Baby's First

"Well?" Inuyasha asked Kaede as he stood behind the elder miko with his arms crossed.
"Ay, the child is indeed sick Inuyasha," Kaede said, placing a damp towel on the young inu-hanyou's forehead.
"Oh my poor baby," Kagome murmured, running her hands in her sons hair. Even if the child did have demon blood, there would be one point that he would eventually catch a cold.
"I don't like being sick," Makoto muttered, spirals were in his eyes as he drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
Kagome heard the shuffling of feet heading to the door,"Where are you going?" she question her husband as he lifted the bamboo door up, half outside and inside. He smirked at her,"Just getting something to bring his cold down."
Kagome nodded and she looked back at her son. "Ye shall not worry Kagome, Makoto is a strong boy," Kaede informed her. Kagome gave her mentor a smile,"He's stubborn like his father and proud like him as well. I never thought it'll take an hour for him to finally take that herbal tea."
"Indeed child," Kaede agreed with her pupil. Rin walked into the hut with some more herbs for Kaede to grind and use them in the tea for the young boy.
Miroku walked around the outskirts of the village. "Ah look Haruka, it's Inu-oji-san!" Sakura shouted.
The second daughter of Miroku and Sango looked toward the entrance of the village to see the 'doggy-man' run out.
"Inu-oji-san!" she squealed in delight.
Inuyasha smirked and skidded to a stop,"Hey girls. Hey kiddo," Inuyasha said to the twins and Tadashi who reached up to him.
"Where are you going in such a hurry? Is Kagome having the baby yet?" Miroku asked his friend.
"No and just getting some ingredients for a medicine for Makoto. He came down with a cold and I won't stand around and watch him get worse," Inuyasha answered.
With that said, the Inu-hanyou took off once more, leaving a small cloud of dust in his wake.
"Inuyasha knows how to make a medicine tea?" Miroku wondered to himself.
"Mama, where's papa?" Makoto asked, waking up from his short nap and turning his head to his mother.
Kagome brushed his bangs away from his eyes,"He'll be here soon, he just went to get something sweety."
Makoto nodded and let out a harsh cough. Kagome's eyes filled with worry and she looked up at Kaede. "Isn't there anything else we can give him?"
"Nay child, if I give him anything else, young Makoto would be even worse than he already is. This is as much as I can give him to get better. Can you please sit him up so we can feed him some soup."
Kagome did as she was told and slowly sat Makoto up straight. The young boy groaned and his eyelids drooped.
"Perfect," Inuyasha had all the things he need and in the knick of time, he turned back and ran to his home.
Kagome fed the last spoonful of soup and rubbed her sons back soothingly,"There, are you feeling better?"
Makoto raised his head a little and groaned. Kagome's shoulders slumped,"I guess not."
The door flapped open and Kaede and Kagome noticed Inuyasha with a whole basket full of animals and medicinal herbs.
"What do you have there?" Kagome asked curiously, noticing her husband place it on the ground and start digging around it.
"Just some stuff for Makoto, boar liver, chicken liver and other things. It'll make him feel better. It'll be made the same way like last time, which would help him get healthier faster," Inuyasha told her.
"W-Wait a minute, like last time?" Kagome asked, she did not like the sound of those words. She wrinkled her nose in disgust.
Inuyasha froze and he stuttered,"W-Well yeah, I..um, gave it to you when you had that cold, remember?" Kagome gasped and she placed her hands on her cheeks, it was when she had to take that test.
"So that tea had," she squeaked the next part,"Liver of demons and s-snakes?!"
Inuyasha didn't know which was worse, having the beads placed on him again only for a short while or facing Kagome's fury. He choose the second one, hell has no fury than a woman's scorn.
Inuyasha nodded at her question.
Kagome covered her mouth,"I think I'm going to be sick."
Makoto scrunched his nose when the tea was being made,"It stinks," he muttered under his breath.
"Well ya have to drink it pup, don't you want to play outside tomorrow with Shippo and the children?" Inuyasha said, cleaning his hands from the blood to fix up the tea.
Kagome grimaced, she couldn't believe that her husband never told her about the ingredients that were in the tea, it was no wonder that Souta shook his head madly when she had asked the question.
"Inuyasha, were you ever planning on telling me what was in the tea?" she asked in a serious tone.
Inuyasha's ears drooped back, he wasn't planning to, he never thought that he'd have to make it again. Luck surely wasn't on his side that day.
"So you weren't, were you!?" Kagome shouted angrily.
Inuyasha backed up only a fraction and was caught off guard when she began to cry. "W-Why are you crying?" he asked her.
"Why weren't you going to tell me," she cried into her hands.
What was it those things that she had told him when she was pregnant with Makoto? Inuyasha winced, her hormones were crazy when she was pregnant with Makoto and now with their second child, he was terrified.
"I didn't think I needed to," he said, which were the wrong choice of words.
"Oh really?! Kaede-sama, where are the beads?" Kagome asked.
"No no! Not the beads again! Kagome, don't!" Inuyasha panicked, he certainly didn't want to get sat into infinity when their pup was due any time.
Makoto watched in the sidelines while his father tried helplessly to calm down his mother, he laughed to himself and then pondered on what were the beads?
His question was then answered when his mother had placed something over his father's head, saying one word, and watching him crash down to the floor.
Makoto covered his eyes,"Mama is scary."
Inuyasha sighed into the floor,"No kidding."

I hope you guys liked it, thank you for reading! Don't worry, Inuyasha won't have the beads of subjugation on forever, that's if you guys want them to stay on lol.
