"It is sure delightful news that you are expecting a second pup Inuyasha-sama," Myoga said, taking a sip out of his tea with a pleased look on his face.

The said half demon nodded at his vassal's words, currently sitting against the wall of his home watching his wife and son, and also studying his sword.

It has been a long time since a demon attack and it worried the hell out of him. He did a side glance towards the door and window before continuing on examining one of his most prized possessions.

Kagome sat down and ran her fingers through her son's hair. She hasn't noticed before, or she must've thought about it before, but it slipped her mind.

The young priestess gazed over to her husband who was staring at his the sheath of his sword. The time that he most hated would soon be arriving in a few hours after sunset.

"Papa looks angry," Makoto said, twitching an ear in hearing his mother's laugh. It had also caused Inuyasha to glimpse at the her then cross his arms with a frown on his face.

"Oh don't look so defeated, it isn't like you can't protect me in your human form. Besides I am not so weak as I was a few years ago," Kagome told him.

Inuyasha keh'd with the roll of his eyes,"I didn't say you were weak woman. You were never weak back then and aren't now, I just don't want to leave you unprotected."

"I'll protect mama!" Makoto declared, raising a tiny outstretched hand in the air, then grinning from ear to ear.

Inuyasha smirked at his son's announcement,"Well to protect your mama you have to be strong and you will be when you're older, with training of course."

Makoto blinked various times before looking at his father, he tilted his head to the side,"But I am strong papa," he turned around to face his mother,"Right mama?"

Kagome smiled and kissed her son's forehead,"Yes that's right, you are my mighty little baby boy."

Makoto grinned then it formed into a scowl much like his father's,"I'm not a baby mama. I'm a big boy!" He puffed his chest in pride and joy.

"It would seem that Makoto-sama is getting stronger and Inuyasha-sama would have to soon train him how to fight," Myoga said, sitting on his lord's shoulder with closed eyes and four arms crossed, shaking his head in agreement to what he had told the family.

At the words of his name and 'soon to be trained' Makoto got off of his mother's lap and jumped excitedly,"Can we start papa?"

Inuyasha smiled, as much as he wanted to, he knew Kagome wouldn't let him learn how to fight until he was old enough. "Makoto, you are still too young maybe when your three-" he was 'ahem'ed by Kagome shooting him a look.

"Four-" another sound came from his wife and he frowned. "Five and that is as high as I'll go," he said partially to both his son and wife.

Kagome thought about it and sighed,"Alright when he is five years old. But I'm still worried that he'll get hurt."

"I won't let anything happen to him Kagome, you know that," Inuyasha told her. Kagome nodded, she knew that if any danger would ever harm the two of them, Inuyasha would be there to protect them.

Myoga smiled at the words of his lord, knowing that if the master was present he would be very proud of his son. The old flea glanced at his lord's son, he could tell that from the boy's protectiveness over his mother and pride of his father, young Makoto would possibly be stronger than his father.

"Inu-" the sun had completely set and the moon rose well it would have been visible, but that day was the day of a new moon. The time where Inuyasha would lose his demonic powers. In this case, both father and son turned human on that time of the month.

Makoto felt a funny change in him, he felt frail if he wasn't in his mother's arms at the moment, he would've felt like a rag doll. He didn't know why he felt that way and gazing over his father, he had seen his father transform many times, and his mother had told him that it was the only night where he would be a human.

The young inu-hanyou could admit one thing, he did not like the moonless night. He now understood why his father was so…Makoto began to recall a time where his mother said his father was so edgy when this day like today, would get closer.

Makoto stared at his normal human hands, he wrinkled his nose and studied his clawless hands. He moved his hands over to the top of his head. The young inu-hanyou was bothered by the fact that his dog ears were replaced by regular human ears.

"Sweety?" Makoto heard his mother say, it would've been a whisper if he hadn't been sitting in her lap. Kagome stared at her son, she was worried about him, he hasn't said anything other than gaze at the transformation that had happened.

"Don't worry about it so much pup, you'll get use to it soon," Inuyasha said, grabbing his sword, placing it by the door and then walking over to his family.

Myoga had explained to the both of them that the first transformation of a half demon would occur a year after its birth.

. What was stunning about his son's transformation into a human, Makoto's eyes changed from blue to golden-brown. Kagome smiled as her son continued on marveling the change. She rested a hand on her stomach awaiting for the second child.

Her thoughts of their second child were broken when she chuckled at the sentence her son had said. He was just like his father, no surprise there.

"Papa, I feel weak," Makoto said, with a frown on his face. He officially hated the transformation, yet he'd have to get use to it because it was a part of him that marked him as something different. A good different.

"I know how you feel," Inuyasha said, waiting for the moonless night to come to an end. Makoto yawned, he liked it better when he was a half demon, he had never felt this tired.

Kagome smiled warmly when she noticed him sleeping in her lap. Inuyasha went over to place his son in the futon.

"For his first transformation young Makoto had taken it pretty well," Myoga said, noticing the boy stir, once placed in the sofa bed.

Inuyasha nodded, his son had something that he had never had. A father to protect him on the night of his weakness.
