Author's Note

Hi minna-san! It's me again, how is everyone doing? I managed to write this chapter up during my free time and type it up after I was done burying my face in my studies. Well, why don't I let you read. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own Makoto and Kisara.

"Such power cannot be good news, especially for a mere half demon child." One of her most trusted vassals had told her, growling at the news. InuKimi nodded in agreement, her forefinger and thumb placed on her chin.

"It is certainly news to be heard and never before looked upon, until now." InuKimi stated. In all her life, never had she heard of a half demon pup, or of any kind of demon specie.

"This is very unsettling, InuKimi." Her vassal had said, his brows knotting in thought as a vertical furrow appeared. "I do not think the Inu clan would appreciate such a halfbreed alive." His fist shaking only a bit.

The Inu daiyōkai raised her hand, making him silence when she heard a knock on the grand doors and he obliged. Her vassal bowed, and retreated backwards when the doors opened and he left from the side door.

Her hand fell slowly to clasp over the other that was on top of her lap, the corners of her lips curved up only a little when three figures walked up to her.

"So, you have finally arrived." InuKimi had said, her brows relaxing as she eased back on her chair. Her golden eyes flicking over at her son, then at the half demon who stood next to him.

Sesshoumaru looked at her in the eye,"I have heard your calling, mother. Is it there not any problems occurring with the clan? There is also a possibility of a danger in my lands, some of the leaders are arguing over the panther demon tribe that want to claim the land for their own, one not seen in many centuries when father ruled."

"I know not of the tribe you speak of, your father had never mentioned anything to me before, he had been, how should I say." Her eyes glazed over to Inuyasha who eyed her with a vacant expression that matched her own. Her head rose at the look on his face and then focused on her son. "Well, rather distant two hundred years ago."

Jaken had gulped the lump that formed in his throat when he saw the look of fire in her eyes. Gobodō-sama, is even scarier than I had perceived her to be, that is the last time we met nine years ago.

Noticing her son nearly opening his mouth to speak, she held a hand to stop him from talking before she finished,"I must warn you Sesshoumaru, even if you are my son, I cannot protect you from any dangers that will happen in the mere future. If a war between their tribe and our own, you would have to act fast and stop it."

"Very well. I think our time now here is done. Goodbye, Mother," Sesshoumaru turned around and walked away with a keen look on his face. Inuyasha had stayed silent, that was until InuKimi stopped him, with a few choice of words.

"Your two children are quite surprising, I must say." InuKimi smirked when the half demon froze in his tracks, as so did the Lord of the West.

Inuyasha glanced over his shoulder at the daiyōkai, trying to see if there was any trace of discrepancy in her eyes. He didn't want to start a conflict with his older half brother's mother.

"The unborn child…I am not sure whether it is a threat or low beyond the clans standards," InuKimi stated, witnessing the child's power from the mother's womb. Inuyasha's hands balled into fists, teeth gritting and nearly letting a menacing growl pass his lips. He would not stand by and let Sesshoumaru's mother and make a mockery of his child that was not even born yet.

"Inuyasha," he heard his brother say, well snapped in a tone he knew too well. Inuyasha turned around to face Sesshoumaru who motioned slowly toward the gate where they had came from. "Her words are hallow, do not pay matter to them. Let us be on our way."

The two walked on and ambled past the grand doors. InuKimi watched the imp bow various times in respect before exiting to follow her son. "Keep an eye on Inuyasha's mate and the children, test the older one, we may have use of him, but not today. That is for another day." Her vassal appeared near her chair with a serious look, he nodded to the Inu daiyōkai, and left.

"Ayame-chan!" Kagome squealed in happiness, waddling towards the pig-tailed woman who smiled in return with outstretched arms. In retrospect, Ayame was never comfortable with the situation of Kouga "loving" Kagome or so he had claimed. Yet, now she did not need to worry so much, as the wolf demon was her mate and the father of her cubs.

"You look wonderful, Kagome-chan!" Giggling happily as she embraced the miko, not to tight to cause any damage to her protruding stomach. "Thank you," Kagome looked to her right to find her children speaking with Kouga and Ayame's children.

"Have you ever considered cutting your hair? You look like a girl with long hair like that," Syaoran, the eldest of the group of wolf demon children, had said. His green eyes staring at the length of Makoto's hair, then flicking over to the girl sitting next to the silver haired boy.

A vein pressured in the boy's forehead as the young wolf's attention went to his sister and he growled at the comment he was just told of. Kouga snickered at his son's words, earning a reprimanding hit by his wife and a glare.

"Then you've obviously never looked at your reflection in the water." Makoto declared, crossing his arms over his chest and noticed the look on his mother's face, and saw the tapping of her foot. His ears lowered then flicked back when he heard the wolf cub mutter something about his father.

Kisara and Syaoran's sisters exchanged glances, all heaving a deep sigh. "They get like this everytime, don't they?" The Inu pup had said, blue eyes glancing up when her brother shoot to his feet, with a fist shaking madly.

"Say that one more time," Makoto told him, eyes narrowing in anger. No one called his father a weak demon.

Syaoran gaped for several seconds and a smug look took place of his confused demeanor. And so, the wolf cub repeated his words, only to be tackled on the ground.

Kagome gasped as her son literally growling in frustration and tackled Syaoran to the ground, both boys tumbling down the small hill. "Makoto!" She shouted, worried for the both of them, and not wanting her son or the wolf child to be injured.

Ayame placed her hand on Kagome's shoulder when she nearly tripped from a slight jolt of pain in her abdomen. "Kagome-chan, are you okay?" Ayame asked, taking a few moments to tear her gaze from her son and the said woman's son, worry set on her face.

"I'm all right, it's just the baby, it's kicking," Kagome said in astonishment, blinking various times stared down at her round stomach. She frowned that she couldn't see her feet a little, but then looked up to remember that her son was fighting with the wolf cub.

"Okay you two," Kouga said, gripping the back of Makoto's kariginu and his son's fur belt to get them to stop from brawling. "That is enough. No more fighting and sit there quietly."

Makoto glared at the wolf demon who dropped him onto the ground as Kouga's son glared at him. Syaoran brushed off his knees and placed all the blame over the Inu pup who growled dangerously.

Kouga raised his hand and pinched his son on the back of his neck. Syaoran gulped, rubbing the sore spot, knowing that he would be in trouble later on.

Makoto walked silently over to his sister that was fascinated over one of the flowers in Syaoran's sister's hair. Quietly setting himself on the grass, pouting madly, with his chin on the palm of his hand.

Kouga heaved a sigh, then moved to his wife and the miko standing next to her. "Kagome, you okay?" He had asked, seeing the small look of pain earlier on her face, and reached out to touch her shoulder in concern for her well being.

Ayame opened her mouth to tell her husband that she was all-right, but then a spark of purple light lit on the miko's arm. Before Kouga knew it, he was zapped and flung off yards away. Ayame covered her mouth and called his name.

He raised his hand, chuckling nervously, and getting up from the ground,"I'm fine. That's some power you have there, Kagome." The miko shook her head and looked down at her stomach,"That wasn't me."

Ayame was taken aback at the startling news,"The unborn child did?" She had asked. Bobbing her head, Kagome gave a look of worry at the protruding belly, her powers have been out of control and the baby has been taking over.

"Some pup," Kouga muttered, for once, jealous that the unborn child of Inuyasha was stronger than any full demon he had ever fought. The wind change caused him to look into the forest, smelling the faint scent of a dog demon nearby, and it wasn't Inuyasha or his older half brother.

"Kouga-kun, is there something wrong?" Kagome asked, noticing the look on his face. The wolf demon shook his head,"Ain't nothing to worry about." I think.
