Morgan returned with the evidence that Ellie had wanted her to collect. After hearing Catherine's voice on the other end of the phone line telling her to let her die she knew she couldn't let the older woman sacrifice herself. She walked up to the car and Ellie rolled down the window. The sun had begun to set and Morgan knew that the pair would make their getaway come night fall. She passed Ellie the bags of evidence which were then passed into the back seat. Once it Ellie confirmed that all that she had asked for was in fact in the bags Morgan had delivered she nodded to the blonde.
"Where's Catherine?!" She asked, angry, she needed to know that the red head was safe. After all she had just risked her entire life's work to save her. She heard the trunk of the car pop open so she ran round to the back. Sure enough the red head was sat, bound and gagged, in the trunk of the car. She quickly untied her and helped her out of the car. Morgan rushed to the front of the car after realizing that Ellie had also made threats against Greg.
"Is Greg safe?"
"Yes, we didn't touch your boyfriend. We simply needed a favor and since you played by our rules you're free to go. Don't forget to say hi to my dad for me." Ellie shot Morgan a sly smile.
She stepped back to check on Catherine. They both then heard the trunk close and turned around to see the car speeding off.
"Cath, are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine, thank you. I told you not to rescue me."
"Cath, come on… I couldn't just leave you to die."
"Well, thank you Morgan. You know you could lose your job because of this."
"I know, but I can find another job; I couldn't replace you. Now come on, let's get home."
"I need to go back to work, but you can go and pick up your things and then head back to my place if you'd like…"
"Thanks."
"Consider it a thank you for saving my life." She winked at the blonde before heading towards a black truck which had pulled up outside the lab. "See you later Morgan." And with that she was gone.
Morgan went to get a cab to take her back to her apartment.
She arrived at the building and then realized that she didn't have her house keys on her. She walked down the stairs and knocked on the office door of her building manager. She retrieved the key and promised to return it later on. She headed back upstairs to her apartment and unlocked the door. She dropped the key into the bowl which she kept by the door and closed the door behind her before realizing that the room was dimly lit; she turned and saw a shadowed figure in the middle of the room…
I'm sorry if you wanted to see Ellie torture Morgan more, but I couldn't bring myself to write that, so i skipped ahead a bit... anyways hope y'all liked it... let me know
