Sorry that I haven't updated in a while, I have 8 open documents at the moment so juggling all of those ( my muse is really messed up) and life got a bit messy. I'm not 100% happy with this chapter, but i tweaked it so many times that I thought I'd just see what you guys think...

Catherine set down her cup of coffee before speaking. "Listen Greg. I didn't call you here for a chat for old time's sake; I think you know why you're here."

"I know. I just… I don't know where to begin."

"How about..." She paused for dramatic effect before losing her temper slightly, "Who the hell was that woman at your house 2 days ago!"

"Okay, well her name is Rebecca."

There was a knock at the door and Greg stood to go and open it. Much to his surprise Morgan was standing in his porch fiddling with her hair. "Morgan!" He exclaimed.

"Hey, can we talk?" She asked

"Well, now isn't…"

"Greg honey. Who is it?" A female voice called. She popped her head around the door to see who had come to visit.

"Morgan! This isn't what it looks like…" He followed her down the drive but he knew she wasn't interesting in hearing what her had to say. "Morgan, please!" But with that she drove off. He stood watching her drive off and contemplated following her. He turned around and headed back indoors.

"Greg… Why didn't you go after her?"

"She probably wants some space."

"Never stopped you before." She said, punctuating the statement with a playful wink.

"I know Becca, but, Morgan's different."

"Different? In what way?"

"She's strong, independent, she's a fighter. Plus I don't want to ruin what we have. We gave it a go but we've been spending less and less time together lately, and I just feel as though we may have ruined our friendship."

"But…"

"I still want more, I still feel as if we could have something more."

"You love her don't you?"

"Becca… I… you're my best friend, almost like my sister and so you're kind of stuck with me. We've know each other for so long. Morgan. See I haven't known her for very long, and I don't want to have screwed anything up."

"So what now?"

"We'll be friends, I still like her she's a great person."

"Friends. Greg, In your line of work anything could happen at any time. If something happens to her, you're just going to let her be the one that got away?"

"I'd rather that than spend my life without her."

"You Greg Sanders are a fool. I thought you were a genius, for a very long time. I guess I was wrong."

"What?" Greg was truly confused by this point.

"I saw the way she looked at you, heck I'm sure everyone sees it but you. I saw the pain in her eyes when she got into her car and left. I have no idea why on earth you're sitting here with me right now."

"I'm scared. Terrified, of what will happen if something goes wrong."

"Cath. What does Morgan think of me?"

"It's not my place to tell you that Greg. Go and talk to her. Morgan's a great girl, you two will work something out."

"What if she doesn't feel the same way I feel?"

"How do you feel?"

"I… I don't know."

"I think you do. Don't doubt yourself Greg." That was Catherine's cue to leave. She had said what she had needed to say, and was satisfied that Greg understood what he needed to do.

Morgan entered her apartment and looked around her living area. There weren't any signs of anything having been disturbed so she headed around the rest of the apartment. She cleared each room one by one. Satisfied she finally went to her bedroom, she was met by a familiar face.

"Ellie?"

Greg pulled up outside Morgan's building; he waited in the car for a couple of minutes so that he had time to prepare himself for what would happen next. He walked up the stairs and found the door to Morgan's apartment was ajar. He pushed the door open but couldn't see any lights on.

"Morgan! Morgan are you home?"

There was no response so he wandered round her apartment to find all the rooms empty.

SO... what do you think of Rebecca? And I brought in a familiar face, I wouldn't really say friendly ( not after the last encounter between her and Morgan) But Ellie's here... good plot twist? or bad plot twist? Let me know what you think :)
