Sorry for the late update! You guys probably hate me now. I was thinking of uploading this on Valentine's day, but I figured it can be an early gift, I hope you feel the love. I know I do because I have over 200 followers now! Thank you so much! Now on with the story!

Once again I'm sitting at my desk in Fairy Tail High. Sometimes I wonder what I'm still doing here. I've already learned everything that they could possibly teach me so what's the point.

Just then my blue haired friend walks into the classroom. She looks over at my direction and I wave to her. She looks around the room as if she was looking for someone, before scrambling over to take a sit next to me.

"Luce," she whispers, "I need to tell you something. It's about Natsu." 'About Natsu?' I thought.

"What?" I asked.

She looks around the room again. Probably to check that no one was listening to our conversation.

"Yesterday, while on the beach with Gajeel, I saw Natsu!" she whispers.

"You were on the beach with Gajeel" I grinned.

Levy blushes. "That's not the point, Luce!" she says flustered. "Natsu went up to us and asked why I wasn't at 'Lucy's' sleepover. I figured you probably told him something so I tried to cover it up. But Natsu's smart. He probably saw through my act."

"Oh no. That's not good," I said worried.

"What happened between you two yesterday anyways?" asked Levy.

I sighed. "Remember the fight that we got into?" Levy nodded. "Well he was trying to make it up to me yesterday by showing his good side. He brought me to the hospital that your family owns and we played with some of the kids. Then it was getting late so he asked if I wanted a ride home. I wasn't thinking so I said yes, but I remembered that I didn't have a house as 'Kaori'. Long story short, I told him I was going to 'Lucy's house' for a sleepover at eight and he treated me to dinner before then"

"Lucy.." Levy whispers.

"What?" I asked.

"You really have to be careful. I know your smart and all and can easily take care of yourself, but soon enough your cover is going to get blown. I can tell that you like Natsu whether you know it yourself, and both of you might get hurt if you keep building up more lies with Natsu" she says.

"You're right Levy. I never knew how tough it is to hide yourself. Plus, Natsu is smarter than average so he picks things up quicker than most people. I promise I'll be more careful" I told the blue haired girl. "So what was going on between you and Gajeel yesterday?" I asked, changing the subject.

Levy face heats up again. "W-well, after school Gajeel was supposed to walk me home. But he decided to take a little detour and he took me shopping. After we shopped, he took me out to eat. And then one thing led to another, and we ended up going to the beach together."

"Is that all?" I asked teasing the blue haired girl.

Levy's face turns a darker shade of red. "Y-ye-yeah. H-he di-didn't k-k-kiss me or anything l-like that now." she stammered. She puts her head on her desk to cover her red face.

Levy is so much fun to tease. Judging from her expression, of course they obviously did kiss. Sometimes she's just too easy to read.

"So what is shrimp getting so riled up by so early in the morning?" asked a voice from behind.

We both looked behind and came face to face with Gajeel.

"Oh nothing," I said with a hint of sarcasm. "She just told me how you guys kissed last night," I smirked.

Now it was Gajeel's turn to blush. "Oh you guys are just too cute," I giggled.

"Shup up!" Levy and Gajeel said in unison. I laugh. If only I can have a relationship like that.

Slam (Door opens)

You know what that means. In comes the 'Dragons' and the daily screaming of the students. Natsu looks at me and gives me a smile before sitting down in his usual spot.

I blush. All the students looked at me.

"Did Natsu just smile at the nerd," one student whispered.

"No, he couldn't have. I must've been our imagination," says another student.

Once again the attention has been drawn back to me. I sigh. Nothing I can do about it.

The door opens again and in comes our teacher, Mr. Freed.

"Good Morning class. Today we will have a lesson on contracts. Since almost all of you will be taking over your parents companies, you will have to learn to make business partners with heirs of other companies. This will come in handy if your company ever becomes financially unstable or when you need extra help on large projects. For today's assignment, I want everyone to pair up and write me a sample. It can be about whatever you want. And no, you may not have a group of three or more," said Mr. Freed.

Levy, Gajeel, and I looked at each other. I feel like the teacher was specifically referring to us.

"Levy, you should work with Gajeel," I winked.

"What about you?" she asked worried.

I shrugged. "I can just sit this lesson out. I already know about contracts anyways."

"Ok." said Levy, still a bit unsure.

"Is everyone paired up?" asked Mr. Freed. The class nodded.

"I don't have a partner," says someone in the back. I look to the back of the classroom to see who it was. Natsu was raising his hand nonchalantly as Erza and Gray were sitting beside him chuckling. I guess he was the odd one out.

"It seems like you don't" said Mr. Freed. "Who else here doesn't have a partner?"

I kept my mouth shut. No need for more insults in one day. Mr. Freed scans the classroom.

"Oh, Kaori. Seems like you also do not have a partner. Why don't you pair up with Natsu," the teacher said.

I was about to protest, but quickly shut my mouth. "Alright," I answered. I walked to the back of the room and sat down in an empty desk next to Natsu. Natsu gives me a quick smile and I couldn't help but blush.

"The nerd is so lucky she gets to work with him," said a girl.

"Yeah. I'm so jealous," said another girl.

Here's the bad mouthing again. Doesn't it get old.

I sighed. I wonder if Natsu is embarrassed to work with me. I looked over at him and and saw that he looked pissed. Why is he so mad? Could it be because he has to work with me...

He suddenly stands up, "Can you guys shut up! It's better to be partnered up with Kaori, than any of you" he yells before sitting back down annoyed.

The room got quiet and I turn bright red. Did Natsu just defended me? My heart was racing a million miles per hour. Ba-dump, Ba-dump, Ba-dump. 'What is going on with me?'

After a long awkward moment of silence, everyone quickly turns their attention back to the assignment.

Gray whistles. "Dude, I never seen you so mad before. That was intense."

Natsu shrugs, "They made me mad. And I always wanted to do that"

Grays puts up a thumbs up. "Good for you man."

Natsu turns back to me. "Let's get working on that assignment now," he smiles. I couldn't help but blush.

Natsu did most of the writing while I just watched. I would offer to help, but 'Kaori' probably wouldn't know anything about contracts. For some reason watching Natsu made me nervous as I heart was still racing. I should probably thank him for defending me.

"Um..Natsu?" I interrupted.

"Hm?" he answered, still writing.

"Thanks for defending me earlier," I blushed.

He looks up at me for a moment, "No prob. Those girls were starting to annoy me anyways."

I nodded shyly, not knowing what to say.

He goes back to writing. Couple minutes later, he puts down his pen and hands the paper to me. "Finished," he grins.

I read the paper, nodded, and handed it back to him. It was about a new health insurance contract for the worker's in his company. It is actually a pretty good idea.

"Mr. Freed," Natsu calls out in a bored manner. "We're done."

Mr. Freed takes the paper and quickly scans over it. "Not bad, Natsu, Kaori. This is an excellent contract. You may spend the rest of class doing whatever you wish-except causing a ruckus."

We nodded and Mr. Freed walks off to help other students. I look over at Levy and Gajeel and they were still working. I guess we were the first ones to finish.

"So how was the sleepover yesterday?" Natsu asked trying to make small talk.

"It was fun. Levy showed up a little late though," I said, trying to cover up yesterday's little beach incident.

Natsu looked a bit skeptical like he didn't believe me, but he doesn't question further. Phew.

"So does Lucy still think I'm a bad person?" he asks.

I shook my head. "I don't think so. You might have to ask her yourself."

Natsu opens his mouth as he was about to say something, but the bell ringed.

"Ok class," said Mr. Freed. "Hand your contracts in, and you may go."

I gather up my stuff and put them in my bag. I quickly swing my bag over my shoulders. "See ya later, Natsu," I said before rushing over to meet Levy and Gajeel. I had to leave quickly before he starts to ask anymore questions.

"So, how was working with Natsu?" Levy asked.

"Fine," I said.

"Just fine?" she grins.

I blush. "Yes, just fine," I said.

"Everyone was surprised when he stood up for you," Levy says.

I nodded. "I was surprised myself."

"You know, I use to really hate him, but now I think he's alright. I think I'll even let him date you," she says.

I nod again. 'Wait. What did she just say?!' I blush. "It isn't like that Levy!"

"Sure, it isn't" she grins.

"I mean it!" I yelled.

"Whatever you say, Kaori~," she winks.

I pouted.

"Loke, Virgo, I'm home" I said.

"Welcome home, Lucy" says Virgo.

"Where's Loke?" I asked.

"He should be in your office doing some work" she answered.

"Ok, I'm going to go see him. Thanks Virgo," I said.

"No problem, my lady."

I go up the stairs, through some halls, and into my office.

Loke was sitting at my desk, typing on the computer.

"Hey Loke. Any new business things that I should know of?" I asked.

"Actually there is. I received an offer for you to go to America to expand your chain there," he says.

"That's great news! The Lucky Stars Hotel Chain can now become international," I said, "Accept the offer."

"Well there's only one problem," said Loke.

"What?" I asked. It can't be that bad right?

"Well, it would require you to be away for a long time" said Loke, "Are you still sure you want to go?"

A long time? How long? That means I won't be able to see Levy, Gajeel, Loke, Virgo, or Natsu... But then again, it would benefit the company that my parents have started. The only thing I have left to remember them by.

"I'll go," I finally decided. "When do I leave?"

"In two days."
