Kyoya repressed a sigh as he watched his fiancé walk down the hall. Honestly, she was causing more problems than necessary. It wasn't like he was happy to have some irresponsible, demanding women as his future bride. But, it's what their fathers had planned. It was their duty to go through with this engagement regardless of their feelings towards each other.

Kyoya's father had first encountered Mr. Altimari in college. Mercello decided that he wanted to study in Japan, as opposed to Italy. A fateful encounter led to the Italian man meeting Yoshio Ootori. Immediately, the two saw the benefits to becoming friends. The two had remained friends even after college, seeing the opportunities that being acquainted with the other provided.

It wasn't until the birth of Rosalia that Mr. Ootori realized the potential that their friendship held. Yoshio had been looking for a way to expand overseas, and the young girl was the perfect excuse. The merger of the two families would make it easier for the Ootori name to gain a foothold on foreign soil. No doubt, that Mr. Altimari had the same idea when he agreed to the arranged marriage. Thus, their marriage had been assigned since they were babies, for the greater greed of their parents.

The children now held the obligation to fulfil the terms their parents had set. It was a perfectly normal expectation.

So, it wasn't like this was easy for Kyoya. He hardly knew the girl. He had only met her a few times when they were children, and that was a long time ago. Things changed, people changed. Rosalia hadn't even remembered him, not that it mattered anyway.

Kyoya could feel Tamaki's eyes on him, watching him carefully. He turned his head slightly, grey eyes locking onto violet ones. The blonde's face held a serious expression, which looked out of place on the energetic teen.

He knew that Tamaki wanted an explanation. It was a surprise that Tamaki was able to restrain himself from asking a million questions the moment the girl walked away. The dark haired teen pushed his glasses up, trying to think of a way of avoiding Tamaki's questions.

"Kyoya…is mommy hiding something from daddy?" The blonde pouted slightly, an innocent look in his eyes.

Kyoya scrutinized the blonde, "More like, mommy hasn't told daddy yet."

Tamaki watched Kyoya, waiting for him to continue.

"We can talk after club. We don't want to be late; it would be rude to the customers." Kyoya muttered before walking ahead of the blonde, and making his way to the club room.

"Kyoya! . . . Wait for me!" Tamaki called out, sounding like he wanted to protest. The blonde wanted answers. He didn't want to wait two hours for club to be over. He wanted an explanation. The argument he had walked in on between his friend and the transfer student seemed serious. He could still feel the tension in the atmosphere. In all honesty the blonde was just slightly hurt that Kyoya wasn't letting him know what was going on. The two had been friends for two years now, going on three, surly Kyoya was comfortable enough to share private information with him.

Kyoya tried to keep his mind on club activities, but with Tamaki glancing at him every once in a while he couldn't help, but to be distracted.

It wasn't that he was trying to hide the engagement form Tamaki, just that he'd rather not talk about the undesirable situation. Besides, he didn't really want everyone in the Host Club knowing every aspect of his personal life. Although, they would find out sooner or later…something like this would be impossible to hide. It was almost like a repeat of the Renge incident.

As club hours began to come to a close Kyoya sat at his laptop, typing in the figures for today. He could hear the footsteps approaching him, before he saw the hand close his laptop.

"Enough work, Kyoya!" The blonde smiled brightly. "It's time we had a serious conversation!"

Kyoya pushed up his glasses, "What is it Tamaki?" He said, although he already knew what the blonde wanted to talk about.

Tamaki sat in a chair, pulling it closer to his friend, "I want to know what mommy is trying to hide from daddy. What's going on?" His voice took on a serious tone at the end of the sentece.

Kyoya glanced around the club room. Honey-sempai was sitting at the table, depleting their sweets inventory as usual. Mori-sempai was by his side, as usual. The twins were harassing Haruhi, everyone was going on about their lives as normal. The only thing missing was having Tamaki shouting about his 'daughter', yelling at the twins and begging 'mommy' to make the two devils stop.

Instead Tamaki was here, sitting quietly beside Kyoya. The blonde's usual energetic self was replaced by a calm and serious version of the club president.

In the end, everybody in the club would want to know the details of Kyoya's engagement. It would be easier to tell everyone in the club together. Although, he didn't really want to tell anybody…he could always leave the explanation to Tamaki. Besides, if the blonde wasn't the first to know he would probably make a huge scene about it.

"Rosalia Altimari is my intended fiancé."

Tamaki's violet eyes widened with surprise, "Wh-what?"

"Miss Altimari and I are engaged-"

"I thought you didn't have a fiancé! You said you didn't! Kyoya, you lied to me!" Tamaki began to whine, looking as if he was about to burst into one of his overdramatic episodes.

"I said Renge wasn't my fiancé."

"You were hiding this from me…Kyoya…we're friends. You could have told me you had a fiancé."

"It was irrelevant at the time. She was in a different country."

"It's not irrelevant. This is something big Kyoya. I would tell you if I had a fiancé."

"My engagement with Miss Altimari is not special. It is merely a business merger for our father's companies. I didn't choose her out of my own wishes."

Tamaki looked thoughtful, as he tried to think of something more to say, something else to protest. Friends were supposed to tell each other everything. Mommies weren't supposed to keep secretes from daddies. That was the kind of thing that could tear a family apart.

"You could have told me sooner, it would have been nice to know this morning…" Tamaki muttered. Had he known Rosalia was engaged to Kyoya he would have dialed back the charm. What if the girl fell in love with him? It could very well destroy the Host Club if the young girl got the wrong idea about his princely ways.

"I said it's not important. I'm not trying to hide it; I would just…rather not talk about it. Things are difficult between us at the moment." Kyoya reached for the laptop, singling that he was ending the conversation. Just as he placed his hands on the machine, Tamaki pulled it away.

Kyoya looked up, raising an eyebrow.

Tamaki wore a ridiculous grin, like he was forming another one of his silly schemes. "Kyoya, you're a member of the Ouran Host Club. I'm sure you can win her over! And you can count on me, the king, to help!" Tamaki pointed dramatically at himself, "I'll make sure she falls in love with you!"

The thing was Kyoya wasn't sure that he wanted to win her over. He knew he didn't want to fight with her forever, but to fall in love? He wasn't sure if he wanted something like that.

Tamaki shot out of his seat, "Will initiate plan Kyoya's Happily-Ever-After at once!"

"Kyoya-sempai has a fiancé?" The twins said simultaneously.

"What's she like Kyo-chan?" Honey smiled widely, "Does she like cake? When do we get to meet her?"

"So who is the lucky lady?" Kaoru asked.

"She might be unlucky," Hikaru mumbled, earning him a glare from the shadow king.

"Miss Rosalia Altimari, the new transfer student!" Tamaki announced proudly in Kyoya's place.

"That girl from our class? She seems kind of weird. She didn't bother to really talk to anyone." Hikaru leaned back in his chair.

"She is new to Japan; no doubt she is still adjusting to the new language." Kyoya came to the girls defense. Not because he wanted to, just to make a point. Besides, Hikaru didn't really have any right to complain about someone else reaching out to others.

"You aren't even giving her a chance," Haruhi stared at Hikaru with her big brown eyes, "From what I've seen she seems nice enough."

Hikaru glanced at Haruhi, showing absolutely no interesting in getting to know somebody else.

Kaoru leaned over, "Hey Hikaru, I bet her and Haruhi could be friends. They could do girl stuff together. Maybe she could get Haruhi to dress more like a girl," He whispered into his brother's ear, glancing at Haruhi every so often.

Tamaki eyed the twins suspiciously, "Haruhi, come sit by daddy. Those nasty twins are planning something evil,"

Haruhi rolled her eyes, "If anyone is plotting something, it's you Tamaki-sempai. And I told you I already have a dad."

"Haruhi, how could you be so mean to daddy? He's just trying to protect you from the evil twins! Mommy, our daughter is going through a rebellious phase, do something!"

"I don't know what you expect me to do, daddy." Kyoya glanced down at his watch. Club duties had ended about forty-five minutes ago. He wasn't sure how long Tamaki planned on having everyone stay after. They weren't even working on official business, just discussing his engagement. Honestly, it wasn't very important. He should be spending this time doing something useful.

"So it's decided! Tomorrow you three will bring Rosalia down to the Host Club!"

Kyoya turned to look at Tamaki quicker then he meant to, "Excuse me? We don't really need to bring her to the club." This was the last place he wanted Miss Altimari to be. He didn't need her causing trouble here. That is to say, that he did not want to have to deal with the girl surrounded by club members and customers. She would surely cause a scene.

"Of course we do Kyo-chan! How else are we supposed to meet her? Me and Takashi won't see her in the halls," Honey shoveled a piece of cake into his mouth. Mori, nodded, showing his agreement with the small blonde.

"I don't think she'll enjoy a place like this," Haruhi locked eyes with Tamaki, "I doubt she would enjoy watching her fiancé flirt with other girls."

"Haruhi has a point," Kaoru stated.

"Yeah, even if she doesn't like Kyoya I don't think it would be a good idea to have her watch him flirts with other girls. She might get jealous." Hikaru placed his elbow on the table, leaning his face into his palm. The elder twin wore a bored expression on his face, as if he was tiered of the conversation.

"But…It's fun here. . . Everyone likes the Host Club!" Tamaki protested.

"Sempai, not everyone likes the Host Club. Some may find it to be more trouble than it's worth." Haruhi said bluntly.

Kyoya glanced over at Tamaki. The blonde looked slightly offended, like the thought of anybody disliking the Host Club was unfathomable. Just before his friend could begin to list the reasons as to why the Host Club was such a great thing that everybody would absolutely love Kyoya stood up, grabbing his bag off the table. Kyoya was tiered of this conversation. It was ridiculous. Tamaki was trying to get the club members worked up over absolutely nothing. The status of his relationship shouldn't matter to everyone else; it was just something he had to deal with himself. He didn't need others prying their noses into things.

"As much as I enjoy discussing my personal life, I have to get going. I will see everyone tomorrow."

"Kyoya! We're not done discussing operation Kyoya's-Happily-Ever-After!"

Kyoya didn't even acknowledge that the blonde had said something. Normally he would go along with Tamaki's silly place, normally he would entertain him, but this time he couldn't. He would not allow Tamaki to meddle in his affairs with Rosalia. He could handle this himself.
