[A/N: I know that I said this chapter would be a long one, but I was unable to find Tangled online and it isn't on Netflix which surprised me nor do I own it. I'm going to be borrowing it from a friend tomorrow, but before that there's going to be a chapter for Brave so maybe look for that either tomorrow or the day after. As for the boss fight of this chapter I chose not to do Jafar since this was before the movie and instead used one of my favorite villains from the television series. I hope I did him justice. Reviews are appreciated. Enjoy the chapter!]
The world that they'd landed in was sandy and hot, but off in the distance it looked like there was a large city. Juliet brought her hand up to her eyes to shield them from the bright sun .light. "It looks like we're in Agrabah which means the last of the seven pure lights is here, but the problem is how to find them." She had the Keyblade change back into the glider and hopped on. "I think its best if we fly there since it looks like it could still be a ways away."
As they flew Juliet noticed that Akio was clinging to her waist. "What's the matter, Akio? Scared?"
"Yes, it looks like that sand could swallow you up if you fell into it."
Clementine on the other hand was sitting on the edge of the glider letting her braid blow in the wind. "I think flying is great. It's the next best thing to swimming."
Since they were flying it didn't take them very long to get into the city. Juliet hopped off the glider when she saw a tall dark haired tan skinned man elegantly dressed with a turban on a white horse walking up towards the palace. "Excuse me, Mister do you know if one of the seven pure lights is here?"
The man was looking down his nose at Juliet with a slight sneer on his lips. "I don't know anything about light. I'm actually on my way to court the lovely Princess Jasmine."
"Jasmine? I wonder if she's the one we're looking for."
"Well I know she's the one I'm looking for. And only a Prince is allowed to court a Princess." The man squeezed the horse's sides and trotted off towards the palace.
That gave Juliet an idea. "Akio, you're a boy right?"
"Yes, last time I checked."
"Clementine could you do me a little favor?"
"What did you have in mind?"
"Make Akio look like a Prince."
Akio raised an eyebrow. "What are you going on about, Juliet? Just because I'm a boy doesn't mean I'm Prince material."
It didn't look like this had damped Juliet's mood at all. "You could pull off regal if you wanted." Her smile did falter a bit when Akio was still frowning. "Come on Akio I think Princess Jasmine is the last of the pure lights. If she is we're done and I can go home and you can go home too."
"I can't go home in case you've forgotten."
"I suppose you're right, but if you did this it would be a big help."
"No, and that's all I'm saying on it."
Juliet took a step closer to him and batted her eyelashes at him. "Please Akio if you did this for me I would be forever grateful."
It looked like Akio was having a furious silent debate with himself. "Fine, you want me to be a Prince I'll be a Prince."
She threw her arms around his neck. "Thanks Akio you're the best."
"Yeah sure…." He relaxed a bit as Juliet let go of him. "Ok Clementine work your magic."
"With pleasure. Oh, Juliet should we change our costumes too? We could pretend to be his servants or something."
"Yes, change our clothes too, but make him stick out since you know he'll be royalty."
Clementine pulled Akio into an ally and cracked her fingers. "Come on Akio don't look like such a sour puss. You get to go flirt with a beautiful Princess."
"How do you know she's beautiful?"
"Most Princesses are beautiful or do you want her to be ugly? Wait, don't answer that you don't want some Princess because you want Juliet."
"Don't be so loud she's right there."
"Fine, fine now hold still so I can do this."
The next time Akio looked down he was wearing a dark blue vest with gold trim that was open with slightly puffy dark blue pants and pointed gold shoes. "Why is my chest bare?"
"Have you realized how hot it is here? You'll be thanking me once we get back in the sun. Juliet come here I need to do us now."
Juliet joined them in the ally, but not before looking Akio up and down. "You did good Clementine he certainly does look more regal."
The clothes that Clementine created for herself and Juliet were decidedly less impressive and were only long brown robes.
"All right lets go see if we can see the Princess."
When they got to the front gates of the palace Juliet overheard two guards talking.
"That blasted sorcerer got my best men stuck in his black sand again. They were gone just like that."
Juliet thought about going after them to hear them better when Clementine pulled her back. "I was just curious about what sorcerer they're talking about."
Akio found himself getting pushed up in front of the girls in the throne room where the rather pudgy sultan sat upon a throne that looked a bit too big for him; at his side was a tall dark and sinister man with a curly beard. "Your Majesty, I have come to seek your daughter's hand in marriage."
The sultan didn't look too excited at the thought. "Oh dear another one? I'm afraid my daughter is in a poor mood at the moment. She sent away her last suitor without even speaking to him."
Juliet quickly went up to Akio's side. "Prince Akio has a certain way with Princesses he'll get her to open up don't worry."
"I don't know…."
"Just give me a little time with her."
"Where exactly did you say you were from?"
Akio felt his tongue dry up. He wasn't a very good liar even in the best of times.
Clementine came up to his other side. "We're from a land that's very far away. I'm only a humble servant from a water world, but the Prince is from a very rich technologically advanced kingdom and has plenty to offer the Princess should she see fit to see him."
It still looked like the sultan was puzzling this over. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to let you see Jasmine, but your servants will have to wait out here. Jafar, would you show the lad to the Princess's chambers."
Akio was still feeling very hesitant about this whole idea, but let Jafar lead him towards the Princess's chambers.
Sitting on a long white sofa was a tan skinned dark haired girl wearing turquoise, but what had caught Akio's attention was the large tiger sitting beside the Princess.
"Princess Jasmine you have a guest."
Jasmine barely raised her head before rolling over. "Another one? Can't you tell him to leave Jafar?"
"I'm afraid he insists, Princess."
"Well leave us then so I can talk to him."
Akio waited until Jafar had left the room before looking back up at Jasmine. As soon as he did he felt a warm flutter in his heart. Juliet was right she's one of them. "So, your name's Jasmine?"
"Yes, I didn't catch your name though."
"I'm Akio."
"And what kingdom are you from?"
"It's not really a kingdom."
"Then what is it?"
Akio could feel his palms start to sweat. "I don't know if I should tell you."
Jasmine glanced down at the tiger and stroked its head. "I'm sure Rajah could persuade you to tell me."
He glanced down at Rajah and swallowed hard. "I guess it couldn't hurt, but you can't tell anyone. I'm from a world that's far away from here called The Grid."
Jasmine quirked an eyebrow. "The Grid? What's it like?"
"It's very….blue."
"Blue?"
"It's just the lighting in the world. Most everything is blue, black, or red."
Jasmine stood up and walked over to Akio. "Could you show me? I've always wanted to see other places."
"I'm afraid I can't. I shouldn't have even told you that much."
"Oh….well could you tell me of some of the other places you've been?"
"Yes, I suppose."
Jasmine sat back down on the couch and patted the spot next to her.
Back in the throne room Juliet was shuffling her feet when she felt Clementine pluck at her sleeve.
"What do we do while Akio is flirting with the Princess?"
"I heard something about a problem with a sorcerer. We could ask the sultan about it." Juliet took a few steps closer to the throne. "Excuse me, your highness, but on our way here I heard some guards talking about a sorcerer that you're having some problems with."
The sultan had a slightly grumpy look on his face. "Yes, yes his name is Mozenrath and he's been causing problems for some time now."
"We could help you with your problem."
"But you're only servant girls. What could you possibly do to the lord of the black sand?"
"More than you think. Just point us in the right direction and we can get rid of him."
With a bit of difficulty the sultan got down from his throne and waddled over to them. "If you really insist on going I suppose there's no stopping you, but I'm going to warn you that Mozenrath is very dangerous and shouldn't be taken lightly. Don't think he'll go easy on you just because you're girls."
"I don't expect him too if he's as bad as you're making him out to be."
The sultan produced a very old worn looking map and handed it to Juliet. "That is a map of Agrabah and its borders. The land of the black sand is just outside out borders. You'll know it when you see it because well….."
"The sand is black?"
"Yes, the sand is black."
"Well thanks for help and if the Prince comes looking for us just tell him that we've gone looking for Mozenrath he'll understand."
Once they were clear of the palace Juliet unfolded the map. "It doesn't look like Agrabah is terribly big. If we fly over to the black sand it will go quicker too."
They were flying over Agrabah and were catching some strange looks in response. "You think they've never seen anyone fly before."
Clementine looked down at the opened mouthed people and waved. "I'd love to see their faces if they knew what I really was."
"Don't give them too much culture shock."
They flew in silence for a little while longer until the sand went from a golden tan color to black.
Juliet lowered the glider down to the ground and jumped off before having it disappear back into her bracelet. "Well, Mozenrath must be around here somewhere. And this time I'm going to try a different approach instead of going in guns blazing."
"What are we going to do?"
"Let's try being diplomatic. Who knows maybe he'll listen if we don't shout at him."
As they got further into the land of the black sand Juliet couldn't help, but notice that there were absolutely no people around. "Don't you think it's weird that there aren't any people here?"
"Maybe Mozenrath doesn't have any subjects."
"But if he's the lord of the black sand wouldn't he have subjects?" Juliet heard a faint hissing sound and put her arm up to block Clementine. "Do you hear that?"
There was a small shadow behind one of the buildings. The shadow came out fully revealing itself to be a rather ugly eel with bulbous eyes. The eel sniffed the air before locking eyes with Juliet. "Intruders!"
"Wait a minute we just want to talk to your lord we're not going to hurt you." Juliet started chasing after the eel with Clementine following close behind.
The eel proved to be faster than them and disappeared through a slight crack in the doors of a monstrous citadel.
Juliet nearly ran into the doors and began to pound on them. "Mozenrath, come out we want to talk to you."
The doors cracked open to reveal a tall pale faced man about Juliet's age with curly black hair wearing blue and grey. He had a look on his face that said he thought he was better than everyone else.
She took a step back and felt her cheeks turn pink. "I didn't think he'd be cute."
Clementine sighed under her breath and shook her head. "Remember what we're doing here Juliet? Don't get distracted."
"Oh right. You're Mozenrath lord of the black sand, right?"
"Yes, and what are two peasants doing in my kingdom?"
Cute and rude what a great mix. "Well, us peasants just have a little matter we'd like to bring up with you."
"And what could that possibly be?"
"Its about how you keep attacking Agrabah. It really needs to stop."
Mozenrath crossed his arms over his chest. "Really? You expect me to stop just like that? Why should I? Agrabah is going to be part of my kingdom eventually."
Juliet could feel herself starting to get exasperated. "I don't know if you know this or not, but Agrabah already has a sultan I don't know what they'd do with two."
"I'd like to see two peasant girls such as yourselves stop me from attacking Agrabah."
"Oh we could stop you if we wanted, but I just thought we could go about this diplomatically." Juliet was eyeing the gauntlet that Mozenrath was wearing. Why would he wear only one gauntlet?
"I don't think you understand little girl. There's no possible way you could stop me."
By this point Juliet was starting not only to feel exasperated, but angry as well from his quip about her being a little girl. She summoned her Keyblade and aimed it at him. "I've tried being nice, but I'm afraid I don't have a lot of patience. So, if it's a fight you want it's a fight you'll get."
Mozenrath was smirking at her and unfolded his arms before raising his gauntlet at her. "Be my guest, little girl."
Before Juliet could react he'd sent a bolt of magic from the gauntlet at her head. So he's a magic user is he? I guess I shouldn't be surprised when the guards said he was a sorcerer. That means Clementine is out. She swung the Keyblade at him only to see him sidestep.
The eel from before flew at Juliet's face and tried to bite her only have himself get knocked away.
"Clementine get rid of that eel and I'll get rid of Mozenrath." Juliet had to jump to the side again to avoid getting hit with another bolt of magic. If I can get that gauntlet away from him this will be easy. There was only one idea that was coming to Juliet at the moment. She threw the Keyblade away and pounced on him.
Since Mozenrath hadn't been expecting this he fell easily and quickly realized that Juliet was going for his gauntlet and tried to push her off.
Juliet grabbed onto the gauntlet and yanked it off, but saw something she wasn't expecting. "What's wrong with your hand? Why is it bones?" She felt his foot in her stomach and was kicked off.
Mozenrath scrambled towards the gauntlet when Juliet put her foot on it. "Give it back."
"Make me."
He was glaring up at her and stood up. "I told you to give me back my gauntlet you little witch."
"I'll give it back on the condition that you leave Agrabah alone. Go find some other place to attack."
It looked like Mozenrath would rather spit on her, but he had more self control then that. "Fine, I'll leave Agrabah alone. There are plenty of other kingdoms out there to conquer anyway."
Juliet leaned down and picked up the gauntlet which he promptly snatched back. "Well it was nice meeting you and everything, but we need to go rescue our friend now. Come on Clementine let's go get Akio and get out of here."
As they were flying back to Agrabah, Clementine looked up at Juliet. "Did you really think he was cute?"
"Yeah, he's cute, but he's a total asshole."
"Isn't there someone else you think is cute?"
"No."
"Are you sure? There isn't a dark haired boy that you find cute?"
"Yes."
"Well this certain person thinks you're cute."
"Does he? Wait, are you talking about Puck?"
"No, not Puck. Someone a little closer to home."
"I don't know who you're talking about then."
Clementine sighed under her breath. She is so oblivious it's not even funny.
When they arrived back at the palace they were greeted enthusiastically by the sultan, but Akio was nowhere in sight. "I think you girls were right about this Prince he's been in there with Jasmine the whole time you've been gone and I haven't heard any growling, snarling, or screams. He might be the one."
Juliet's face went pale. "Actually we need to leave. Oh, and we took care of your problem with Mozenrath too."
"You did? How did you manage that?"
"I took his gauntlet away. Now could Akio come out?"
"What oh yes, yes. Jafar go get him."
When Akio came back Jasmine was trailing after him. "Sorry Jasmine, but it looks like I have to go."
"But you will come back and tell me more stories right?"
"Of course. I didn't think you'd like them that much, but next time I'll have more stories."
Once they were out of the palace Juliet turned to Akio. "So was I right about Jasmine being one of the seven pure lights?"
"You were."
Juliet's face broke out into a wide smile. "Then we're done. All we have to do now is find Erik and tell him that we found them all." She missed the worried look that went between Akio and Clementine as she got onto the glider.
