Oh my gosh, it's been so long... really sorry for the delay with the update!
Chapter Four
It was a few days before Halloween, and we were all sitting at dinner.
"Hey, Leesh, we have divination first tomorrow. Gonna make another creepy prediction that comes true?" George asked me.
"Haha, very funny. And how was that prediction creepy?" I shared a glace with Angelina. We had agreed that she would predict the troll tomorrow.
"It was right, that's how it's creepy! And all I could see was a blob!"
"You're just not as special as I am."
"Hey!"
"Not everyone had the gift of the sight…" I imitated Trewaly.
"And not everyone has the gift of insanity either."
"OI!" Fred cut in. "I think of myself as very insane, thank you very much. And since we're twins, I think of you as very insane, too."
"Yes, you two are very gifted in that area," I told them. They just grinned.
"What about me?" asked Lee.
"Sure. You're insane too."
"YES!"
"Okay…. This could mean….. uh…." Crap. What did it mean? I was staring at the tea leaves again.
"Not so easy, is it?" taunted George.
"If you're so good at this, why don't you do me?"
"Because I don't really care anymore," he told me.
"Urg. Fine. I guess this means… good and bad Quidditch year?" I guessed. It kinda said that in the book.
"That doesn't even make sense," George pointed out.
"Yes it does. We'll be good, but then we'll lose."
"Yeah, right. You get points for creativity, though."
"Whatever," I said, and glanced at Angelina and Fred. He looked shocked. No surprise there. Our plan is taking action.
Halloween came, and Angelina and I were nervous. I know that we weren't in any danger, and no one was going to get hurt, but still. There's a troll in the school. I think we can be nervous. "Lighten up you two," Fred told us. "It's Halloween. Enjoy the feast. Angelina's stupid prediction won't come true."
"What did she predict?" Lee asked.
"That there would be some sort of danger tonight. Come on! It's Halloween, what danger?"
It was at that moment the doors burst open, and Quirrel was standing there. "T-t-roll i-n-n th-h-e du-u-ungens," he stuttered, then fainted. Fred looked at me wide-eyed.
"Oh my god, you were right!" he yelled at Ange.
"Lucky guess," said Lee. He still didn't believe us. But I think we managed to convince Fred, George and Katie. Speaking of us predicting the future, we should probably get back to our dorms…
We all jumped up and ran out of the Great Hall.
I opened my eyes and yawned. Thank god it's Saturday. I rolled over and looked at the clock on the side of my bed, which said it was nine thirty. Guess it's a good time to get up. I stood up and stretched. I realized that everyone was still sleeping except Victoria, who wasn't in the room. She mostly hung out with fourth years, so she was probably down at breakfast with them.
As I was walking to the bathroom, I happened to look out the window. It was snowing outside! And I don't mean just snow; I mean more like a blizzard. Great day for another snowball fight!
"Ange!" I yelled, jumping on her. "Wake up! It's snowing!"
"What?" she asked sleepily then looked out the window. "Oh my gosh, it's snowing!" She exclaimed.
"I know! It's a great day for a snowball fight!" I told her.
"Shut up," Jasmine moaned from her bed.
"Some people are trying to sleep," Ellie added, and they both rolled over and went back to sleep. I rolled my eyes. It's not my fault that they decided to stay up until four this morning, talking and giggling. When I was trying to sleep. And they weren't being quiet either. So I'm not being quiet for them now.
I noisily made my way to the bathroom, where I got dressed and brushed my teeth. "You get dressed. I'll go wake up the boys and Katie," I told Angelina when I came out.
I went to Katie's room first, where everyone was still sleeping. I quietly made my way over to Katie's bed, careful not to wake anyone up. They're nice people, no reason to disturb their sleep.
I shook Katie. No response. I shook her again. "Huh?" She mumbled.
"Katie, it's snowing out. We're gonna have a snowball fight today, so get up," I whispered. At the word snow, she sat up. "See you in a few minutes."
Next, to the boys' room. This should be fun.
I open the door, and saw that it was only the three of them still there. The rest of the boys were gone, so I don't have to worry about being quiet.
I walked to George's bed first, and lightly shook him. "George, wake up," I said. He just rolled over. I hit his shoulder, and again no response. I shook him more violently. He still didn't wake up. I sighed.
I opened the bathroom door and filled a glass with cold water. Then I went back over to George's bed, and slowly started pouring it on his forehead. As soon as he started to open his eyes, I dumped the rest of the water on him.
"Hey! What was that for?" he yelled.
I shrugged. "You wouldn't wake up." I then walked over to Fred's bed, shoved him off of it and onto the floor, and then screamed in Lee's ear.
"You're mean," George told me.
"Yeah," said Fred, rubbing his shoulder.
"Why would you scream in my ear?" Lee asked.
"I dunno, I ran out of ideas."
We met outside an hour later, after getting breakfast. Ange, Katie and I grinned evilly. We had found a charm that chucks snowballs at people. A lot of snowballs. And one that would give us the best fort ever.
"Okay, the rules are you get 10 minutes to make a fort without magic. Then, once those 10 minutes are over, it starts. Whoever surrenders first loses. And the only thing you can hit someone with is snow, no ice. Get it?" Fred laid out the rules for us.
"Got it," we all replied.
"Ready….. GO!" We ran off to the side.
"What are we going to do?" Angelina hissed. "We can't use magic!"
"Okay, here's the plan," I said. "Make the most pathetic fort possible. Once ten minutes are up, we do the spells." We set to work creating a little lump of snow. Every once and a while the boys would look over at us and laugh at how pathetic it looked. We shared secret smiles. They won't know what hit 'em.
"5… 4… 3… 2… 1… START!" Yelled out Lee.
"NIX CASTELLUM!" The three of us screamed, pointing at our little pile.
"What the…?"
Review please! :)
