Four human children all lined up horizontally, standing up straight and tall, with determined looks on their faces. Well, at least the twin girls had the expressions of dedication to what they were called for.

A silver haired girl paced back and forth, her lips in a thin line, and her hands behind her back. Her blue eyes narrowed in concentration as her brows furrowed contemplatively.

"We came like you asked us to, Kisara-chan," Tadashi, the first born son of Miroku and Sango, raised a small clenched fist in the air. The said girl turned her head to the side, nodding attentively at the boy.

"I know." She had responded back, eyes glancing from the six year old boy to his older sisters. "Sakura-chan, Haruka-chan, where is she now?" Kisara inquired.

The twin girls giggled and quickly covered their mouths in unison, then cleared their throats to answer. Haruka chose to reply, as Sakura throughout the time, bobbed her head vigorously. "Near the river with her Okaa-san."

Kisara smiled at them, then pressed a finger to her chin and tapped it twice. "And where is my Onii-chan?"

Tadashi smirked,"Busy running away from Mikio and Shako. Those two are double trouble. My Chichi-ue is with them, so I don't think they'll be coming any time soon."

"Uh-huh. Thank you Tadashi-kun." Kisara stopped in front of Keiji, seeing the boy being entranced by her twitching appendages, and let out a sigh. Her eyes flickered over to the rest of the siblings and she clapped her hands.

"Okay so this is what we should do," Kisara gathered them and they all aligned themselves in a circle. Their whispers were just a bunch of words as one conversed with the other.

Sango and Kagome on the grass as Rin served them a cup of tea then settled down next to them to converse. "Kisara-chan reminds me of Sesshoumaru-sama sometimes, Kagome-sama." Rin had said to the miko.

Kagome's brow arched in questioned, wondering why that her bubbly daughter reminded the teen of the Lord of the West.

Noticing the confused expression across the miko's face, Rin smiled at her,"She looks so in charge and there are times when she is angered, her eyes narrow the way Sesshoumaru-sama's would."

Taking a moment to glance at her daughter, Kagome chuckled and couldn't help but nod in agreement. "I now see the similarities, she does seem to look like Onii-san when she is enraged. All of her emotions are closed tight."

The three turned to see the children gathering in a tight circle and were perplexed on their behavior. "What are they up to?" Sango let out a laugh and shook her head.

"I do not know, but ye's children seem eager, and so does young Kisara." They noticed Kaede walking to them with a happy look on her face. The elder miko enjoyed watching the children play around near her hut, but sometimes there were days when she couldn't deal with their energetic selves.

"Get them off me!" Makoto growled in irritation as he was face planted on the ground, his hands clawed on the grass as the twins were holding him down. Mikio fell on the boy's back, landing stomach down while Shako decided to jump and sit on them.

Makoto ducked his head and grimaced at the weight on his back. "Miroku-oji-san, if you don't want my Chichi-ue to be mad at you, you would take them off my back." The boy gave the monk who smirked in slight amusement.

"I'm sorry Makoto, let me help you," Miroku retorted and told his sons to let the Inu-pup stand.

Makoto brushed his red hakama pants with his hands to take off the dust. "Thanks," he muttered and dusted off his hands in a satisfied manner. The monk moved his shakujō staff from his left hand to his right, looking down at the boy who's ears twitched wildly and swiveled to the right.

Miroku turned his head in which Makoto was listening to and noticed the girl, Naoko and her mother, both were strolling down the path to their hut after they were helping Kaede. Naoko seemed to take a liking to helping the children that were comfortable around her, and would bandage their wounds whenever they tripped or hurt themselves.

"Well, my, my, my, you appear to take a liking to Harumi-san's daughter, Naoko." The monk said out loud. Makoto gaped at his Uncle and crossed his arms,"I am not, don't say anything that will hurt you Oji-san."

Miroku raised his hands in defeat,"I know when not to intervene, but if you ask me, woo her with your charms." Makoto's eyes twitched. "You're weird."

The half demon tensed when the girl called him and he turned around to flee. "Eh?" Naoko wondered and stopped in front of Miroku who shook his head. "He is as dense as his father, poor, poor boy."

Makoto fled to encounter his mother as he subconsciously ran to Kaede's hut and bumped into her. "Makoto," Kagome exclaimed in surprise and then smiled at her son.

"Sorry Haha-ue, I didn't hurt the pup did I?" He asked worriedly. She shook her head, reassuring him that her unborn child wasn't hurt, and brushed a lock of his silver hair from his face.

"You seem uneasy," Kagome pointed out and settled slowly on the grass to speak to him. Makoto opened his mouth to tell her everything was okay, but was interrupted when a loud pop sound rang and hovering in the air was a certain kitsune that visited them for the fourth time that month.

"Naoko is the problem, am I right?" Shippo teased the boy, remembering how the Inu-pup would be around the hanyō. He was told of the girl and smirked in diversion when his little "brother" would speak with her.

Kagome chuckled and patted the ground next to her. "Did you and Naoko-chan fight, again? Is everything all right?" The boy plopped down beside his mother and crossed his legs, pouting at what the kitsune remarked.

"It's nothing," Makoto retorted, turning his head to hide his face from her. Kagome raised her eyebrows and knew what was going on. "I see, well I know you are hiding your emotions, just like your father."

Makoto raised his head from the palm of his hand, turning his head to the side to listen to his mother. Kagome nodded and raised her hand to rub his ears soothingly. Makoto relaxed visibly and sighed.

"It would seem Makoto likes Naoko," Shippo explained, looking down at the boy.

"Shippo-chan," Kagome said reprimanding matter, staring at the kitsune who slumped his shoulders down. "He has a crush on her," Kagome said softly and smiled at her son. "You would know Shippo-chan, you seemed to take a liking - a crush actually - on every girl we'd help when we will arrive at a village years ago.

Shippo blushed and scratched his cheek shyly,"Yeah, but…"

"I remember when you gave Ai-chan those flowers before she and her brothers left to go on their own," Kagome continued, glancing up at the kitsune who stared at his feet. "Then ran off when there was a lizard on it," the fox kit mumbled.

Makoto sighed and left his mother and older brother to walk around to find his sister, curious at why he hasn't seen her all day.

"Naoko-chan!" Sakura shouted, seeing the girl and winking slyly at her siblings that followed close behind her. The girl tilted her head and once she was informed that Kisara wanted her help, she followed them to assist her.

Kisara scrambled to her feet and hid in the trees as she launched at her brother from behind and smiled. "Onii-chan!"

Makoto yelped, too in thought to know that his sister's scent was behind him and he fell into the ground, the second time that day. "Kisara…" the boy seethed and lifted his head from the ground, as it was all covered in dirt.

"Onii-chan, I think Naoko-chan is in trouble, she went to help Keiji-kun near the well and I think she fell in." Kisara tumbled with her words.

"And why didn't you help her?" Makoto asked and she almost slipped up when she began to stutter, and that's when they heard a scream. The two jumped and recognized the scream to be that of the half demon girl they were speaking of.

"Kisara-chan! Makoto!" Tadashi had run in their direction, waving his hands up and down frantically. "There's a snake demon in the forest and it's chasing Naoko-chan!"

Makoto gritted his teeth and rushed pass the boy to kill the demon that would hurt his friend.

Kisara let out a sigh,"Tadashi-kun, nice excuse."

"…it's the truth," the boy answered. Kisara blinked at him and gasped,"This is not good."

Naoko ducked from the flying serpent that lunged at her with it's fangs probing over its mouth. Sakura, Haruka and Keiji were hiding behind the well like the girl had told them. She didn't want them to get hurt and if they got hurt they could be injured for life. Unlike her demon blood that ran in her veins, she couldn't be killed if the demon bit her.

Glancing over her shoulder, the serpent seemed closer and would've bitten her if it had not been tossed to the side by a boy dressed in all red. Makoto growled when he felt something trickle down his forearm but didn't pay any attention to the wound he had received.

The serpent, shook its head at the sudden impact, then hissed wildly at him. It only survived only three seconds after it was tossed to the side. "Keh, nothing to it," Makoto muttered and nodding in content.

"Makoto-kun you arm!" Naoko exclaimed and rushed to him. "Let me have a look, it must hurt, right?"

Makoto stepped back when she ambled to him. "I'm fine." Naoko glowered at him and searched on the ground for her fallen supplies and picked them up. "You are not fine," she simply said and he disagreed with her.

Kisara and the others stayed hidden behind the trees, the boys having no clue what was going on, decided to leave to their mother. As for the girls, they all covered their mouths to suppress a giggle.

"Would you let me help you!" Naoko snapped, glaring at him in the eye and challenged him. Makoto frowned even more, lowering his head down, growling yet obliged to sitting down cross legged. "Fine."

Naoko huffed and used the cloth strip to wrap up the scrape on his forearm. "You are stubborn, Makoto-kun."

Makoto blushed and focused his eyes somewhere off than staring at the girl, then glared at his sister and the twin girls that hid, promising to get them back later.
