Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own Makoto and Kisara.

"Snow," Makoto watched in fascination as the snow stuck to the ground. He reached out to catch those so called 'snowflakes' that his mother told him about. Makoto shivered when snowflakes had fallen by his sensitive ears. Irritated, he flicked it off and growled in annoyance.
"Pup, your Okaa-san wouldn't like you to be outside without sandals or outside at all, you know better," Inuyasha said, walking up beside his son with a stern look. Makoto looked up at his father and nodded.
The two of them walked into the hut and Makoto took off his straw sandals, and placed them near the door. "Mama!" Makoto called out.
"Ah!" a little girl with long silver hair cried out in content, she crawled around the hut's floor. She sat up when she noticed her older brother. The little four month year old girl clenched and unclenched her hand in her brother's direction, letting out a grunt and then focused on her hands.
Kagome walked out of the room, wiping hands off together and smiled at her husband. "How is it outside?"
Makoto choose to answer,"Cold mama! It's very coooo-ld," putting an emphasize in the word cold. Kagome nodded,"I see, would you like some tea then?"
Makoto pursed his lips and thought before eagerly nodding away, he rushed over to his little sister to play with her.
Kisara looked up at her brother and pulled on his sleeve. Makoto smiled and placed his hand in the air, stretched out and contently watched his sister place her hand on his.
Her dog ears twitched at his laughter and her eyes widened, then she patted his hand playfully.
Inuyasha wrapped his arms around his wife and buried his nose in her hair. "How was your day with the pups?" he asked.
Kagome turned her head over and smiled,"Fine, Kisara sleep mostly throughout the day and Makoto has been constantly going outside ever since it began to snow." She began to serve the tea she had made moments earlier when her husband finally arrived. "Did you go with Miroku and did what Kaede-baa-chan requested?"
"Ah, we built the huts for the villagers, it was a good thing to do before it began to snow so much," Inuyasha told her, moving away and went to sit against the wall of their home.
Kisara noticed her father sit down and she grunted to get his attention.
and watched his daughter crawl over to him.
Kisara reached her father and patted his knee, letting out occasional 'ah's and babbles. She placed her head down and smiled to herself looking over at her mother who beamed in her direction.
Makoto sneakily left the room into his parent's bedroom and smiled when he noticed his father's sword. He has seen his father use it in battle and he'd await the day when he'd be able to use his sword.
"Oi," the young Inu-HanyĆ heard and turned his head over to see his father standing by the door with his arms folded across his chest. "Papa, when can I use tetsusaiga?" Makoto asked.
Inuyasha smirked and knelt beside his son,"When your okaa-san says so."
His son's brows furrowed,"But mama won't let me." Inuyasha shook his head,"Keh, don't worry your Okaa-san will let you, but not anytime soon. She's afraid you'll blow up the house."
Makoto laughed,"Like you did once." Inuyasha chuckled,"Ah."
"Makoto, Inuyasha!" Kagome called from the other room,"Aren't you going to drink tea?"
"C'mon pup," Inuyasha picked him up and walked out of the room with a smirk on his face. Kagome smiled at them and gave a small cup to her son once he was settled down next to his sister. Then, she gave a cup of tea to her husband and sat beside him, and placing her head on his shoulder.
Kisara observed her brother as he drank his tea quickly and jumped to his feet. "Mama, I'm going to catch those snowflakes now," Makoto said, running to the door and slipping his shoes on and sliding the shoji door open.
"Makoto, you should wear this!" Kagome shouted, quickly getting up and running to her bedroom and then out with a purple scarf in her hand.
"What is it mama?" Makoto investigated the object she had. Kagome smiled,"It's a scarf. It was something I had, but it'll help you in the cold. Just don't go far from the hut, stay where your father and I could hear you."
Makoto nodded and hastily got the item and Kagome placed it around his neck. He pulled on it and smiled at his mother, quickly giving her a hug and running out.
"Where'd you get that?" Inuyasha asked her. Kagome settled by his side once more and his arms encircled around her shoulders. "Kaede-baa-chan gave it to me, she said I must have left it when I was here three years ago."
Inuyasha thought long and hard before he remembered,"Ah, it was when you got the runt that wooden board thing." Kagome nodded,"Yup, Shippo loved the sled," she tapped her chin,"I don't think we have it here though. Makoto would've like to use it."
"We could always make one of em'," Inuyasha told her. Kagome smiled,"I guess so."
Kisara quietly crawled towards the open shoji door and stuck her head out. She shook her head in a dog-kind of way when the cold breeze touched her skin.
Makoto patted at the snow when he managed to make the bottom part of the 'man made of snow' that his mother had said and showed him to do. It was faint, but he smelt his sister's scent behind him and he turned his head over his shoulder to see that it was Kisara going over to him. He would've rushed over to her when he knew that the porch that she walked on was only a few inches above the snow.
He began to burst out in laughter when he watched his sister head dive into the snow once she fell off it. Kisara poked her head out from the snow and began to wail.
White dog ears pinned down his head upon hearing his little sister cry. "K-Kisara," Makoto walked to his sister and reached to pick her up. The poor girl cried, but they soon subsided as she was in her brother's arms. In a way for payback, Kisara lifted her tiny hand and tugged harshly on his long hair.
"Ow!" Makoto yelped, he held his sister tightly, afraid that he'd drop her. "Mama! Papa!"
"Makoto!" Kagome ran out the hut, seeing her daughter have tears trailing down her cheeks. Inuyasha followed suit and picked up his children. Having Makoto in one arm and passing Kisara over to his wife with the other.
"It wasn't my fault," Makoto declared, he held onto his father's robe of the fire rat and snuggled closer for warmth. It was getting colder now that it was getting closer to midnight.
Kagome sighed,"Alright," she placed her daughter by her shoulder, putting a hand on her back and making soothing circles. Kisara clung to her mother's kosode and buried her nose in the crook of her neck.
"Let's get you pups inside," Inuyasha said, putting a hand on his son's back, he felt the boy shiver from the cold and he too sighed.
"I bet after this, Kisara won't like to play in the snow," Kagome said. Inuyasha smirked,"Keh. I bet."
Authors Note
I hope you guys liked this one. I'm sorry for having this chapter delayed, I was quite busy and I left to my parent's country to celebrate Christmas with the family. I was happy when I found that my aunt even watched the show. So now I'll be watching it with her. Hehe!
Thanks Goes To:
