Inuyasha had his hands balled into his fists, angered noticeable from a human's eye, and he was angrier than never before. I'll kill him. I'll track him down and kill him if he did anything.
He charged into the forest, following the scent trail of his children, it lead him deeper and deeper. As he went in farther in the forest, the more enraged he became.
He took a swift jump into the air, using all his strength to shoot up into the trees and jumped from branch to branch. He landed on top of a high tree where he began to smell the air, and smelt the nervousness and fear that traced around the area.
"Damn it," he growled, teeth bared as his thoughts penetrated his mind, fearing that his children were already purified. He didn't want them to die, they were his children and damn it he was going to protect them from the monk even if it costed him his life. He'd rather die than see them suffer by his hands, by his doing.
"Makoto! Kisara!" Inuyasha shouted, he had long jumped off the branch, being that it was much more faster on foot. He didn't notice the familiar green shimmer he hasn't seen for four years.
He slammed into the barrier, but to his astonishment, it didn't purify him. Inuyasha blinked in confusion then shook his head to clear his thoughts and continued to move on forward.
Inuyasha held a clawed hand on to tetsusaiga's hilt and then unsheathed the sword to let it transform. He wasn't long until he noticed three figures struggling to get up, he didn't smell the monk's scent anywhere near, but once he brought them to safety.
"Papa," he heard his daughter say hoarsely as she got up from the ground, her cheeks were puffed up and red, and tears trailed down her small face. Inuyasha darted to her when he noticed that she stumbled on herself, from the lack of energy, and into his outstretched arms.
"Kisara, you're safe now, papa is here. I'm here." Inuyasha whispered and his daughter began to breathe easily in his arms. He looked towards his son who lightly smiled in his direction before turning to the girl that he was helping up.
Inuyasha arched a brow, now seeing the face of the girl who smiled in gratitude to his son, questioning himself on who she was. "Papa, Kisara is really hurt, she was injured on her leg." Makoto informed his father.
Makoto helped Naoko on her feet and then let her hand go when he noticed the look on his father's face, embarrassment quickly assembled onto his features and his cheeks began to burn. "C-Can we go home now." The inu-pup stuttered.
Reminding himself to ask his wife who the girl was, Inuyasha could tell that the girl was too, a half demon. His attention was focused on his daughter who fisted his kariginu. He silently stood up up, hearing his son follow behind him with the girl, all going to the direction of Kaede's hut.

Kagome ran through in the forest, along with Harumi, both women searched for their children.
The miko's expression was filled with worry such as that as the new village woman. When they heard from Sango's children that a group of monk's were charging around the forest grounds, shouting that their friends were in trouble, the two women bounded straight into the forest.
They didn't even turn back to wait for Sango, but Kaede had told the demon slayer that it was far to late to stop them. Kagome didn't forget to carry her bow that was gripped tightly in her hand, and her quiver of arrows strapped over her shoulder.
Harumi glanced at the woman beside her, she never heard of a miko ever marrying a demon - let alone a half demon, but times were changing. Even if it was a small portion.
"Kagome-sama, it is all my fault, I was the reason why those monk's had come to the village," Harumi sputtered out, tears rolling down her face. She wanted to seek refuge, away from all torment and cruel words that villagers would spat at her child and herself.
If she never traveled to Kaede's village, she wouldn't be risking the lives of two innocent children. "It is all my fault…" Harumi cried out, abruptly stopping from running, and sobbed hysterically.
"It is not your fault Harumi-chan, they have visited us before, so do not place all the blame on yourself." Kagome told her, her brows knitted when she heard the jingling sound of metal and the stomping of feet on the forest ground.
"Ungai-sama, it is the woman who claims to be a miko," a follower said as he and his master, as well as the others in the group, halted. Ungai turned his attention to the woman dressed in the traditional outfit, and then glanced over to the woman who's face resembled that of the girl that was protected by the small Inu hanyō child.
Kagome gritted her teeth and her grip on her bow tightened, so they thought that just because she was the wife of Inuyasha, they'd think that she was no longer a miko. They thought that her power had waned, but they thought wrong, it has grown exponentially.
"I think it unwise of you, priestess, that you harbor hanyō children in this village. I see you didn't listen to my words years prior to now. Although I do understand the question on why you have those with demon blood stay close to you. I am warning you now-" he said, his eyes narrowing at her.
Kagome waited for him to say that he'd hurt her children if he comes to the village, but she would never let that happen, in some part of her mind she knew that they were safe.
"Others will go after your….children, because they are different. I've never seen a hanyō with spiritual powers, like he had demonstrated to me today and years before." Ungai had said, motioning his followers to leave the forest grounds and into the path.
Kagome didn't expect him to tell her that, but she merely nodded in return, heeding his words.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha shouted as he barreled out of the trees and ran to his wife, to find that she was speaking to the monk he detested and growled upon seeing him.
"You bastard!" Inuyasha bellowed, flexing his claws to Ungai who raised his - now cut in half - shakujō staff. It was a good thing Ungai had made his followers leave to the path he came, or else the half demon he faced would've been purified in an instant.
"Where are the children," Kagome said, drawing her husband attention from the monk to her, and he noticed her eyes water in concern. Inuyasha pulled Kagome to him, his arm wrapped around her waist as his right hand was placed on tetsusaiga's hilt. "They are alright now. They're with Kaede-baba," he whispered to her. His golden orbs concentrated at the monk, watching if he'd pull any tricks with his broken staff.
Ungai's lips thinned out into a straight line when he noticed the half demon stare at the staff that was broken down by his son. "You should be proud, usually half demons would back down in fear, and be purified by my men. Your son, however, did not. Unlike the countless others before him, he showed bravery, and fought for his life and the two girls he protected."
Inuyasha loosened his grip on the hilt and his eyes dilated, his left ear twitched to hear his words, and he looked down at his wife.
"What you did, I should just kill you where you stand," Inuyasha seethed, baring his fangs at the monk who stood his ground. Ungai narrowed his eyes at him and opened his mouth to speak.
"It was a foolish act on my part." He said, lowering his head only a fraction, and not meeting the eyes of the enraged half demon.
Inuyasha growled menacingly, his wife was holding him back and if she didn't, he would've killed the monk in an instant. "Damn right it was. I should kill you!" He shouted in anger, but then met the monk's eyes. "But I won't."
Kagome looked at her husband and then to Ungai who stared at them,"Leave…now Ungai-sama, for your sake."
Ungai gave a curt nod to her and turned around and left. Once he disappeared from their line of view, Kagome glanced at Harumi who trembled in fright. "Harumi-chan, Naoko-chan is at Kaede-obaa-chan's, she is all right but weak now."
Harumi nodded and mumbled a thank you to her and her husband then took off to see her daughter.
"Chichiue! Hahaue!" two shouts were heard and Kagome and Inuyasha turned around to see their children wobbling over to them. "Makoto…Kisara," Kagome said, noticing the paleness of their skin and she rushed to them.
Kagome fell on her knees as she held her children close to her and hugged them tight, as if they would've vanished in thin air.
"Did the bad man go away? I feel very dizzy after he did that to us," Kisara mumbled into her hair and took comfort in her mother's scent. Inuyasha walked over to them and kneeled down to his son's eye level.
"Papa, I was scared," Makoto admitted, remembering the feeling of fear and loneliness when he wasn't with his parents.
Inuyasha closed his eyes tightly, and wrapped his arms around his little boy, thinking back to a time when he was his age and almost killed by monks. "I'm glad you are alright, I love you, my son." Makoto buried his face in his father's haori.
"I love you too, papa."
Inuyasha smiled and then pulled back to stare at his son,"So who's the little girl you protected?" Makoto gaped and Kisara stopped her crying and began to laugh.
"Onii-chan likes her! He protected her from the bad men and destroyed that man's staff! He didn't even help me up!" Kisara cried and slightly glared at her older brother. Makoto blushed at glared daggers at his sister who smiled at him.
Kagome let out a laugh and shook her head. She jumped when she felt something, but she noticed her daughter pulling her hand. "Mama, mama, he likes Naoko-chan! He likes Naoko-chan!"
"No I do not!" Makoto shouted at his sister! The redness on his face showing even more and near his neck.
Inuyasha looked down at his son and ruffled his hair,"You did a good job. I'm proud of you." Makoto was stunned for a moment but then smiled up at his father.
Ungai was the last to leave, he glanced at the family in the clearing before disappearing down the path where his men stood. He would go to the village time to time, to see that no one harmed the children.
"They are too dangerous, look at what that-" one of his followers said but Ungai raised his arm to stop him. "They are no danger to us or anyone, for they are different, I know that. As of now, we will dispose of demons that threaten villages. Understood."
The men nodded and bowed to their master. "Yes Ungai-sama," a few of them turned and began to walk to the new direction they headed to. Ungai walked behind them and one of his oldest followers looked at him.
"You've sensed it as well Ungai-sama." He watched his master nod to his words and rub his chin. "I have, she is expecting another." Ungai answered. He sensed it once he changed directions before leaving the village.
"The miko is expecting another of those….unique creatures." Ungai continued, his neck craned to look at the sky. "Times are changing."
