New chapter! Whooo!
Chapter Six
"We're free!" Angelina yelled as we burst out of the castle, our last exams finished. We spotted Fred, George and Lee over by the lake with the Giant Squid, and turned towards that direction, but then I remembered something.
"Wait," I grabbed her arm. "Do you think we should do anything about what's going to happen tonight?" I whispered.
"I don't think so," Ange replied. "I think everything ends up good, besides the fact that we lose the Quidditch Cup, but I don't want to mess with it and have something bad happen."
"Good point."
"Hey, guys!" All of a sudden we were engulfed in a hug by Katie.
"Hey, Katie, how were your exams?"
"I, like, totally blanked on some stuff, but I'm pretty sure I got enough right to pass, so it doesn't matter!" She grinned. I laughed, that was Katie, always the optimist. "Are you guys ready to kick some Ravenclaw butt tomorrow?"
"They won't even know what hit 'em," Angelina responded, even though we knew we had no chance without Harry.
"Come on, let's go see what the boys are up to," I pointed to where they were, now tickling the squid.
As we headed towards them, Angelina suddenly got an idea. "I'm going to sneak up behind Fred and push him in the lake," she whispered to us, an evil grin on her face. Katie and I nodded and laughed. When we were approaching the boys, Fred and George had their backs to us, but Lee noticed us and started to say hi, only to be shushed by Ange.
She crept up behind the unsuspecting Fred, who was standing right on the edge of the lake, and quickly shoved his back.
Fred was caught completely off guard, and pitched forward into the murky water, only to come back up sputtering a moment later. "What was that for?" he asked, glaring at Angelina.
"It was too easy," she laughed, as me and Katie high fived her.
"Well could you at least help me up?" He held out a hand to her.
"Of course, Fred," she reached down and grabbed his hand, her expression turning to one of horror when she realized what he was doing, and she tumbled into the water as well.
I was doubled over laughing at the sight of the two of them glaring at each other, drenched in water, when I felt myself being picked up and tossed into the water alongside them.
I resurfaced, looking around accusingly, only to have George jump in next to me with a splash, soaking me again. "Nice day for a dip, isn't it?"
"Jerk," I pushed him, and he pretended to lose his balance and fall over.
"Well, you guys look like you're having fun, but I think Katie and I will stay up here on the nice, dry grass," said Lee.
"Speak for yourself!" And with that, Katie took a running start and jumped in, soaking Lee in the process.
I woke up the next morning to Katie shaking me. "Alicia! Guess what!"
I groaned. "What caused you to wake me up at this ungodly hour of the morning when we don't even have classes?"
"Last night, Harry Potter stopped You-Know-Who from returning! Apparently his face was on the back of back of Quirrel's head, and that's why he wore the turban all the time! Can you believe it? Quirrrel's evil! You would never guess the way he stutters all the time! Anyways, Harry, like, went down through all these enchantments, and got the Sorcerer's Rock from him or something. Can you believe it?"
"Don't you mean the Sorcerer's Stone, Katie?"
"Yeah, yeah, same thing."
"But wow, yeah, is he okay?" I mean, I knew he was, but it would be rude not to ask.
"He's in the hospital wing now, but Dumbledore said he'll be fine. Oh, but he won't be able to play Quidditch today," she finished sadly.
Angelina groaned from the bed next to me. "We're going to get flattened."
We were forced to play without a seeker, and we had no chance. There was no way that me Angelina and Katie could score enough points to beat Ravenclaw's seeker, especially when she had no competition.
"What was that about not needing a reserve seeker?" Angelina asked Fred and George sourly as we made our way back to the changing rooms, trying to ignore the cheers of the Ravenclaws. Fred glared at her. Oliver looked like he was going to cry.
"We're having try-outs for a reserve seeker as soon as we can next year," he told us. "We only have two more years to win the Cup and-"
"Oliver, some of us have four years," I rolled my eyes at him.
"I meant as a team, Alicia!"
"Riiiight."
"Anyways, over the summer I want all of you to work on plays, and practice as much as you can, and maybe we can even have team practices, and-"
"Bye Oliver, see you later!" Katie called as she marched out the door, the rest of us following her. We met up with Lee, who gave us all a sad smile.
"No Quidditch Cup, no House Cup, what else can we lose this year?"
"We haven't lost the House Cup yet!" I informed him.
"Come on, Alicia. We're in last place and it's awarded in less than a week. Plus, there are no more classes," George rolled his eyes at me.
I shrugged. "Stranger things have happened."
"Yeah, and you're existence is one of the few." I playfully punched his arm. "Oi! That hurt!"
"Wimp."
"I can't believe it! We won!" Lee shouted, digging into the food as the Great Hall decorations transformed to Gryffindor colors.
"Told you we hadn't lost yet."
"What's with you two being right about everything this year?" Katie looked at us curiously. I shifted guiltily at this. Katie was my best friend next to Angelina, and we both wanted so badly to tell her, but the note specifically said not to.
"I don't know. I just know."
"Weirdos."
"Thanks."
"Come on, it's the last night of term. We have a slumber party to have!" Katie grabbed our hands and led us back to the Common Room and up to the girl's dorms. "I'm going to go change and get some candy, I'll meet you guys in your dorm in a few minutes!"
I walked into my dorm and towards my bed, and that's when I noticed there was a pile of book with a note on top.
Ohhh, cliffie! Will they tell Katie? What will they find out? If you review I may update faster!
