when the Hunters squeezed him dry like a raisin." -Raynon. Eve yelled and transformed into her Hybrid form. She jumped from the engine to Raynon. He grabbed her throat in mid jump and slammed her down into the metal landing which broke off, they fell onto a bunch of thick metal pipes but Raynon slammed Eve down again through the metal pipes and they feel to the floor. Raynon still had his hand on Eve's throat and he was pressing her down on the floor. The floor was cracking under the weight. "Do you think we care if the ship stops working?! Do you think that we are scared now that our army is mostly dead?! Well we don't! The queen and I could kill everyone in Krystal City by ourselves! I kill could anyone by myself! You and your father are nothing more than an ingredient used in a formula to make Vampires and Lycan's even more superior." -Raynon. Eve lifted up her legs and wrapped them around Raynon's arm. She bent his arm at the elbow using her legs and pulled his hand off her throat.

Eve then jumped up and waited for Raynon. He was moving sluggishly to mock her, slowly he turned his half human half Lycan head to face her. He took a sumo wrestler like stance and motioned for Eve to come at him. Eve was angry at his mockery of her, he wasn't taking her seriously at all, she wanted to make him pay. Eve ran straight at him and she slammed into his stomach and tried to push him back. At first he didn't budge, but as Eve yelled and used every ounce of her power she felt the floor give way underneath him and Raynon began to leave long holes in the floor as she pushed him back. Raynon, who was not even trying to push back, let a smile spread across his now hideous face. All at once one of his arms grew to a massive size. It was only the beginning of his transformation. Raynon roared as his body began to grow to new heights and size. Eve was soon dangling in the air as she held onto Raynon's midsection. The ultimate Lycan form was barely small enough to fit in the Engine room. He looked like something out of a Japanese monster movie.

Eve was grabbed by the Lycan's massive hand. From the top pointer finger to the pinky finger the Lycan's hand size almost perfectly equaled Eve's entire upper body length. The Lycan lifted Eve up to it's face. He must have been around thirty five too forty feet tall. Then the giant beast roared in her face. There was so much force behind his roar that the entire boat began to shake and vibrate with his monstrous voice. He lowered eve all the way to the floor and then as she struggled to break free he lifted her all the way back up and threw her straight up at the upper floors of the boat. Eve slammed through seven floors of wood and metal until she reached the top of the boat and broke through the surface. She kept flying up until she reached the height of the boat tower then she began falling down. The giant Lycan had crashed his own way through the boat and breached on the surface in time to grab her out of the air as she feel. Eve was covered in blood and all sorts of dirty from wood debris to nasty pipe sludge and metal shards. "Here you stay right here!" -Raynon. Raynon slammed Eve's body halfway into a stack of metal crates trapping her in her drowsy state. "Watch this!" -Raynon.

The ultimate Lycan began to grab the feral Vampires off the boat and bite them into pieces. They tried to attack him but he could swat them away like a human could stop a bunny. When they did manage to bite him it had no effect. His healing was far too quick for any substantial damage to be done. Eve began wiggling her way out of the metal crate as Raynon was toying around with the feral Vampires. The metal scraps in her body began to fall out as her body healed. Once she was out Eve ripped off a piece of the metal and she used her strength to wrap it around her fist and forearm like it was material. She punched her metal wrapped fist into her normal hand and jumped to the next metal crate. She kept jumping from crate to crate until she was right behind the ultimate Lycan. It was lifting a metal crate to pull a feral Vampire out from underneath. Eve jumped off the metal crate with so much strength and force that the metal dented from her jump. She flew towards the air and hit the distracted Lycan on the back of the head with her metal wrapped fist. Raynon took a small tumble and caught himself. He looked up at eve who had landed a ways away and he showed her his nasty long fangs and growled.

As he took his first steps on all fours his claws ripped and shredded the floor underneath him like it was made of paper. Eve took hold of the door of a metal crate that was behind her. With her left hand she swung the heavy metal crate around like a baseball bat and it hit the ultimate Lycan across the face and knocked him over onto his back. As he shook his head to get up, Eve jumped up into the air and landed on the beast's hairy chest and she lifted her wrapped metal fist up into the air and slammed it down into his chest. The impact was so great the floor underneath the ultimate Lycan gave way and cracked open. Raynon fell into the fissure in the freighter but Eve jumped off of him and landed on the boat floor. She looked down into the hole and saw the giant Lycan laying on a pile of debris far below in the cargo area of the ship.

Scene 4

Jayce was thrown about the hallways by the constant rocking and slamming of the fight that was going on above him. This was the time for him to retreat, to live, to come back with more men and a knowledge of the enemy. But Jayce didn't make his way to an exit, instead he ran down the hallways following the trail of dead bodies he was sure Eve had left, because Selene would be with Eve. When Jayce came out in the engine room he saw the gaping hole in the ceiling of the boat leading all the way to the surface of the boat. He scanned the room and saw evidence of a Lycan, but one that would have to be four times bigger than the average Lycan. A spark of electricity turned his attention to the hole in the hallway where Selene had been thrown. Jayce climbed over to it and entered the hole. Inside Selene was laying on a pile of broken debris. Jayce lifted a metal column off of her and slapped her in the face. Selene woke up suddenly and pushed Jayce across the room. He managed to roll to his feet but his stand up was a bit slow due to his weary legs.

Selene threw the rest of the debris off of herself and stood up. "Where is he?!" -Selene. Jayce rubbed his left thigh. "Where is who?" -Jayce. "The Lycan." -Selene. "I don't know, but we have another problem. That lady with the pole sword, she is faster and stronger than I originally anticipated." -Jayce. Jayce reached up and rubbed his left shoulder which had been stabbed with a large piece of cracked wood earlier. Before Selene could respond Jayce was grabbed from behind the neck and thrown across the room. He hit the metal wall and parts of his cracked armor fell off. He tried to stand up but he fell onto his butt with his back against the wall. Eve was standing in the center of the room where Jayce was before. "Get away from my mother! You did this, all of this is on you! You killed my father and they got a hold of his blood!" -Eve. "I didn't kill your father!" -Jayce. Eve picked up a thin pipe and flipped it over to hold it like a throwing javelin. "If it has tiger stripes, it must be a tiger." -Eve. Selene got up and held Eve's arm steady. "Stop this Eve, he wasn't there it's not his fault!" -Selene.

"That's not what I said." -Jayce. Jayce stood up slowly and stayed leaning against the wall. "I was there. I was captain of the group that pushed him towards the trap. We forced him around Europe for weeks until he got to Paris. That's where they were waiting for him. But you know that don't you, because you were there. We saw the others fleeing but we were ordered to stay as reinforcements for the suppression team. That's what happens when you become a threat to all of humanity, all of humanity pulls together to defeat you. The same things going to happen to you." -Jayce. Eve threw Selene off of her arm and then threw the pipe at Jayce. Jayce jumped to the side as the pipes crashed through the side of the boat and continued on smashing through walls until it stopped. Eve yelled at the sky she roared and growled and scratched at her head. Ashe could see the last moments of her father again. Through his own eye's the sadness of watching as your family abandons you. The fear and anticipation of knowing your life is over before it actually is. The pain as the steel whips wrapped around his arms and cut into his wrists as they pulled him from both sides and his body was pulled apart by the machines designed to do just that. Eve was just kneeling on the floor now sobbing. Selene was watching from a distance but she didn't move closer.

Jayce stood up, he and Selene made eye contact but it wasn't like before. Selene's eyes flashed a warning that his time in her good graces was over. Jayce limped his way out of the hole he had come in from. He made his way to the hallway and walked down the hall pressing his arm against the wall to steady his walking. Selene stepped toward Eve but was stopped when she noticed someone standing in the hole where Jayce had just left. Queen Calypsa was standing there looking at the two of them. The queen took a step in and Selene watched her, Eve was still just rolled up in the middle of the room. "You really made Raynon mad." -Calypsa. Eve took her face out of her hands. "That's right, you didn't kill him. In fact, he's actually relatively okay. I thought you were supposed to be some fierce creation that everyone was scared of? You're just a scared girl who lost her daddy and has a terrible mother." -Calypsa.

Selene jumped across the room and kicked Calypsa out of the small room and into the engine room. Selene jumped out after her, but Calypsa was waiting. The queen grabbed Selene's ankle and slammed her into the floor. Then she swung Selene around and threw her at the engine. Selene slammed hard against the durable steel of the large engine. The entire boat shock when she hit it. Selene got to her feet, but the queen hit her with the back end of her naginata and Selene turned the other direction. Calypsa grabbed her by the neck as Selene stumbled to get to her feet. "Try this on girlfriend!" -Calypsa. Calypsa pushed Selene against the engine and then she stabbed her naginata into the floor and jumped towards Selene. She drove her fist straight at Selene's chest and she punched her so hard the entire engine moved about an inch back. The whole boat shook and all the dust on the engine was blasted up into the air. When Calypsa pulled her fist back Selene fell to the floor choking on her own blood. Queen Calypsa rubbed her right bicep. "Pretty impressive, huh? Too bad Viktor never lived to see this." -Calypsa. The queen grabbed Selene from her hair and pulled her away from the engine and then slammed her into it again. Any dust that wasn't thrown off the first time came off this time.

Selene struggled to fight back but the Calypsa dodged her much slower attacks. "You know what I just realized? I have your lover's blood running through my veins. That must be very depressing for you!" -Calypsa. Selene tried to jump kick Calypsa, but the queen moved and grabbed Selene by the waist and spun her around and threw her at a wall of pipes which shattered. Selene ran out with her fist up behind her and threw her own power punch. Calypsa grabbed Selene's fist and the pipes and tools in the area behind Calypsa's hand were blast away by the kinetic energy created by the two objects colliding. Calypsa looked behind her. "Wow that was cool." -Calypsa. Selene took advantage of the temporary distraction and swung her foot at Calypsa. It made contact with the side of her head and the queen flew across the room and tumbled into a pile of debris made from the ultimate Lycan burrowing out of the ship.

Selene took hold of Calypsa's naginata and when she emerged from the debris Selene spun the weapon around over her head and when it built up speed she threw it at Calypsa with a deadly fast spin. As it spun across the room it left a deep carve in the floor and created bright blue sparks. Calypsa stepped forward and took hold of the blade while it was still spinning in the air. She and the weapon spun together until Calypsa pressed her feet against the wall and then standing completely perpendicular to the floor, she spun the weapon around until the energy in it was wasted. Selene was surprised to see that the queen had been completely unharmed. Calypsa readied herself and then she jumped off the wall towards Selene. There was a burst of air when Calypsa jumped from the wall. Selene grabbed hold of a metal pipe. When the queen was right near her Selene used the pipe like a sheath to cover the blade of the weapon and then as Calypsa pushed her back wards with her momentum Selene lifted her right arm high up and karate chopped the pipe and the blade along with it. The two metal objects cracked and the queen kicked Selene away.

Selene caught her footing a ways away while Calypsa looked at her broken weapon. She pulled the broken pipe off of her naginata. Calypsa took her weapon and stabbed it into the floor. "So that's how you wanna play, huh?" -Calypsa. Calypsa lifted her fists up in the air in a fighting stance. Selene did the same but with a different stance. They waited a moment without a single movement and then the two ran at each other. It was more of a brawl then a well planned fight. The two hit each other everywhere, however they could and every time they made contact with each other the engine room was damaged by the excess kinetic energy being created when they punched or kicked each other. When the two finally stopped hitting each other, they locked hands and were testing each others strength. Selene and Calypsa were also locked by their eyes. Both had their bright blue eye's flaring at the other. The boat around them began to creak and pipes and machinery began to break as the two altered the shape of the floor beneath them. Selene's feet began to leave deep impressions in the floor as Calypsa pushed her back. "Maybe when you use every ounce of your energy you can match me, but I am still only just getting started!" -Calypsa.

Scene 5

As Jayce was making his way through the hallways looking for an exit he heard muffled noises. As he got closer he realized it was someone crying out in pain. Jayce hurried down the hallway and found the door that the voices were coming from. He pulled his old revolver out of his belt and held it up to his face then he pushed the door in and lifted his gun facing the people in the room. Much to Jayce's surprise it was Darwin Blaine hanging from a pipe and stabbed with two spikes, one in his stomach the other in his upper chest. The two spikes were connected to a large generator that was sparking with energy. Besides Darwin there were three other men in the room. The three men looked over at Jayce slowly. They opened their mouths and snarled with their fangs showing. With one shot Jayce blew the closest man's eyeball into his brain. The bullet then ripped out the other side of the Vampire's head and splattered across the wall and a bit of brain matter splashed on Darwin.

The other two Vampires rushed at Jayce. As Jayce's thumb pulled the hammer on the gun back one of the Vampire's faces got into the target area. He fired once and then cocked the gun and fired again two bullets flew into the second Vampire's head. The third Vampire reached Jayce but the trained Hunter just stuck his armored forearm into the Vampire's mouth. "How does that taste?" -Jayce. Jayce slammed his forearm against the door post along with the Vampire's face. He did this over and over until the Vampires head was nothing but a bloody mess. He then ripped his arm out of it's mouth and snapped the neck for good measure. Jayce shook his arm and then looked over to Darwin who was still being electrocuted. Jayce walked over to the machine, but the boat suddenly rocked violently. He steadied himself and then turned off the generator. Jayce put his gun in his pocket and pulled both of the spikes out of Darwin. "Oh god that hurt! Why are you here?" -Darwin. "This is how I make my living Mr. Blaine." -Jayce. "It's Darwin and please get me out of these cuffs my legs went numb.

"So you weren't lying when you said she was coming for you huh?" -Jayce. "I have the Hybrid blood, that's what she wants, but now she knows she can just get it from Michael and Selene's daughter, Eve. We can't let her kill Eve, if she does, getting off this boat won't matter, she will be strong enough to take over the world or at least this continent." -Darwin. "Yeah the Hybrid doesn't like me very much so were gonna need to just hope she can handle herself." -Jayce. As Jayce assisted Darwin with walking Darwin stopped and picked up his blood pump from one of the henchman's coat pocket. He clipped it onto his pants and stuck the needle into his hip. A quick gust of red mist ejected from the pump into Darwin's body. It was like being trapped in a desert and then jumping into a cool swimming pool or being locked in a cabin during the winter and taking a sip of hot cocoa. "Hey don't fall asleep on me!" -Jayce. Darwin came to when they were already down the hall. The boat was now constantly shaking violently as if they were sailing through a storm.

Darwin looked over at Jayce as they walked down the hall. "Why are you helping me? I thought you didn't care about money." -Darwin. "In the Hunter's academy they taught us that every Vampire or Lycan would kill you if they got the chance. This thing right here." -Jayce. Jayce pointed to Darwin's blood pump. "This proves that theory wrong." -Jayce. "This one's a prototype." -Darwin. There was a large ripple that passed through the ship. It was as if something large was passing underneath Jayce and Darwin. It was headed to the back side of the ship where the engine room is. "I gotta go. You have to get off the boat by yourself." -Jayce. Darwin nodded in agreement. Jayce grabbed Darwin's face and spoke directly to him. "If we don't make it back, find Selene's coven and make them more of these pumps! They do know better, they are different." -Jayce. Jayce let go of Darwin and started back towards the engine room. "Wait where are you going?! They're going to kill you!" -Darwin. "I guess I'm different too." -Jayce. Jayce continued on and Darwin watched him until the boat shook again and he was reminded to keep going.

Darwin reached the surface by following the path the Vampire's had taken to bring him in. There were no more feral Vampires running around on the ship. There were a few eviscerated corpses though and those told Darwin all he needed to know, 'get off the boat now!'. Darwin made his way to the edge of the freighter where the three boat's stood hooked on at different places. Darwin took the closest one and slid down the rope. He started the boat and drove it away, he looked back at the boat and shook his head. He had bought this very freighter for Queen Calypsa many years before. It was astounding to Darwin how many times he had been betrayed by the very people he was supposed to be working for. All the people who had ever helped him wanted something in return: money, power, information or resources. All Jayce asked for was for him to help improve the lives of Selene's coven. Darwin sat back down in the seat and drove the boat towards the public docks.

Scene 6

Calypsa and Selene were still locked at the arms. Calypsa's eye's began to change color in front of Selene. The once blue iris' were broken and the blue liquid in her eyes reformed into perpendicular lines meeting together at her pupil. The pupils grew large and formed hexagons within. Calypsa's vision changed. She could see Selene's breath and the tiny pours of her skin. Selene felt a change in Calypsa's hands, a pulse of muscle growth. Calypsa tightened her grip on Selene and began crushing her hands. The Queen of Immortals lifted Selene up off the ground and smiled. She kicked Selene in the stomach and Selene flew to the opposite side of the engine room and crashed into the wall. She slumped off of the wall and landed on her side. Calypsa flexed the muscles along her back, then shoulders and last her arms. Her armor snapped off due to the increase in her muscle mass. The queen still had a petite appearance but her muscles were exquisitely defined.

Selene threw her head back to get her hair out of her face. Queen Calypsa was walking towards her. Selene got to her feet and brushed the dirt and dust off of her leather pants. Before Calypsa could reach Selene the ships started to rock and shake. "Oh, he's up!" -Calypsa. The shaking was getting more violent as the large Lycan tore apart the hallways to get to the engine room. "Should I let him finish you? Or should I do it myself and mount your pretty head in my trophy room back home?" -Calypsa. Selene glanced behind Calypsa. The queen noticed and turned around. Standing behind her was Eve. Calypsa could see the blood rushing through Eve's veins, the anger on her face and the change in her body when she transformed to her Hybrid form. "I see your blood, your special blood, so special." -Calypsa. "You want it come get it!" -Eve. Calypsa and Eve rushed at each other as they were about to clash Raynon in his massive Lycan form ripped through the doorway. He was about to snap his jaws shut around the distracted Eve, when Selene jumped on his snout and held his jaws closed. "I'll handle the dog!" -Selene.

Calypsa and Eve clashed in the middle of the engine room. Eve landed a massive uppercut right on the chin of Calypsa which sent her flying up out of the engine room at a slightly different trajectory than the path Eve had taken when Raynon threw her through. Eve was not satisfied with the one punch through. As Calypsa flew backwards and crashed through the floors Eve jumped out of the hole her body made earlier and she hit Calypsa again when she breached the boat at the top level. This time it was a straight punch and Calypsa flew across the ship and knocked over three stacks of metal crates. Eve roared in the direction of where Calypsa landed and jumped over there. The queen burst from the debris while Eve was still in the air and she kneed her in the face. There was a loud crack as Eve's nose broke from the impact of Calypsa's knee. But it she wasn't done. When Eve's body was about to start moving backwards due to the force of Calypsa's attack, Calypsa instead grabbed her by the ankle and threw her downwards into the debris. Calypsa landed on a metal crate and made a dent in it with her landing.

As Selene held Raynon's giant mouth the Lycan furiously began to wiggle his body through the broken doorway until it shattered and his entire body entered the room. Selene was still holding onto his snout so the beast ran at the engine and slammed into it. Selene had jumped off seconds before and only Raynon's face hit the hard metal engine. Selene grabbed a long chain off the floor, she quickly rolled it all together in her left hand and with her right she spun it around rapidly. When Raynon turned to face her he swiped his massive claws at her. Selene jumped over them and like a professional gymnast she fit through the gap between his fingers claws. She then whipped him across the face with the steel chain. A few of his teeth were knocked out but as soon as he turned to face Selene new ones were already coming out of his gums. He swiped a her again this time using a different pattern and Selene jumped up and wrapped the chain around his two wrists. Then using all the strength she could muster she yanked the chain down and made the Lycan lean forward. When he leaned she let go of the chain and tackled his foot with such impact that his bone snapped backwards and he flipped over. The boat shook furiously when he landed, but in mere seconds Selene saw that his leg was snapped back into place by his incredible healing ability.

Looking around for anything to help, Selene grabbed a thick metal pillar and ripped it out of it's weakened position. She was holding it like a large battering ram and when Raynon stood up she lean back and trusted it into his lower stomach. He hit against the side of the boat and nearly flipped the boat over. Selene then jumped up and was about to thrust the pillar into his chest but he swung a massive back fist at her and Selene flew away. She once again crashed into a wall and fell down. Raynon picked himself up off the wall and rotated his shoulders. Then he got on all fours and walked over to Selene. She was still laying on the floor but she was pushing herself away and looking for something to grab and hit him with. With one massive paw he pushed a pile of scrap metal and machinery away from her. Selene got to her feet. "You know you are pretty tough, I guess the rumors are true. That you killed Viktor and Marcus. I see it now, you are a great warrior. This will be my greatest victory ever!" -Raynon. Selene bumped into the wall behind her, she had nowhere left to go.

Raynon opened his large mouth but then stood up in a hurry and roared. He began scratching at his back violently, but he was so big he couldn't reach. When he turned around to try and shake it off Selene saw what it was. Jayce was hanging on the back of the ultimate Lycan with the two Hunter knives stuck into Raynon's back. Jayce was being flung around as the Lycan tried to get him off but Jayce didn't let go. After Selene got over the shock of seeing Jayce hanging on the Lycan she looked for anything to help out with. She grabbed a strange looking machine that was attached to a pipe. She held it from the pipe like a giant hammer. Selene ran up to the distracted Lycan and smacked him in his ankle with the hammer. He fell down to one leg and Selene jumped towards his face to hit him in the snout, but the Lycan had an idea. He jumped straight up at the ceiling and hit Jayce against the ceiling. When Raynon landed Jayce fell on his fluffy back and then slid off. Before Raynon could do anything to Jayce, Selene hit him with the hammer again in the forearm. He turned and started trying to slash her with his claws.

Jayce rubbed the back of his neck and then stood up. He saw Selene dodging the Lycan's attacks and he looked around him for anything he could use. He lifted a large pipe, but he was more interested in the build up that had been left at one end of the pipe. He touched the gooey gray material and recognized it. Jayce took the pipe and other also with the gooey build up and he stood in front of the still burning engine. "Hey big bad wolf! Over here!" -Jayce. Raynon looked at Jayce and then left Selene, he went running towards Jayce. Selene followed the large Lycan with her makeshift hammer that was now nearly broken. Jayce jumped up and slid the pipes into the engine, the side with the gooey material first and the other side still pointing out. "What are you doing idiot?! Move!" -Selene. But Jayce didn't move and the Lycan was already right next to him. "Uh oh." -Jayce.

There were two loud explosions inside the engine and the pipes blasted out of the engine. The two pipes hit Raynon one in each shoulder and stabbed deep into him knocking him back. He jumped up and went further back toward the hallway. Selene leaned against her weapon. "What was that?" -Selene. Jayce rested his hands on his hips. "As a high ranking Hunter it is important for me to know about chemicals that go, Boom!" -Jayce. The Lycan was pulling out one of the flaming hot pipes. "We need a plan what do you have?" -Selene. "Like two UV bullets and one explosive round left." -Jayce. "Well what are you waiting for? Blow him up!" -Selene. "It won't work, he's too big and he will heal from it." -Jayce. The Lycan stood up and ripped the second pipe out of his body. "Distract it! I have one more ace up my sleeve." -Jayce. Selene lifted her hammer over her shoulder and went running towards the Lycan. "It better be good!" -Selene. Jayce knelt down and pulled a spiked knuckle out of his back pocket. He removed his right arm armor pieces and ripped his sleeve off. He then took the poked his skin right under his bicep and cut his skin open. As Selene distracted the Lycan Jayce pushed something under his skin towards the small hole he had made in his skin. Once he got it to the edge of the hole he grabbed it delicately and pulled it out. It had blood on it. It was a small metal tube. Jayce twisted the device and it opened up to reveal a small syringe inside. "The last resort." -Jayce.

Scene 7

Eve was thrown across the top of the freighter and she hit the ledge. As she was getting up, she could see Calypsa jumping from the metal crate stack. Eve grabbed the ledge and used it to help her up. She looked over the ledge and saw five small boats headed this way. At first she didn't recognize who was on the boats but once she was able to tell who they were Eve smiled. She turned around to face Calypsa who was waiting for her perched on top of a metal pole like a cat. "You see that?" -Eve. Calypsa looked to the boats approaching her ship. "I do." -Calypsa. "That is the future right there, not you!" -Eve. Calypsa jumped at eve and grabbed her by the throat. "I am the future! And I will prove it by killing everyone left in this city with my own hands!" -Calypsa. "You can't even kill me." -Eve. Calypsa lifted Eve up by her throat and slammed her down onto the ledge of the boat causing the ledge to break and the boat to lean over. Eve lifted up her legs and kicked Calypsa away from her. The queen smashed into a metal crate. Eve got off the ledge and stretched out her back. "I'm still here!" -Eve. Faster than eve could even react Calypsa shot out of the metal crate and slammed her hand right into Eve's chest. Calypsa's fingers burst out of Eve's back.

Eve looked down at the arm that was going into her body. Then she looked back up at Calypsa completely stunned. The queen pulled her arm out of Eve's chest and Eve fell to her knees. "Your future ends here. But don't worry your legacy will live on as we juice you dry and make a stronger formula than the one we made from your father." -Calypsa. Eve grabbed hold of Calypsa's arm. "You really have no idea who you're fucking with do you?" -Eve. The boats reached the side of the freighter and Eve's Vampire fighters jumped up onto the boat. They looked eager to fight, but before they could step closer to Calypsa, Eve shouted at them. "Stay back!" -Eve. Eve stood up while still holding Calypsa by the wrist. Calypsa could see that Eve had already healed substantially from the wound in her chest.

Calypsa swung her fist at Eve, Eve pulled Calypsa's other arm forward to knock her off balance and then Eve flipped the queen up onto her shoulders. Eve then swung her from over head and slammed the queen down on her knee so hard that the floor cracked underneath Eve's foot, where all the weight had transferred to. Calypsa fell off of eve's knee and was bent out of shape by the back breaking maneuver. She could feel that her spine was not correctly aligned anymore. She crawled a few feet away before Eve lifted her up to her knees by her hair. In front of all her subordinates Eve stood tall holding the queen's hair in her hand. "To any of you who have doubted me! And for those of you who know the truth, I want you all to witness." -Eve. Eve put her claws under the chin of the queen and with one quick motion she ripped Queen Calypsa's head clear off of her body. Eve held the queen's head from her hair as her body fell limp to the floor. The queen's eyes were still in the state of her advanced Vampirism. Eve held the queens head up to the moon and roared. The Vampires around her screamed and yelled with her.

There was no doubt now, no questioning Eve's sovereignty. No secrets to be kept from her, no lies to be told to her. Eve carried the head to the edge of the ship and as her Vampires jumped into their boats Eve looked back to the end of the ship where she knew her mother still was. "There is no room for you in the future." -Eve. She then dropped down into one of the small boats. She put the queen's decapitated head on a chair and then ripped a large hole in the side of the ship so it would take on water. Eve then sat down next to the head and waited for the boat to start. As it sailed further from the freighter the driver turned around. It was Darwin. "I would say you owe me one!" -Darwin. "I thought you were working with my mother?!" -Eve. "I work with who ever offers better benefits!" -Darwin. The boat sped along on the water as the night wind left a chill on everything it touched, except Eve's glare which was colder than the deepest canyons of the oceans. "Besides you are the queen now so you will need some help taking care of business!" -Darwin. "No I'm not the queen. I'm the king, King Eve!" -Eve. Darwin laughed and looked back at the water in front of him. "You can't be a king you have to be a man for that!" -Darwin. "According to who?!" -Eve. "According to everyone!" -Darwin. "When everyone is chained up I will ask them then if they still think I cannot be king. Then we will see if they decide to change the logic they live by in order to keep living!" -Eve. Eve laughed to herself while thinking about how she would change the entire belief system of the world.

Scene 8

Selene dodged the claws of the ultimate Lycan and hit it on the foot with the hammer. The Lycan quickly bit down on the hammer and pulled it out of Selene's hands smashing it against the wall. Jayce was behind the Lycan and he had the syringe in his hand. While Selene was jumping away from the Lycan's claws he ran up a fallen bunch of pipes that was still half connected to some metal landing up top. When Jayce reached the end her jumped off of the pipe bunch and grabbed onto the Lycan's back again. He put the syringe in his mouth sideways and grabbed a handful of fur and climbed up high on the Lycan. He reached his knives that were still stuck inside the Lycan. He took them out and left both in one hand. He stabbed the Lycan to climb higher. Raynon now took notice of him and started trying to shake him off of his back. Jayce cut a hole in the large Lycan and could see the flesh beginning to heal very fast. He took the syringe and stuck it inside the wound he made and ejected the small amount of liquid. Raynon then succeeded in knocked Jayce off by accidentally hooking a claw on Jayce's shoelace.

Jayce hit the floor right underneath Raynon, but the Lycan didn't seem interested in finishing him. Instead the oversized beast grabbed his head and roared at the walls. Selene jumped over to Jayce and helped him up. "What did you do?" -Selene. "Last resort. It was made using the blood of the original Hybrid." -Jayce. Selene glared at him. "It stops the transformation process and drastically reduces healing speed. Lets see if it works and steroid Lycan over here." -Jayce. The two watched as the Lycan screamed in pain and frantically slammed against the walls. He did this until his body began to shrink back down to the nasty deformed half man half Lycan Calypsa had turned Raynon into. "Okay lets take him." -Jayce. "Slow down. He's still very powerful and now he's probably very angry." -Selene. Raynon looked over at the two of them and then he roar and started leaping across the floor towards them. Jayce fixed his spiked knuckles onto his hands. "You get him high, I'll go low." -Jayce. "Are you crazy sit this one out. What are you going to do? Punch him." -Selene. When Raynon was about to be upon them Jayce dove low and Selene jumped to kick the Lycan in the snout. The spikes on Jayce's knuckles sheered the skin and muscle from the shin of the Lycan. Selene landed her kick right on the side of Raynon's half snout and he wobbled over and fell. He was unable to put weight on his left leg due to the damage done.

Jayce dusted off his leg guards and walked towards Selene. "Yeah I punch and I'm pretty good at it too." -Jayce. Raynon stood up and grabbed Jayce, with both hands. He was about to snap his jaws shut around Jayce's head but Selene grabbed the upper and lower jaws and she held them open. Jayce could smell a terrible odor as he struggled to get his head out of the mouth of the Lycan that was hugging him tightly. Selene couldn't force his mouth open, so Jayce wiggled a himself out of the jaws of impending doom by fitting into the elbow joint of the Lycan's left arm. Just like that Jayce fell to the floor and Selene wrestled the half Lycan to the ground. She was still holding him by the mouth but Raynon was shaking her around on the floor violently. Jayce Jumped on the ragged beast and started punching his back where the lungs are. Jayce left big bleeding holes every time he punched him and they weren't healing closed.

Raynon mustered up all his strength and threw Selene from his shout with a violent movement of his head. Selene flew off and hit a metal barrel. Raynon rolled over on top of Jayce and stood up. Jayce gripped the patches of hair to stay on the half Lycan's back. Raynon began bucking like an angry bull on all fours and after about eight seconds Jayce flew off of his back. Jayce landed on top of a metal landing that held stable until he lifted his body up and then the metal snapped off and he fell down. Jayce grabbed hold of the metal landing that broke off and he used it like a shield when Raynon tried to bite him as he fell out of the air. Then Selene ran at Raynon and tackled him, she ran with him over her shoulder until she crashed him into a metal pillar that was still standing. The impacted knocked it down and then Selene spun around Raynon's body and German suplex him onto the floor of the boat. Selene rolled away from him and stood up. Jayce jumped off of a pipe fixture and slammed his fist into the side of Raynon's face leaving three big holes in his face.

Raynon rolled to his feet and grabbed his bleeding face. All three of them were now moving much slower than when they started this fight. Time after time Raynon swiped at them but Selene and Jayce would use teamwork to land a solid hit on the half Lycan every time. When Raynon barely had enough strength left to swing his arms Jayce ran under his big arms and punched him once in his lowest rib, then again in the second rib and a third time in the third rib. Instead of grabbing or slashing Jayce, Raynon stepped backwards and away. He leaned forward and grabbed hold of his ribs which had been punctured multiple times. "You forgot didn't you? How it feels to be human, to get tired and to have lasting pain." -Jayce. Jayce punched the half Lycan in the face and Raynon tried to counter, but Jayce grabbed hold of his large arm and punched right into his bicep about five times really fast. Raynon lunged forwards to get Jayce off of him. His arm was curled up now and he could hardly move it without pain. Selene was not going to let up though, she picked up where Jayce left off and punched him in the back of his rib cage.

As Jayce was about to lend a hand Raynon lifted his left foot and kicked backwards like a horse. He kicked Jayce right in the center of his chest and sent him flying all the way back to the engine. Jayce hit the metal and fell down to the floor. When Selene saw what happened she grabbed hold of Raynon's right wrist and put one foot on his shoulder and the other on his ribs and she pulled as hard as she could until she felt his arm pop out of it's socket. Raynon pulled away in pain and Selene slowly ran toward Jayce. She was exhausted too, thirsty and tired. She had expended so much energy she finally reached him and she slumped down on the floor next to him. She pulled his head up onto her lap and slapped him in the face. "Hey wake up." -Selene. She slapped him harder, Jayce didn't respond. All the metal plates on his chest armor were broken or cracked. Raynon was walking slowly towards Selene and Jayce. Selene looked down at Jayce, he looked so very tasty. Still had blood running through his veins. She leaned down and touched her fangs against the skin of his neck. The moment her cold fangs touched his vein Jayce woke and and pushed her off of himself.

Jayce frantically felt his neck for any blood or punctures. There were none. "Are you crazy?" -Jayce. Selene pointed over at Raynon who was getting closer. "We have to finish this." -Selene. Jayce looked around and then back at the engine. "I got another idea." -Jayce. They didn't move from in front of the engine, instead they stood up and whispered things to each other. "Are you mocking me?!" -Raynon. Raynon ran at them and when he got close enough Selene grabbed hold of him by the waist and spun him around so he was with his back to the engine. Jayce Then grabbed his left arm since it was his only strong one and Selene began punching his chest repeatedly. Every time his back hit the engine with a loud thud. When he shook Jayce off of his arm and hit Selene Jayce then punched him numerous times leaving holes in his chest and stomach. When he swatted at Jayce and Jayce backed away, Selene came back in and punched him over and over until his swipes were nothing but his arms swaying every time either one hit him.

When they stopped hitting him Raynon fell to the floor with his back facing the engine still. Jayce grabbed his nasty head and punched him in the face until the spikes on his knuckles were ripping pieces of his bones out and sending them flying towards Selene. "Stop it he's dead!" -Selene. "Are you sure?" -Jayce. The side of his face that Jayce was punching was completely smashed in and pieces of his brain were leaking out. Selene nodded. It wasn't until now that they realized they were ankle deep in water and it was rising. "Lets get out of here." -Selene. "My leg is stuck, I can't bend my knee back." -Jayce. Selene sighed and grabbed Jayce by the back of his collar. "No, no, not jumping!" -Jayce. Selene jumped up through the hole that Eve's body had made earlier. She was holding Jayce by the collar so she had to jumped off of three different floors to make it out of the hole on the top. When she dropped Jayce on the top level he was in no mood to talk. He went his own way to look for a boat.

Selene walked all around the boat but didn't find anything left, all the boats were gone. She found Jayce standing against the ledge as the boat continued to sink. Selene came over and leaned against the railing. "There's no boats." -Selene. "I know." -Jayce. "Do you have a phone?" -Jayce. Selene pulled a few shattered piece of her old cellphone out of her pocket. "Not anymore." -Selene. "I can't swim that far." -Jayce. "I know." -Selene. "Maybe you can knock me out so I don't know you're pulling me." -Jayce. Selene punched Jayce right in the face. He leaned back and grabbed his face he started bleeding again from his mouth. "Why did you do that?" -Jayce. "I think I might of held back too much." -Selene. She lifted her fist to try again. "No, no, from behind!" -Jayce. Jayce turned around and waited, but Selene didn't do anything. "What are you doing?!" -Jayce. He turned to yell at her but as soon as he turned Selene punched him across the face and knocked him out. She then threw him over the side and jumped into the water as the engine for the freighter exploded causing the ship to sink faster. She emerged from the water and dragged the knocked out Jayce towards the beach which was still miles out.

Scene 9

Jayce sat in the office of Mrs. Lindinstine, he was staring at her intently after what the queen had said. Jayce was still soaking wet, his armor was broken and he was cut, bleeding and his entire body hurt. Mrs. Lindinstine was looking at him from her desk. She stood up, but then she sat back down again. "What is it you want to tell me?" -Mrs. Lindinstine. "What do you know about this attack?" -Jayce. "I don't know anything about it." -Mrs. Lindinstine. "Really, then why did the architect of this attack mention you by name. They said you were involved, under their finger even." -Jayce. "I don't know how she would know my name, but I've been a Hunter for a long time too, I have many enemies out there just like you." -Mrs. Lindinstine. Jayce walked over to her desk and put his hands down on it. "I didn't say there was a she." -Jayce. Suddenly the air in the room changed. Mrs. Lindinstine did not seem as generous as she was making herself out to be. When she spoke it was with greater authority. "Hunter Jayce Argeris, do you know what you are going to do tomorrow?" -Mrs. Lindinstine. "No I don't even know what I'm going to do tonight." -Jayce. "Tomorrow you are going to come in to work like you do every other day. You're going to to help the clean up crew and help the evacuees. You are going to sit at your desk and write up the entire report on this and I will be here when you're done." -Mrs. Lindinstine. She stood up out of her desk. "Now get out of my office." -Mrs. Lindinstine. Jayce walked to the exit. "Some things are over your head Hunter Argeris." -Mrs. Lindinstine. Jayce left with saying another word.

Jayce went down to the lower levels to order new equipment and get some supplies that no Hunter should be without, like a phone. Jayce's pocketed a second phone as he was distracting the workers. He went into the back freezer and shoved a few blood packs into a Hunter bag. He was walking towards the exit when a Hunter stopped him. "There's a call for you upstairs Hunter Argeris." -Hunter. Jayce nodded as he clutched the bag and he went upstairs to the front desk where an attendant was holding his call. "Who is it?" -Jayce. "It's Carmella Yorkshire." -Selene. "What do you want? And how did you make this call?" -Jayce. "The empty house next door has a phone still. I need you to hurry up." -Selene. "Yeah there I go." -Jayce. At that moment the Hunters walked in the body of the Commander. He like most Hunters was set up for cremation after death. "Actually I have to make a quick stop first." -Jayce.

The borrowed Hunter car Jayce was driving parked in front of the farm Jayce had grown up on. He got out of the car and walked to the door. He stood off o the side when he knocked on the door so he didn't get shot by his father. There was no answer. "Hey old man are you in there?!" -Jayce. Jayce kicked the front door open and he was hit with a strong odor of decay. He stepped inside and didn't have to look far to see why. Sitting right at the kitchen table was Jayce's father. His face was decayed as the rats fed off of him from all parts of his body. Jayce moved closer so he could see from a different angle. He saw the shotgun leaning against the table. He lifted it up and cracked it open. Both shots were still inside the gun. There was no sign of foul play or any wounds. Jayce called the coroner and he sat on the porch and waited for them to arrive. A man with no friends and an estranged child, there was no one to notice that he was dead. The coroners arrived and asked him questions as was protocol. He answered and in only a few minutes it was all over his dads decaying body was taken and he was sitting in the car.

When Jayce arrived at his apartments he parked the car in his space and walked to the elevator. The kids that dress and act like Vampires were actually out right now. Jayce tried not to limp so bad but he was in a lot of pain. "Hey man the handicap parking spots are over there!" -Group leader. Jayce ignored them and kept walking he didn't even notice when the rolled up paper ball hit his shoulder. When the elevator finally arrived at the top floor he could still hear the music from the night club down below. They were having a celebration because the city didn't get taken over. He pushed his door open and stepped in. Selene was laying on his bed, she sat up when he got in. "Are you hungry?" -Jayce. Jayce threw the bag onto his broken counter top and took out one blood bag. He threw the bag to Selene she was about to open it when Jayce spoke. "My father's dead and the man who raised me is dead too." -Jayce. "Your father died?" -Selene. She put the blood bag on the bed and stood up.

"How did he die?" -Selene. "You know that's just it. He just died, no murder, no suicide, no Vampire, no Lycan and no Hunter! He just fucking died! And I get shot, stabbed, blown up and beaten by fucking monsters and I'm still here!" -Jayce. Jayce sat down on the floor and cried into his hands. "I shot my mentor, he was like a father to me and then my father goes and dies too. For no stupid reason other then to get away from me!" -Jayce. He stood up and started punching and kicking the counter. Selene came up behind him and held him, first to stop him then to comfort him. "Everybody I know dies. Why not me?" -Jayce. "I know why." -Selene. She whispered into his ears. Selene grabbed him and turned him around to face her. "It's because you're not like them. You were born the same, but you were forged different. It's like the difference between iron and steel. You're like no human I've ever met." -Selene. She held his face and wiped away the tear lines on his cheeks. Then she leaned forward and kissed him.

She stopped right away and pulled her lips away but she was still close enough to feel his breath on her cheek. "That was wrong." -Selene. "Yes it was." -Jayce. Jayce put his hands around her waist and pulled her closer to him and he kissed her on her neck. Selene turned so that she could kiss him on the lips again. As the locked lips Selene put her hand on the metal clips that hold Jayce's armor together. She ripped them off one at a time until his chest plate just fell off. Jayce pulled her jacket down off her arms and tossed it to the door. The leather jacket pushed the loose down shut. Jayce then quickly unfastened his arm guards while Selene pulled her shirt up over her head. Selene embraced him again and she kissed his shoulder, she pulled the large explosive revolver out of the back of his pants. She threw it on her jacket. Jayce was going to unbuckle his leg armor, but Selene just ripped the latches off too. He dropped his old, destroyed pieces of armor on the floor. As he pulled off his shirt, Selene bent over and ejected Jayce's silver cape from his armor. She wrapped it around her neck like a scarf again. They helped each other out of their pants and then Jayce lifted Selene up and pressed her against the wall as they kiss each other passionately. Now that they weren't taking off their clothes they could hear the music from the night club clearly. The song playing was, Fall in Love, by Phantogram.

Selene wrapped her legs around Jayce's midsection and then she licked his neck. Jayce moved his head back enough to see her face. Her fangs were larger now then they normally are. She went towards his neck again and Jayce put his thumb in the side of her mouth to make sure she didn't bit him. The more passionate she felt the more aggressive she became. Her blue eyes glowed in the dark as she playfully chewed on his thumb. Jayce pulled her away from the wall and laid her down on the bed. Selene laid back and untied the cape from her neck, she instead threw it over Jayce's head and she let it rest around his butt so that when ever she wanted him to come closer she could just pull on the cape. When Selene had had enough of this position she lifted Jayce up with her pelvis and rolled over on top of him. She pulled the cape up to his neck so she could pull his face up and look him in the eyes as she was grinding on top of him.

From the exploded hole in the wall of Jayce's apartment the whole city could see them. The lights, the car noises and the helicopter reporting news on the aftermath of the damage done to Krystal city. As the sun began to rise Selene was laying down half on top of Jayce. The sunlight brightened up the room and for the first time Selene could see all of Jayce's body. There were so many scars and cuts, some intersecting each other and some that looked to be much older than Jayce himself was. The bruises were also noticeable. She rubbed her hand along the scars like trying to spell out words with his old wounds. His scars were amazing to her because Vampires heal perfectly and don't get scars. She didn't have a single imperfection on her body, she looked up out the hole in the wall and saw that the picture of Jayce's mother was facing towards the room. She got up with nothing but the silver cape wrapped around her shoulder and turned the picture of his mother around so that it was looking out at Krystal City. "Excuse me." -Selene. When she was done moving it she then went back to the bed.

It was morning now and those who were not gravely affected by the attack on Krystal City were still going to work and living their lives as if nothing had happened. For those who were affected there were teams put together to help find people and remove debris. The dead bodies of the Lycans and feral Vampires were burned. The two freighters had been sunk and Krystal City, one of the few cities left in the world without a wall to protect it. Krystal City had survived this attack. Though many had died their will always be casualties in a war.
