Chaos with a touch of Stealth
-Chapter Seventeen-
"It's time to get go Gaige"
"What are you talking about Krieg, It's my turn"
"You slept all night"
"Wait what? Why did you let me sleep all night?"
"You needed it more than I did. Don't worry about me"
"Fine, but I take the whole night tonight"
"Ha I don't think so and well today we reach sanctuary. We will be there before dark"
"Were that close now!"
"Yeah"
"We only had to make it just a little farther….but…"
"But are luck ran out. I know. Let's go"
"Ok"
Krieg and Gaige packed up their camp and started to make the final stretch of their journey. Two hours into the walk Gaige started to slow down and drag her feet.
(She's falling behind)
"So, she will catch up"
(She's not ok Krieg, she needs help, go talk to her)
"At her rate we won't reach Sanctuary today"
(That's ok Krieg)
"Too many delays"
(Do it for Zero)
"Fine"
Krieg stopped and waited for Gaige to catch up to him.
"You ok Robo-girl"
"Yeah. I'm…"
Gaige collapsed into the snow. Face planting into a chunk of ice.
(Shit)
"Well this is great. What am I supposed to do about this?"
"Keep walking. I'll handle her"
"WHAT THE FUCK?! YOU TALK DEATH CRAP!"
"Indeed"
"WHY YOU NOT TALK BEFORE"
"I am designed to serve and protect"
"Sooooo?"
"I only talk when necessary"
"Good to know"
Death trap grabbed Gaige and threw her over its metal shoulder
"Let's continue, she requires medical attention"
"And you and all your technology can't do that"
"No"
"Very well let's continue"
Death trap started towards Sanctuary at a fast rate forcing Krieg into a run to keep up.
(Well this was unexpected)
"He's too fast, I can't keep this up"
(I thought you wanted to go faster)
"Not what I meant"
They continued at this rate for four more hours before they were within sight of the gates to Sanctuary.
"We actually made it."
(I was starting to doubt we were ever going to get here)
"We must hurry"
"Yes, let's get to Sanctuary"
They walked up to the gates when a voice came out of an intercom
"Get out of here bandit scum"
Krieg looked at the intercom.
"Were not bandits"
"Really and why should I believe you?"
"Would a bandit come to the gate with a robot and an unconscious girl needing medical aid and ask politely to come in"
"You never asked politely"
"PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR BEFORE I RIP IT DOWN MYSELF"
"Ok ok ok one minute"
The gate opened up and on the other side eight crimson lancers stood waiting guns raised. They charged and went to grab their weapons.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
Krieg raised his axe defensively and Death trap realized the claws on his free arm. The man in the back answered.
"I am We spoke on the intercom, if what you say is true and she really needs medical aid you will hand over your weapons"
(Do it Krieg)
"Fine"
Krieg handed over his axe and Death Trap put his claws back into his hand.
"Now come with me, I'll bring you to the doctor"
They followed the captain throughout the streets until they reached a door to a small house.
"I should warn you are doctor doesn't exactly have a medical license, but you won't find anyone better in sanctuary"
"Ok…?"
The captain opened the door and they walked in
" we need your help"
"How can I be of assistance?"
"This girl is in need of aid"
"I see. Put her on the table over here. Who speaks for this girl?"
"I do"
"I see. Well legally I am required to tell you that I don't have a medical license, but who needs that when you got style"
"Save her or I will personally kill you"
"Umm…captain standing right here psycho"
"Don't worry about it captain people always threaten me when someone they care about is injured and is lying on my table. Now if you two will excuse me I have some work to do"
