Baby's First

Author's Note

It's here! The chapter that you've been waiting for, the birth! I hope you enjoy it!

Kagome smiled, staring down at her protruding stomach. "I can't wait for you to finally come," she whispered, rubbing her stomach affectionately.

"So can't I," Inuyasha walked behind her, wrapping his arms around her, placing his hands over her hands and his chin on her shoulder.

Makoto had seized desisted in say foul words when ever he would hurt himself or get upset at anything. He had been waiting patiently every day for his sibling to arrive.

He had been thinking of how it would be like to be a big brother. He knew that Sakura and Haruka were excited when Keiji was born, they were so loud when they first saw him.

Makoto wondered on how his sibling would look like, would he or she have black hair like his mother or white hair like his father. What about the eyes? Was he even ready to be a big brother?

He had noticed that Sango had placed more attention on the youngest members of her family and Miroku watched over the twins. Would his mother divert her attention to his sibling?

The young Inu-hanyou sighed, while watching the clouds above form shapes in the sky. He had a funny feeling, it wasn't bad, just a tingling sensation in his stomach, making him know that something was bound to happen soon.

Kagome felt a change over the past week and she knew that the baby was coming soon. She slowly unwrapped herself from Inuyasha's arms, she was greeted by a unpleasant smile that soon changed into his usual smirk, Kagome smiled to herself and walked into their home.

Inuyasha watched her go and then walked casually to his son,"Hey pup, watcha doing?" he asked.

"Waiting," Makoto answered his father, sitting up from is laid back position.

Inuyasha sat down next to him and patted his son softly on the back,"You've been acting weird lately Makoto. Is it because of the pup your mama is having?"

His son shook his head and twiddled with his thumbs,"Noo….," he remarked in a low whisper. He stared up at his father,"Will I be a good big brother?"

Inuyasha smirked and picked up his son, placing him on his lap,"Keh, of course you'll be, why wouldn't you?"

Makoto was about to answer when he heard his mother scream out for his father. His ears twitched at the shout and he got up,"Papa."

Inuyasha stood up, with his son in his arms at that moment, dashing over to the hut.

"Kagome!" Inuyasha shouted, his heart beating rapidly in his chest. He noticed her holding onto her stomach and breathing heavily.

"Please…get Kaede-sama, now," she said under her breath, but her eyes were pleading for help.

Inuyasha settled Makoto down, he couldn't send Makoto to get the elderly woman. "Otou! Okaa? Where is- ack!"

Inuyasha had smelt the kit coming to the door and before Shippo could take a step out, he took him by his tail and brought him to his face.

Shippo gulped and wondered what he did wrong. "Get Kaede-baba, Kagome's having the pup," Inuyasha informed him.

Emerald eyes widened and the kit nodded at his adopted father's words,"Right, you can count on me."

Kagome was placed on a chair, with her husbands help. She glared at him,"You did this to me."

He had never seen fire burn so deadly in her eyes, if he were to have a tail, it could've gone in between his legs. He remembered that he still had the beads on him. Damn it! He inwardly cursed. "K-Kagome, maybe you should-"

"SIT BOY! YOU ARE TRYING TO KILL ME! SIIITTTT!" Kagome shouted, her anger building up every second that passed.

Makoto watched his father get slammed into the ground, but not so hard that it could hurt him.

Kagome gasped and began to cry,"I'm so sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Let me - Ah! I'm going to kill you, you -"

"Kagome-chan," Kaede walked, rather quickly with the items she needed to help her pupil relax. Upon noticing the elderly priestess, Kagome sighed in relief and arched her head back,"Thank goodness."

Kaede walked around the face-planted on the ground, Inuyasha who was groaning at the commands.

"Come Makoto," Rin ushered the young boy out," Your Okaa-san will be alright, she's having your sibling. You can wait out here with Shippo and the others." Rin gave the Inu-hanyou child a smile then walked back into the hut.

"Inuyasha, I'm sorry, let me take them off you so that I won't s-i-t you so much," Kagome said, now being moved to the futon Kaede had brought with her. Sango walked into the hut and placed blankets around Kagome to make her feel as comfortable as she could.

Inuyasha reluctantly got up and his wife took off the beads before the serene sparkle in her eyes had changed.

"Push, you're doing great, keep pushing I'm right here-"

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO! SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT!" Kagome snapped at her husband and went back to screaming bloody hell.

Inuyasha's ears pinned to his head, afraid of his wife's temper, he knew that she was soon going to feel guilt over the words she would say.

"Ye are doing great Kagome, one final push and the pup will arrive," Kaede said.

Makoto's ears drooped, his mother was in pain, wasn't his father going to help her?

"Your mother was like this when she had you," Miroku told him, hearing the whimpers that the young Inu-hanyou emitted.

Makoto slightly smiled at the monk and promptly got up when he heard a shrilling cry sprung out in the night. That was...

"We are big brothers!" Shippo got up, accidentally dropping Makoto on the ground.

Big brother, Makoto thought, completely dismissing on the hit on the ground, the thought of him being a big brother frightened him. But, then a smile crept on his face, I'm a big brother now.

Kagome smiled down at the newborn in her arms, her daughter. She and Inuyasha had a daughter. "Look she has your hair and cute little dog ears," Kagome noticed the small appendages on the crown of their daughter's head.

The newborn had a truffle of white hair, her white Inu-ears with black tips on them, she still hasn't opened her eyes.

"I see," Inuyasha said, smiling down at his daughter, he lifted a clawed finger near her and tiny fingers wrapped around his forefinger.

Kagome laughed and placed her head on his shoulder,"Where's Makoto?"

Inuyasha gazed at Rin who nodded, the thirteen year old walked out and called the young boy.

Makoto cautiously walked into his home, noticing his mother and father by the futon and a little bundle in his mother's arms.

"C'mon pup, someone wants to meet ya," Inuyasha said, urging him to them.

Makoto slowly strolled to them and went to his mother's left side, his father on her right. It's so pink and her cheeks are rosy like mama's and squishy looking, he thought.

"Pup is so little," Makoto commented, brushing a strand of white hair out from the baby's face.

Kagome laughed and nodded,"Yes you were that small when you were born. How does it feel to be a big brother?"

Makoto smiled broadly and gazed up from his sibling to his mother,"I don't know, but I love her! And I'm going to protect her too, just like how daddy protects you mama."

"I know you will," Kagome said, staring at her children.

"She looks like a little angel mama. What are you going to name her?" Makoto asked, he tilted his head to the side to wait for a response.

Kagome thought and looked at her husband. "If we had a boy, we would've called him InuDai, but if it was a girl, we would call her Kisara."

Makoto scrunched his nose, Ki-Sa-Ra, hearing the name and having it repeat in his head, he liked how it sounded. Makoto nodded vigorously at the name that was given to his sister. The newborn girl sniffed at the new scent and recognizing her family members. Then she started to open her eyes, revealing majestic blue just like her mother and brother.

"Hello Kisara, I'm your big brother Makoto. I love you very very much," Makoto said, noticing his sister staring up at him. She babbled and fixed her eyes on her brother.

Inuyasha smirked as he watched his son meet his sister for the first time, and they were going to get along fine…hopefully.

Author's Note

I am hesitant on seeing if I should write on Makoto's little sister having her firsts, it may be too repetitive, but if you guys want me to do it, I could. I'll try to sway away from them being to close to Makoto's first. How did you guys like this chapter, I hope I met your expectations.
