Merry Christmas

(Renesmee's POV)

"Hey guys!" I greeted my cousins and sister. Right now everyone was playing around the Christmas tree before bed. Lily was with her barbies while Aidan and Lizzy were playing with blocks. Lizzy and Aidan were currently trying to build a castle.

I sit with my legs crossed right next to Lily. I take a deep breath and take in the pine scent coming from the tree. I loved the smell of the tree, it smelled like being in the outdoors. Ever since we put it up, we haven't been able to leave it alone. We've been playing around it the past couple of days. I have to say, it's made us happy. Along with that the gingerbread houses Aunt Alice got us, having Uncle Emmett reenact the story of Rudolph with Uncle Jasper, baking with Grandma, and the Christmas crafts that momma and daddy got us. It's been really fun.

"Hey, Ness," Lily said to me.

"Do you want me to play with you?" I asked her, motioning to the dolls.

"Okay!" She exclaimed, grinning widely.

We all play with each other for a little bit. Tonight was Christmas Eve and the excitement was all around us. I know it would be impossible for us to sleep tonight.

"Bed time!" Aunt Rosalie announced as she came into the room.

"But Momma!" Aidan whined. The block he had levitating in the air ended up falling to the ground in the process, causing it to knock down the block tower he built with Lizzy.

"Sorry, Lizard," he apologized. He winced, giving her a sheepish smile to my sister. Lizzy sighed, shaking her head.

"Santa won't come if you don't go to bed," Aunt Rosalie chided. "And that means no presents."

"Well we want to stay up and catch Santa though," Aidan protested.

"Then he'll never come then Aide," I pointed out. "He doesn't visit good boys and girls who aren't sleeping."

"Oh." Aidan mumbled, trailing off.

"Come on, Momma's right. Let's go to bed," Lily announced to the group, scrambling towards her mother. "But! Can we all sleep together tonight?"

"I don't see why not." Aunt Rosalie smile at all of us. "If you want you can all camp out together."

"Ya! Come on guys! We can go to my room!" Lily cheered. We were all about to run upstairs to get ready for bed, when Aunt Alice came sliding over with a bunch of pajamas in her arms.

"Wait!" Aunt Alice called out to us. "Not yet! I have something for you guys!"

"Really!? What?" Aidan asked excitedly.

"It's the Cullen tradition to wear your pajamas on Christmas day, so I got you special pairs to wear," Aunt Alice announced, smiling widely as she began to show the outfits off.

"Since when? We didn't do it for my first Christmas?" I pointed out, remembering my Christmases. Last Christmas morning I spent opening some presents at the cottage, then we went here where I opened a mountain of them. But I remember Momma changing me into something nice since we were having a party. I don't think we were having anything big this year.

"Because I wasn't there to make you wear them," Aunt Alice chirped with a smirk. She then handed me a pair of footy pajamas, "Also I decided to enforce it this year."

All the of us girls had striped candy cane pajamas while Aidan had red ones with Santa Claus on them.

Once I'm changed I walk into Daddy's old bedroom where him and Momma are. Lizzy was in my arms since she still couldn't walk on her own.

Momma was on the couch rubbing her big belly while Daddy supported her from behind while they watched T.V.

"Good night," I said to them as I set Lizzy down on the bed.

"Night angel, Merry Christmas," Momma told me as she kissed the top of my forehead. With the help of Daddy she lifted Lizzy onto her lap.

"Night baby," I whispered, kissing Momma's belly. My momma smiled in response and stoked my hair.

"Night Daddy," I said, going to hug my father.

"Goodnight, Angel," He told me, pressing a kiss to my forehead.

"Come on Lizzy, let's go to sleep so Santa can come in the morning!" I exclaimed, looking at my little sister as she finished saying goodnight to Momma.

"Alright!" She told me via her power. I then pick her up in my arms and head over to Lily's room.

When we get in there Uncle Emmett just finished setting up a tent on the floor for us. I peak inside to see Aidan is already snoring like a bear on his side of the makeshift bed while Lily is patiently waiting for us. Aunt Rosalie is under there as well with a story book in hands.

"Hey," I greeted them, taking a seat with Lizzy in the tent. I sit in between her and Lily as we face Aunt Rose. My aunt looks at us with a big smile.

"Alright, I'm going to read you guys a special story. I read it to Nessie her past couple of Christmases," Aunt Rose explained, taking the book out. I shared a smile with my aunt once she held up the old red leather book. "In fact, this exact storybook was the same one I had when I was a little girl."

"Wow, Momma. It's beautiful," Lily complimented her.

"Well, thank you Lily. This story is called the The Night Before Christmas," Aunt Rose announced, smiling down at us as she began. "The night before Christmas, and all through the house. Not a creature was stirring. Not even a mouse..."

As the story proceeded, we all drifted to the sleep in no time. I felt Aunt Rose place a kiss on each of our foreheads before making her way out of the tent for the night. From there, we all dozed off to sleep.

The next morning, when I opened my eyes, I could see light stream through the tent. I blink a few times before I see Lily and Aidan's grinning faces looking at me.

"AH!" I cried out, spooked. I got up from my position on the makeshift bed to look at my cousins.

"Santa came, come on!" Aidan exclaimed, tugging at my hand. I saw Lizzy waking up rubbing her little eyes. She frowned at us all.

"What's with all the racket?"

"Santa came Liz," I exclaimed, grinning now. Instantly her face brightened up and she reached out for me. I swoop her up as we all rush down the stairs using our vampire speed. When we reach the living room I could see a sea of presents surrounding the tree. Presents in waves of greens, reds, and golds.

"Hold on there!" Grandpa Carlisle called out before any of us could move. Our grandfather stood in front of us so we're all blocked by his legs. At this point we're trying to sneak another peak at all the presents from behind my grandfather's legs. Of course as kids this makes us go even crazier.

"Wait for your parents kids, I'm sure they want to see you open your presents," Grandpa told us.

We all begin to protest when Aunt Alice came swirling down the stairs with a big grin. I noticed she was in pink flannel pajamas with little candy canes on them.

"Come on Dad! It's Christmas!" Alice exclaimed gleefully. Grandpa couldn't help but smile hearing Aunt Alice call him that.

"Hold on Alice, I'm sure Bella, Edward, Rose, and Emmett want to see their kids open their presents," Grandpa pointed out.

"Presents!" Uncle Emmett boomed as he came running down the stairs. "Bellsy! Eddie! Jazz! Rosie! Hurry up!"

"Coming you big luge! Calm your horses," Aunt Rosalie muttered as she came down followed by my parents and Uncle Jasper. "We had to change into Alice's pajamas."

"What? You guys look nice in them," Aunt Alice exclaimed. I take another look to see now that all the girls like Aunt Alice with the pink flannel pajamas with candy canes on them. I look to see my dad, Uncle Emmett, and Uncle Jasper were all in red flannel pajamas with Santa Clauses on them. I couldn't help but laugh with my cousins and sister at the sight.

"Let them go forward Carlisle!" Grandma giggled, coming over to give him a kiss on the cheek as she came over. I noticed she was in a red matching robe with my Grandfather. Aunt Alice must have made them wear that as well.

"Alright," Grandpa chuckled. He then stepped to the side, letting us go wild.

"The ones with the purple bows are Ness's, pink bows are Lily's, blue are Aidan's, and green are Lizzy's!" Aunt Alice called out to us. That's the last thing I heard though before I dove into my pile of presents.

I ended up getting a bunch of clothing, toys, and books from Santa. Lily got a bunch of things princess related, Aidan got more building supplies like what seemed to be all the legos in a toy store, and Lizzy got some books and little kid art supplies.

Aunt Alice also got the others baseball Jerseys for when we can play baseball again. Lily is number ten and 'Munchkin #1', Aidan is number eleven and 'Munchkin #2', and Lizzy is number twelve and 'Lizard'. I think Aidan's nickname for Lizzy really rubbed off on the family.

"Merry Christmas!" I heard Grandpa Charlie call out from the front door.

I grinned hearing his voice. Without waiting I ran to where I could see them all now. Besides Grandpa Charlie, there was also Sue, Jakey, Seth, Leah, Sam, Emily, and most of the wolf pack.

Emily catches my eye though. It looked like her pregnancy was starting to show now. It was more of a slight bulge than Momma's enlarged stomach. I think Jacob mentioned she was due sometime this summer.

"Grandpa!" I exclaimed, spotting him. I run over to him and he swoops me up in the air.

"Hey there kiddo!" He smiled, kissing my cheek. "Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas, Grandpa," I told him, hugging tightly to him once more.

When he places me down I say Merry Christmas to everyone else, but then I see Jacob. He chuckles, "Merry Christmas, Ness."

"Jakey!" I exclaimed, running towards him. He scoops me up and plants a kiss on the top of my head. I laughed as I go to hug him by the torso.

"Nice pj's there, I take it the pix over there is making you wear them," He teased, looking down at me.

"Funny, Jake," I remarked. I roll my eyes playfully at him, which causes him to chuckle. "But guess what! I got so many presents! Santa actually came!"

"That's great kiddo!" Jacob told me. "By the way, I also have a presents for you too."

"You didn't have to get me anything," I pointed out to my best friend.

"Of course I did!" He insisted. I raised my eyebrows as he then walks outside to retrieve a big stuffed wolf. Just like him.

"It's like you Jake!" I exclaimed, running to it. He chuckled at this as I hug tightly to it. "Thank you so much!"

"Anything for you, kiddo," He told me. I then run to my best friend and give him a big hug.

"I need to show my parents!" I chirped, grabbing the ear of the wolf. I then dragged him to the other room where my parents are seated on the couch.

"Momma! Daddy! Look what Jakey got me!" I chimed, showing my new present to my parents.

"Wow baby that's wonderful." Momma smiled kissing my curls. "Did you give Jacob his present?"

"Oh yeah!" I cried out, rushing to grab the tiny wrapped up box. I then head to Jacob and place it in his hands. "It's not big like the one you gave me, but I still hope you like it."

"I'm sure I will, Ness," he said. I watched as Jacob then opened the box up to reveal the motorcycle ornament I got him.

"Do you like it?" I asked shyly.

"Of course I do!" Jacob grinned, admiring it. "I love it, Ness. Thank you so much."

We both then hug each other tightly. I'm so glad I get to spend Christmas with my Jacob. It made everything better. As we pulled apart, I could see a hand flying to my mother's stomach. Her eyes widen in surprise.

"What is it love?" my father asked, slightly worried.

"The baby kicked." My mother announced, grinning. I felt my eyes widen as I then place my hand on her stomach. Lizzy joins me as we feel a slight flutter under our hands. We all shared looks of excitement with one another before returning back to Momma's stomach.

"Hiya there baby, these are your sisters," I whispered to Momma's stomach, giggling with Lizzy.

"What are you going to name the baby?" I asked curiously, looking up at Momma.

I watched as she bit her lip. She then turns to Daddy who nods. "Well...If it's a boy I guess we'll stick with Masen Anthony, and if not maybe Jemma Marie. It's Emmett and Jasper combined and it's after my grandma Marie," Momma murmured, patting her stomach.

"So Masen or Jemma. They're both beautiful names," I told Momma. "I'm sure it'll fit whatever it is."

"I say it's a boy," Aunt Rosalie declared coming over. "Call it mother's instinct."

"That and the rate he's growing," Daddy added, touching Momma's stomach. "It's got to be a boy love."

"Every time we've had a child I've thought it was a boy. At this point, I don't care. Just as long as he or she is happy," Momma muttered, patting her stomach.

"Well I know what it is," Aunt Alice sung, prancing around.

"We don't want to know yet Alice," Momma chided. This caused Aunt Alice to begin counting.

"Fine but I'll get to design he or she's nursery!" Aunt Alice declared.

"You'll do it anyway," Momma pointed out.

Aunt Alice chuckled, "Yeah, you're right. I will."

"So Emily do you know what the gender is yet?" my mother asked, turning to Emily who was sitting by Sam on one of the couches.

"No, not really. I think it's a girl honestly," Emily said, rubbing her stomach. "Then again, maybe it's a boy."

"Well whatever it is, I'm sure we'll love her or him," Sam intervened, grinning. Emily smiled as Sam went to give her a kiss on the cheek. I noticed Leah's eyes seem to grow sad. I feel bad for Leah sometimes. Jacob told me she's sad. I hope she's not sad today.

"Leah!" I called out to her. She looked towards me, surprise on her face. I smiled as I walked over to her with a wrapped present I got for her. "Merry Christmas!"

Leah looked at me with wide eyes, "Oh wow. Thank you, Nessie."

"You should open it," I told her, smiling.

"Alright." She grinned, tearing the paper open. Inside was a bracelet I made in class.

"I hope you like it. I made it," I told her proudly. I then held up a specific bead, "And there's a wolf. Just like you."

"Aw, Nessie," Leah gushed, looking at me with a thankful smile. "Thank you. Really, thank you."

"No problem. Merry Christmas," I told her. She then brought me into a hug and I smiled, hugging her back. It was good to see Leah happy. She really deserved to be happy.

After Leah, I decided to play on the carpet with Lily. She got Candy Land from Santa so we were pretty excited to play that. We even got Jacob to play. Meanwhile Seth was with Aidan and Lizzy as they were building with the legos. All of the adults were gathered around us talking 'adult' stuff.

"No Lizard, it goes here," Aidan muttered at my sister. She frowned moving her tiny little baby arm placing the block where it once was.

"Liz, I'm telling you it goes there," Aidan insisted. Lizzy frowned and shook her head. She began to look for guidance and looked at me.

"Nessie!" She called out to me. I froze along with everyone else in the room.

"Did she just say-"

"Nessie! Help! Adwin mean!" Lizzy barley made out.

"I've been working on it, Merry Christmas, sissy." She told me with her smile. Meanwhile, I couldn't help but smile as I bring her into a hug.

"You said my name, your first word!" I exclaimed, rushing over to her.

"Thanks for the gift," I told her via my power, placing a hand on her arm.

"Your welcome." She smiled at me.

"Baby girl you just said your first word!" Momma praised her. I picked up Lizzy and brought her over to Momma so she can congratulate Lizzy with Daddy. Momma hugged onto Lizzy while Daddy went to give her a kiss on the head.

"Awww she said Nessie as her first word," Aunt Alice gushed, prancing around. "So cute! Congrats sweet girl!"

"Hey! For the record she did say Adwin!" Aidan protested. I chuckled as I ruffle my cousin's hair.

"Yep sure she did," I replied, chuckling.

"That's right- wait a minute, is that suppose to be an insult?" He frowned causing the rest of us to laugh.

That night I was in the big bed in Daddy's room with Lizzy right next to me in her little moses's bed. Her little head slightly popped out while she sucked on her stuff wolf's ear.

"You two had a fun Christmas?" Momma asked as she came to tuck us in.

"Yeah!" I grinned hugging tight to my wolf stuff animal.

"Good." Momma smiled, patting my legs. "I take it you would like a story tonight?"

I nodded eagerly with Lizzy as Momma takes out the story a Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

I smile in content as the words of Charles Dickens fill my ears slowly lulling me to sleep. Soon I felt my eyelids close and I was in my own dreamland of white and wintery Christmas.

Best Christmas Ever!
