"Oh my," Kaede muttered with closed eyes.

Naoko had tears trailing down her cheeks, retelling of what she had seen, while shaking in fright. Harumi held her daughter close, encasing her arms around her shoulders comforting her, for she did not know what she had seen.

The elder high priestess opened her eyes when the door flap burst open and in came Sango and her family. "We've heard what happened. Please, tell me that Kagome and the children are…are here." Her voice filled with desperation and sadness of the unknown.

The demon slayer gasped at the moment when two heads lowered to tear their gaze away from her. Miroku who had entered the hut with a solemn look on his face. Carrying his son Shako in one arm and Mikio in the other, Miroku looked around the hut at Kaede, and letting his eyes rest on his wife.

Setting his two youngest boys down on the wooden floor, Miroku walked over to Sango, holding her in his arms. "It will be all-right, I've noticed the aura of the demon, and when Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha arrive, we will question Sesshoumaru over the demon."

Kaede looked at the monk with her one good eye, wide with shock,"They are arriving so soon." Miroku gave the elder priestess a curt nod in response.

Mikio and Shako, ambled to the exit of the hut to be with their other siblings, knowing when not to be involved in a grown-up conversation. Harumi placed a hand on her daughter's back, motioning her to follow. Naoko opened her mouth to protest, hoping to see if she could gather any word over the conflict at hand, but she rose on her feet to leave.

"All we must do now is wait." Kaede stared at the monk and demon slayer who sat near her, then at the woman who gazed sadly at the floor, and she too looked down with a sorrowful expression.

"What do you think is going inside there?" Sakura leaned over to speak with her sister. She glanced at her two little brothers who emerged from the hut. Haruka, not having a clue on anything, shrugged aimlessly.

"I'm not sure, but it can't be good, Mother had a really sad look on her face," Haruka had said, staring at the door flap, expecting her parents to walk out.

The two girls exchanged looks, recalling the expression on their mother's face as soon as they arrived at the village. A swarm of villagers kept repeating words that couldn't be unrolled from their ears and were whisked away by their parents to arrive at Granny Kaede's home.

Sighing in defeat, Sakura craned her head upwards, and gasped. What is that? She had thought curiously, seeing a figure in the clouds, appearing to be a great white dog headed to them.

"Haruka…" She had muttered and trying to gain her sister's attention. Yet her twin didnt hear her first call and repeated her name once more. Turning her head to the side, Haruka mumbled in retort, letting Sakura know that she concentrated all her attention to her.

"Haruka, can you see what I am seeing right now?" Rising slowly on her feet, patting the dirt that marked her clothing, Sakura squinted her eyes to adjust her sight.

The figure in the clouds was nearing to them, but it didn't appear to be a cloud like before, and now had markings on its face. Hastily grabbing the hands of her youngest siblings, Haruka shot to her feet in alarm, knowing what it was.

"Mother!" The nine year old shouted frantically. Shuffling was heard not a second later and out came the children's parents, ready to fight, but when the mighty flying dog had landed, the positions they held dropped.

A clad red figure jumped from the back of the dog demon with a smirk on his face. The children who were once frightened, raced toward their "Doggy Uncle" in happiness, shouting his name when they tackled him.

Sango took a step toward the hanyō who managed to get her children off him, yet they still held him with smiles on their faces. Shako pressed a finger on his little mouth,"Do you have another brother?"

The boy asked innocently and Inuyasha had gruffly muttered a no, and sent Sesshoumaru, now in his humanoid form, a glare. The little boy blinked up at the half dog demon,"But then why did one like you take Auntie Kagome away?"

Silence fell in the small area and then a growl erupted from a very angered half dog demon.

Miroku ambled promptly to his friend, trying his best to calm him down, and retelling what he was just told by the half demon child who stood feet away.

Sesshoumaru's eyes narrowed at the moment when the monk mentioned a dog demon with a symbol on his kimono. "Monk, what symbol was it?" The Lord of the West had asked, nearly giving Miroku a little heart attack and stuttering the answer for the lord.

Inuyasha held trembling clenched fists at his side, but outstretched them to grab Miroku by his rob, shaking him madly,"Where are my pups." From the rage that came from the half demon, it appeared to the others that it was the monk who had taken the young half demon children.

Miroku held his hands, dropping his shakujō staff on the ground,"I do not know, Inuyasha. Calm down." His face turned from shock to fear when he noticed Inuyasha's eyes flash red.

"Don't you tell me to fucking calm down. Your children are perfectly safe here. Mine…mine are-" Cutting himself off, Inuyasha let Miroku go, and he fell to the ground.

Sango ushered her children inside the hut once Inuyasha began to bellow in sheer anger. Her eyes watered at the sight when Naoko uttered that she had not seen where the half demon children were, only the sight of an enormous dog demon in their true form, jumping in a certain direction. Sango stared at the ground when Inuyasha stumbled over himself, falling backwards due to the trauma in his mind.

"Inuyasha, I know where your miko is," Sesshoumaru announced when Jaken had thought of the same design the monk spoke of. All heads but one shot towards the daiyōkai.

Miroku picked up his staff and knelt down near his friend. "We will keep an eye out and search for them."

Inuyasha didn't have the strength to look at the monk, but no other than stand slowly, turning his back on the ones he considered his other family. "I'll be…" Inuyasha mumbled, but like a ghost, he trudged to his half brother, intended to show him the direction in where his wife was.

I'll fucking kill the demon who took my family away. They'll pay and if they hurt Kagome or the children, there'll be hell to pay.

Screaming in horror, seeing but colors swirling around her, Kisara gripped her brother's haori in panic. "What is happening!"

Makoto gritted his teeth, still feeling the sensation of the aftershock, glanced at his sister unknowingly. The boy only saw the blue and black splotches everywhere. He, afraid to admit it to his little sister, was scared on what was occurring around them.

"I don't know, just don't let go of me, and we'll be okay!" Makoto yelled, squinting his eyes when a light sparked above them.

Suspended in midair ruffly about five seconds, before descending onto the gray ground under them, the two Inu-pups exchanged quizzically expressions. Makoto noticed his sword on the ground and quickly picked it up.

"Where do you think we are? It is not home and it smells funny too." Kisara pointed out the obvious reason as to why the smell of the once forest aroma they knew had changed to an eerie smell.

Kisara glanced above, jumping only to cling onto the lip of the well, feet placed on the rocks to steady herself. "Are we in a hut of some sort?" The girl muttered. Makoto arched a brow and jumped up, landing outside of the well, and taking a good long look of his surroundings.

His ears flicked at the sound of a crash then followed by a frustrated groan. After that, the bellowing of an elder man's voice rang, echoing the walls of the place they were in. "Can't we ask them for questions?" Kisara asked, propping one leg over the lip of the well, then finally climbed out of it.

She was soon hushed by her brother and glared at by him as well. Kisara crossed her arms and then jolted when the shoji doors slammed open wide.

There stood a woman with short hair curled up to her shoulders, eyes wide and her mouth ajar at the sight of the two. Makoto eyed the woman and took note of her facial features, and immediately the face of his mother appeared in his head.

"She looks like Haha-ue," Kisara whispered, standing behind her brother when the woman stepped to them. Makoto took a step back, still not trusting the woman, yet the serene gaze in her eyes relaxed him.

"Mom, what's going-" Another voice came up. "They look like Inuyasha-no-nii-chan!" The voice said. It was a boy in his teens with short, ruffled brown hair, smiling at them.

Hearing that the teen knew his father, Makoto lowered his protection stance, turning his attention toward him. "Souta dear, why don't you go inside, I'll be there in a minute." A disappointed sigh came from the teen boy, but left.

Kisara scampered out from under her brother's extended arm and rushed to the woman. "You must be our Obaa-chan."

When she first aroused from the deep slumber, she found herself in a room, and watched by someone in the corner. Kagome didn't know what to do or think, but place a hand on her stomach.

"A little jumpy for a miko, aren't you?" The question startled her when she noticed another figure in the shadows. Kagome blinked several times and had the strength to ask who the person was.

The dog demon smirked, golden eyes staring at her,"Why it is no other than your husband's Uncle of course."

Kagome's brows knitted only slight and her other hand wrapped around her stomach protectively,"And what do you want with me?" The cackle that came from the dog demon who referred himself to be Inuyasha's Uncle lowered at the inquiry she had done.

"Oh no, not you my dear, it is not you." The dog demon walked around her and reached over to the raven haired miko. Kagome moved to the side to not let him go near her stomach.

Growling in fury, his eyes narrowed down at her, as his hand reached for her arm, intent on dragging her to the grand hall. Yet at a spark, he was thrown back, reminding Kagome of the same action that happened to Kouga.

He flicked his cloak behind him and snarled at the miko, pointing an accused finger at her, yelling in anger that she dared to try anything. Kagome semi glared at him, she wouldn't let him near her unborn baby.

Over my dead body

Author's Note

Sadly, I must end it here, I have to get up bright and early tomorrow, so I'll see you all next time! I feel sorry for Inuyasha, he is having a break down, sort of. He doesn't know where the pups are because Naoko clearly didn't see where they had gone.

Thank you for the reviews once again. The pups had finally met with their grandmother, but not with Jii-chan as of now… Now, as for Kagome, her location is a place where Sesshoumaru knows, but one place where animosity greets Inuyasha.
