Rescue Me

(Masen's POV)

I hold tight to Lizzy's arm while we watch the wolves and two vampires surround our newfound shield. Seth, Colin, and Brady are all growling at them outside while we watched from inside the cabin. I look towards my little sister as she sends me a fearful expression. If we let up our shield that means we'll let our enemies in. That means, letting them have an easy win. I know she didn't want to risk it with Seth under our shield. Plus I didn't want to risk our safety.

We were pretty defenseless in here. I mean I had my power and Aidan has his, but we didn't exactly know how to control them well. We're working on that. Meanwhile Lily doesn't have a power she could use to defend herself and even though Lizzy has powers, she was still in the body of a baby. That wasn't going to do much. Our shield was the only option of protection right now and to be honest, I have no clue how we were doing this right now.

"What are we going to do? Wait for the parents to come?" Lily hissed, looking at us for answers.

"I guess we have to. If Lizzy and I let our shield down right now, Seth, Brady, and Colin will most likely get hurt," I said.

"I think I got an idea," Aidan muttered as he looked out one of the windows. I watch as he uses his telekinesis to try and knock down one of the trees. It falls down on one of the wolves but I don't think it did a lot of damage. I think it just pissed him off even more.

"Nice going Aide," Lily mumbled at her brother.

"Oh so you have a better idea, Polly Pocket," Aidan retorted bitterly. She just huffed and sat down on one of the musty old couches.

"Liz, just keep up with me and keep the shield up. Once Momma and Daddy, or one of our family members get here we can let it down, okay," I ordered my sister.

"Masen, what if we can't hold it that long? I'm getting tired and this is seriously draining energy from me," Lizzy said to me.

"I know you can do it. Come on, you're baby einstein. You can do anything a normal baby can't do, and that includes this. Now come on," I encouraged her. She sighed as we try to keep it up. The wolves still are growling at Lorenzo's goonies.

"Leave our kids alone!" I heard a voice growl. I looked out the window to see Aunt Rosalie growling and in attack position. Uncle Emmett, Aunt Alice, and Uncle Jasper are right behind her. They're all growling as well.

"Oh look, the back up," One of the vampires sneered as he turned away from Seth and the other wolves to face our family.

"I see you ran away from the others. I take it they beat you," Another one said with a big smirk on his face.

"Actually no, the rest of you are dead," Uncle Emmett remarked with an even bigger smirk. "Honestly, beating you guys was like taking candy from a baby." My uncle snickered causing the vampire to frown at him.

"Well you should have really gone with the others, Lorenzo is about to kill your niece any second now and once we're done with all of you we'll kill the rest." The vampire cackled. That's when I noticed my aunt make a very menacing growl that kind of scared me and the others.

"No one, and I mean no one, will murder my niece and take my children away from me. I already lost my chance to conceive a child, so these kids are everything to me," Aunt Rosalie stated icily.

"Look blondie, I don't give a crap about your life story," the vampire replied, crouching in an attack position.

"You didn't let me finish. You see, you're messing with the wrong momma bear and if you think you're going to win this, you're dead wrong!" Aunt Rosalie snarled as she lunged for him. I shield my eyes and Lizzy's as Aunt Rosalie goes to tear him apart. Lily shields her own eyes while Aidan looks at his mother in amazement.

"Go Momma!" Aidan cheered from the window. His fist bumping in the air.

"Aidan Matthew Hale don't you dare watch this!" Uncle Emmett scolded at his son as he went to go punch one of the vampires.

"Lizzy! Masen!" Aunt Alice yelled from outside of the cabin, "Put your shield up around the house and stay hidden!"

I nodded meekly as I pick up Lizzy and run with Lily and Aidan to hide in a cabinet under the sink. I heard lots of snarls and growls from outside. Lizzy whimpered in my arms as I hold tight to her. I cowered with Aidan and Lily as we crowded in the old cabinet. I try to keep the shield up with Lizzy, but I think my sister lost focus now that she's scared.

I then hear a crash through the window and peak through the crack to see one of the vampires had gotten in.

"Where are you kids?" he growled menacingly. He was walking all around the cabin, trying to scent us out.

That's when he stopped in the middle of the living room. I noticed he was trying to listen for us so I held my breath with the others. We waited there, hoping he wouldn't find us. Tears were leaking from my eyes as I mentally begged him not to find us.

That's when he tore the cabinet door open. We all screamed once his eyes laid on us. I immediately shielded the others, kicking my legs at him. I got him good in the face, but I don't think that would stop him.

"Oh! You brat!" He snarled at him.

He was ready to grab me, but that's when Seth then comes jumping through the window. My sister's imprint proceeds to grab him by the neck, dragging him out of the house. I hear the vampire scream and then there is nothing but pure silence. I smell the scent of burning wood and something else burning, but I don't really want to find out what it is.

Aunt Rosalie then came running in with Uncle Emmett moments later. Lily and Aidan jump for them and I watch as my aunt hugs tight to both of them.

"Thank god you're safe," Aunt Rose breathed in relief, holding them tight to her. My uncle then grabs the twins from her so she could walk over to my sister and I, "Lizzy, Masen. How are you two doing?"

"We're fine now," I breathe as I look to see a fire rising in the distance.

"I'm so glad you're all okay. We were so worried," Aunt Rose said, picking Lizzy and I up in her arms. I hugged tightly to my aunt, burying my face in her shoulder.

"Masen kicked the vamp in the face, you should have seen it. It was awesome!" Aidan boomed excitedly from my uncle's arms.

"Wow, looks like we got another fighter in the family," My uncle quirkily remarked.

"Rose! Emmett!" Aunt Alice yelled out as she came running over to us with Uncle Jasper. "We're going to help Bella, Edward, Jake, and Quil get Renesmee back. Bring the kids back home! Now!"

"Alright," Aunt Rose replied. Lizzy curled into my aunt's arm while Lily took her mother's other arm. Meanwhile Aidan and I both climbed onto Uncle Emmett's biceps, ready for the ride back home.

"Hold on kids," Uncle Emmett told us, chuckling as Aidan and I got settled.

"What about Nessie?" I questioned before we could head home.

"Yeah! Is Ness gonna be okay?" Lily asked with fright clearly in her voice.

"She'll be okay, don't worry babies. Your parents, and Jacob will bring her back. Don't worry," Aunt Rosalie said in a reassuring tone, but I could tell my aunt was doubting herself a bit.

"But Lorenzo! What if he kills her?" Aidan questioned fearfully. Lizzy began to whimper, and soon enough burst out into tears.

"Awww Lizzy girl, don't cry," Aunt Rosalie shushed her. Once Lily began to cry then the rest of us started to after that. I had my face buried into my uncle's side as he tried to tell us jokes to make us laugh. I couldn't though. My sister was in danger and I felt awful.

Seth came up to Aunt Rose's leg and motioned for Lizzy. Aunt Rosalie frowned a bit as she lowered down for Lizzy to see Seth.

Lizzy goes to rub her face in Seth's fur and he goes to rub his nose against her cheek. She cheers up a bit after Aunt Rosalie lifts her up from her imprint.

"Great, now I smell of dog." I couldn't help but chuckle at my aunts thoughts.

"Come on kiddos, everything is going to be fine. We should get back to the others," Uncle Emmett announced. We all nod, including the wolves, as we rush back to the home. When we arrive Grandma Esme was the first to greet us.

"Any news from Eddie or Bella?" Uncle Emmett asked her as they passed us off to her. "Rose and I are thinking about going back there to help them. Jasper and Alice went to help, but they might need backup."

"You should, they might be in trouble. Go! Don't worry I have the kids here and they'll be safe. I'll just get them cleaned up," Grandma ordered. Uncle Emmett and Aunt Rose nodded. Before leaving they gave us each a kiss on the top of the head, and then they were gone.

"Come on kids, let's get you all cleaned up," Grandma said as she scooped Lizzy in her arms. Lily held her hand as Aidan and I followed from behind.

"You think Ness will be safe?" Aidan asked me quietly so the girls couldn't hear us.

"I'm sure she will. She has Jacob and my parents to help her. And I'm sure Jacob isn't going to let this guy go too easily," I told him confidently. I nervously bit my lip though. I don't know if my sister is alive or not honestly. But I have this gut feeling telling me that she's alright.

Once we're cleaned off we head out to the living room. There I see Ethan is laying on our couch. He looked to be exhausted.

"Are you okay, Ethan?" I asked him as we approach him.

"Yeah I'm fine. It's just my shield can cause me pain at times," He explained as he sat up from the couch. "How are you guys?"

"Lizzy and Masen made a big shield today! It blocked the bad guys from coming in!" Lily exclaimed, telling him the news.

"Really?" He questioned inquisitively as he turned towards Lizzy and I.

"Yeah, it's like our powers connected somehow," I explained to him.

"That's interesting...I was actually thinking about this not too long ago," Ethan mentioned. "It could have to do with Masen being born."

"What do you mean?" I asked him, raising my eyebrows.

"Well you were born at the time when you're family needed you the most. I didn't realize this but maybe that's why my brother was born, possibly. I'm not sure. It's just a theory," He muttered.

All of a sudden there was a bunch of commotion going on through our house. I heard my grandfather talking to my father but I couldn't make out what they were saying. My parent's minds were all over the place and so was everyone else's. That's when I heard footsteps scurry towards us. I looked up to see my grandmother with a frantic look on her face.

"Ethan! Seth! Take the kids upstairs now and keep them there!" Grandma Esme hollered as she entered the room with Seth following. I watched as Seth went to pick up my sister and Aidan while Grandma went to go scoop Lily and I up. Ethan was right behind, ushering for us to go up the stairs.

"What's going on?" I asked her, trying to peak over my grandmother's shoulders.

"Nothing, come on kids. Everything is going to be fine, I promise," She said, but I could tell my grandmother was freaking out about something.

"I can't let them see Nessie- Masen Anthony and Elizabelle Rosemary you better not be reading my mind."

I give her a sheepish smile and so does my sister, but I'm worried. My sister is in trouble. Soon the stench of blood filled my nose and I twitch a little. I look towards Lizzy for guidance, but she shrugs. When I turned around to look over my grandmother's shoulder to see what it was, I could see what grandma was talking about when she said she didn't want us to see Nessie.

"No!" I breathe seeing my big sister. "NESSIE!" I cried out. No. This isn't happening. This isn't happening.
