And Let the Battle Begin

(Jacob's POV)

I had been sleeping when I heard Nessie's scream pierce the night. I automatically shot up without hesitation. I know that's her scream. I've sadly heard that scream too many times before to know it's definitely hers. I look around my room to see Seth shoot up as well.

"JACOB!" I heard her scream again.

"Oh no, he's got Ness!" I cried out as I rushed out of my room. I could see Lorenzo running out the door with my imprint. Okay this guy is in for a huge beating of a life time. No one touches my imprint and gets away with it. Especially not Ness.

Colin and Brady are next right after I'm done with him. How did they miss Lorenzo? They're not even a yard away from the damned house. Knew I should've had Quil and Embry come up here.

I let a growl rip through me as I transform into a wolf. I begin to run as fast as I can after Ness. I can hear her screaming in the night and I run even faster. I kept running until I came across Lorenzo with Renesmee and two of his followers.

Ness is struggling in his iron grip as I stalk towards them carefully. I didn't want to do anything that might set him off and get us both killed. I notice his followers were stalking me down as well. One is transformed into a wolf while the other is a leach who is flashing his teeth at me. Both were ready to fight.

I take it that this wolf was a child of the moon and not a shapeshifter. He was slightly bigger than me, but not by a lot. The wolf looked pretty menacing, and so does the vampire, but I was ready to take them on both if it meant getting Ness back. I wasn't afraid. This would be for Ness.

I heard two howls come from behind me. I turn around to see Colin and Brady running to my sides.

"Sorry Jake, we didn't see anything at all. He completely disappeared from our radiator!" Colin yelled to me in his head. "He can disguise his stench or something!"

I just shrug it off. I didn't need explanations right now. I just needed Renesmee.

With that, I let a huge growl erupt from my mouth and snarl at Lorenzo. He only finds this amusing as he cackled at me.

"Oh look it's the guard dog and his puppies! Don't let them through," Lorenzo ordered fiercely to his two goons.

"JAKEY!" Renesmee screamed to me. I didn't waste time as I tried to run to her. I only got pushed back by one of his goons. I growled as I let my anger out. I felt so much anger in me that I pushed the vampire to the ground and ripped him apart. I tore him apart limp by limp until he was nothing. Just like Lorenzo will be when I get my hands on him.

"GO JAKE! We have it under control now!" Brady shouted to me.

"Alright! Thank you!" I told them. I then rush towards the sounds of Renesmee's screaming. I could smell her scent as I followed it to the middle of a clearing. I look to see a wolf come this way. I get ready to pounce only to see that it's Quil.

"Jake, the battle's starting. Sam sent me up here to tell you in case someone tries to get the kids, but obviously something else's going on. What the hell happened? Shouldn't you be with Ness?" He questioned, looking at me with a bit of a confused look on his face.

"He's got Ness, come with me," I command him.

"Jake, I don't..."

"Just do it," I growled at him. He nodded resultantly as we begin to run after the scent of Ness. Lorenzo wasn't going to get my imprint that easy. I wouldn't allow it.

I ran with Quil until I got to an abandoned house in the mountains. I made sure to tell Sam what happened with Renesmee. Bella and Edward were now trying to fight through his guys to get here to help her. But this is all my fault. I'm suppose to protect her, and I failed her. If anyone's bringing her home, it's me. This guy is messing with the wrong imprint.

Quil runs behind me as we enter the place he has Renesmee held.

(Lizzy's POV)

I wake up to the sound of Nessie screaming. I cry out as I desperately try to get out of my basket, without trying to crack my head. I actually don't think I can do that, but at the moment I'm not willing to find out.

"Here Liz," Masen said as he let me out and down. I hate that I can't walk yet. You think someone with my intelligence level would figure out how to walk. You think it looks so simple, just one foot in front of the other, but balancing is impossible. I think I can thank my mother for my incoordination. The sad thing about that is, I'm not even part human. I've been trying to walk with the help of Aidan, but he's a bit of a goof and likes to chuckle when I fall. Well he's the type that tries to hide his laughter, but doesn't succeed.

"Thank you," I tell him via my power. Even though I can talk, it's just easier this way. I guess you can say I've been practicing on my own how to pronounce bigger and more complex words.

I go to crawl as fast as I can towards the scene. I notice Jake is gone and so is my sister. I look up to see Seth pacing around. When he see's us he panics.

"What happened Seth?" Masen asked him.

"Um.."

"How to tell them...Well I could just blurt it out like 'your sister was taken by the crazy guy' or maybe- oh this isn't going to be good."

I let out a piercing shriek when I read his mind. Lorenzo took my sister! Oh he's gonna get it! Baby or not I'll wring the guy's neck! I've read plenty of war books that belonged to Uncle Jasper, something my parents and Uncle Jazz don't know about, and I plan to keep it that way. I just get bored reading stupid silly children's books. I'm your average Matilda. Anyway I know tactic and I can beat him up! Oh what am I kidding, I'm the size of a one and a half year old and I can't even walk yet. Pathetic, I know.

Seth looks stunned at me with a bit of fear hit his face. I think he believes I'm hurt.

"SETH JUST TELL US NEXT TIME!" I scream at him through my power. He smiled sheepishly at me before he goes to pick me up in his arms.

"Lorenzo took Ness," Masen growled. I looked at my brother and I could tell his shield was forming out of his anger. I felt this strange urge all of a sudden as I went to touch his arm. I went to expand my shield to see that our shields combined formed a bubble almost around the house. I look towards Aidan who seemed to notice as well.

"What are you two doing?" Lily asked, frowning. "We have a crisis here!" She cried out, flailing her arms at us.

"They are creating a bigger shield together," Aidan whispered. He then held up his finger and pointed it towards the outside of the house "Look."

Lily seemed to notice it now, looking at it with curiosity. It was like a thin layer of glass that surrounded us. It was amazing, but Seth seemed oblivious to this whole thing.

"Umm guys I don't see anything," Seth remarked. I frowned at him slightly. How doesn't he notice it? Must be a vampire thing.

I noticed Colin and Brady running this way, but they both crash into the shield. I let go of Masen's arm so they can come through. They both shake their heads as they try to process what just occurred.

"Colin! Brady! What happened?" Seth asked as he ran over to them. Both guys go to change into humans behind the bushes and come running out.

"He's got Ness, and Jake went with Quil to go safe Ness," Colin cried out.

"We didn't even see him, I feel horrible. He just completely disappeared from our radiator," Brady added, his voice full of guilt.

"It's fine guys," Seth told them. "It's not your fault. The guy is skilled."

"That's not it. This Lorenzo has some goons coming our way. Right now! We took out two before, but more are coming. We can't hold them off anymore!" Brady explained hastily.

I hear a howl and turn to see two wolves, who were clearly children of the moon, and three vampires making their way.

"Oh shit," Colin cursed under his breath.

"The Children of the Moon aren't easy to beat. It took Colin and I awhile to um dispose of him," Brady hissed to Seth.

"Well guys, we fight," Seth growled. I watched my imprint transform into a big wolf in front of me. Colin and Brady do the same. I then share a look with Aidan, Masen, and Lily. They're going to need help, even if we're little I'm not going to let them hurt MY Sethy.

I go to grab Masen's arm as we form a bubble around the house. Aidan is ready to use his telekinesis while Lily tires to contact the parents. I know were just made up three young wolves, a goofy boy, a short tempered girl, my determined brother, and me, an intelligent baby who can't even walk or talk yet, but I know we can do this.

All I have to say is, I hope we make it out alive. It would be nice to live past one. Just saying.

(Bella's POV)

It was so quiet without the kids here. I hated it, but I knew it was for the best. They were probably safer up in the mountains away from the battle than being here. We were all standing at the clearing, waiting for Lorenzo and his men to attack. I was gripping onto Edward while the others all sat around. Alice was sitting on the ground trying to get a vision while the wolves waited around us.

"You think they'll be safe up there?" I whispered to Edward.

"They should be. It's safer for them to be far away from the battle," My husband reassured me. Although I felt this feeling in the pit of my stomach telling me that it wasn't true.

"Reminds me of the battle of Gettysburg," Garrett muttered under his breath.

"Don't remind me of that," Jasper mumbled, frowning at his friend. "I'm having flashbacks to the battle of Shiloh."

"Do you guys have to recall bloody civil war battles in a time like this?" Rosalie hissed at the two.

"At least this is not the Volturi," Kate muttered.

"Then we'd be screwed," Emmett added, whistling.

"Can you all be quiet," Tanya demanded, rubbing her temples.

Alice gasped all of a sudden, causing everyone to look at her. She automatically stood up from her position on the floor while Jasper came dashing to her side.

"They're coming, get ready!" Alice commanded.

Everyone came up to the front and we all stood in a line, waiting for them to come. I look to see a couple of wolves emerging form the trees. Along with them were a few vampires. They were slowly stalking towards us, getting ready to attack.

"Are those shape shifters?" Emmett questioned, noticing the wolves.

"No, children of the moon," Carlisle told him before turning to look at me. "Bella put your shield around us!"

"Alright," I complied as I put my shield around us all.

"Now Ethan, I want you to do the same," Carlisle ordered him.

"I don't think that's the best idea," Ethan muttered. We all turn to him a with confused expressions. His shield is going to help us out greatly. It was a physical shield so it was like a natural boundary almost.

"Why?" Jasper asked him, clearly confused as the rest of us.

"Because...Did I mention I can use my shield to crush vampires," He murmured. "I can warp it around a vampire and crush it to pieces."

"Then you should use it," Jasper commented like it was the obvious choice.

"The thing is I read emotions of people inside my shield, that's its only flaw. If I'm about to kill someone I can feel their anger and pain, so it is actually a painful process I'm trying to control still. But I'm willing to take the risk this time," Ethan explained. "I just want Lorenzo and his men dead," he added softly.

"Alright," Carlisle said. "But if it is harming you, please stop."

"Alright," Ethan replied as he took a deep breath. By his facial expression I could tell he's been waiting for this moment ever since Lorenzo murdered his parents.

"This is it," Jasper announced as they began to now run towards us. "Charge...Now!"

We all begin to run and I hit the head of the first vampire I see. I have Edward backing me up as we begin to fight off any vampire that tries to attack us. I look at Ethan to make sure he's alright. His power amazed me as I see him crush multiple vampires, but his face is twisted in pain. I think he's trying to fight it. The others were doing great as well as they ripped apart the vampires to pieces. The wolves were helping whoever they could. The Denali's were focused on the vampires while Jasper and Emmett tried to figure out a way to defeat the children of the moon. Rosalie and Alice got their husband's backs and Carlisle and Esme were just wherever their family needed them, just like Edward and I. The wolves were fighting everything in between.

Edward all of a sudden stopped in the middle of the field. I look to see Sam looking right at him. Maybe he's telling him something?

A vampire decides to take advantage of this and tries to attack Edward from behind. I growled as I pounce on the vampire, ripping her head off his body. After I dismember the vampire, I look to see my husband is still frozen.

"Edward, what is it?" I asked a bit frightened. I go to shake him gently. "You can't freeze up like this in the middle of the battle field!"

"Lorenzo, he took Ness," His voice was strained as he just stared at Sam. I felt myself freeze up a bit, but I shake it away.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get our baby girl back!" I growled as I go to punch one of the vampires away.

"That's not all, they have a few guys trying to attack the kids. We need to get up there, now," Edward told me. I nodded as we try to fight through the many vampires. Soon we reach the edge of the battle field. We begin to run towards the cabin as fast as we can. Our family shouldn't be too long. With the wolves and the Denali's, it was a pretty easy win. Now we just have to save our kids.

"Wait up!" I look to see Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper following us from behind.

"We can't! Lorenzo has Ness! Plus there are guys after the kids up in the cabin!" I cried out all in a rush at my family.

"Look you guys get Ness, we got the men. We'll join you shortly after," Alice told me.

"Alright," I agreed with my sister, but I was antsy. I needed to leave now.

"She's in an abandoned house and right now Jacob is trying to get her out with Quil. Run!" Alice yelled at us.

"Don't worry, we are," I said. I then growl as I run with Edward towards the abandoned house that has Renesmee in it. This guy is seriously messing with the wrong vampire family.

A/N: So what do you guys think? Another cliffhanger but it's about to get pretty intense. Thanks to my beta, Twilightfanjm, once again. Anyway Sunrise is nearing an end soon and I cannot wait to start writing the next story to their saga. Wait till you see what I have in stored for them, I'm so excited. I want to bring up the fact I decided to make a blog to help me out with some things for my stories, there's a link to it on my profile if you want to go check it out. Just has some photos of the characters like Ethan and stuff. Also I wanted to bring up the fact that I have a joint account with one of my best friends. She's been my best buddy since we were in diapers and we both came up with the idea the other day, so if you're interested go and check us out. We're Supernaturaltwihards, but we haven't written or did anything yet so I'll maybe tell you guys when that happens. It's mostly going to be Twilight crossovers with shows like Supernatural and the Vampire Diaries. Also to the guest Lovetwilight, I do have plans for Masen and he won't get imprinted on by Leah because I just feel like all of the Cullen kids don't need imprints, well in my opinion. But I have something in stored for him. Anyway in the meantime be on the lookout for the next chapter and please review :)
