"You're back!" Naoko choked back a sob as she hugged him. The half-demon girl's eyes widened in realization that she was embracing her friend and she blushed furiously. "I'm glad."

Nishiyo smiled softly at the two young half demon children and turned to her nephew. "We shall go tell Inuyasha-kun and Kagome-chan that their son has awoken." Her eldest nephew gave her a small nod of agreement.

She walked to the shoji door with him,"Tell me Sesshoumaru, who is this girl named Rin I hear so much about? Is she a friend of yours?"

Naoko dried her tears away,"Makoto-kun, I so worried for you. Y-You died, but then came back to life." She looked at him in the eye when he winced. "Are you feeling well?" Naoko said worryingly when then he tried to sit up.

He nodded grimly at her and focused his attention to three figures standing by the shoji door. "Hahaue, Chichiue, Kisara," Makoto whispered, he felt a stinging feeling in his eye and he blinked rapidly.

Kagome quickly ran to her son's side when he called out to them,"Makoto!" She cried out happily, tears streamed down her face as she pulled her little boy closer.

The six year old Inu hanyō shifted in his mother's arms, closing his eyes to listen to the soft drumming of her heartbeat. "Hahaue, I'm all right," He awkwardly patted her shoulder, but he knew his mother had every right to feel worried, what happened to him, all mothers would have acted the way she did.

Kagome pulled back and placed her hand gently on her son's cheek,"You were out for quite sometime, are you really okay?" The pad of her thumb rubbed his cheek slowly, her blue eyes softened at the sadden expression her son had.

"I'm sorry, hahaue, I didn't mean to make you worry," Makoto hugged her once more and looked over his shoulder to notice his sister standing cradling herself with her arms. "Kisara," He said faintly. His sister tensed at the sound of her name, but hurried over to him. "Onii-chan!" She cried out, falling to her knees and sandwiching herself between her mother and brother, careful enough to not hurt her future sibling.

Makoto gave her a small smile when she then wrapped her arms around his waist, clinging to him. "No one will tell me anything, I was very scared, Onii-chan." Kagome gently moved her arm to place her daughter on her lap, trying to let her little boy rest from all the embraces.

Suddenly, he was whisked away from his place by his mother and sister to only be hugged by his father. A streak of pink covered his streak, slightly embarrassed, Makoto blinked several times,"Chichiue…I'm okay, really. Y-You are kind of squishing me…" Makoto trailed off when he noticed a glimmer in his father's eyes,"Chichiue?"

"Oi…can't a father hug his son?" Inuyasha muttered, closing his eyes and ignoring the smiles from his wife and daughter. Makoto gave him a few nods before relaxing in his father's hold,"I missed you so much, Chichiue."

Once notifying the pup's parents of his awakening, Nishiyo and her nephew stood out of hearing distance from the humans that occupied the front portion of the hut. Turning to her nephew with a cold sober aspect, she began to speak with him about certain complications.

"Sesshoumaru, you know I cannot forget the situation and harm your Okaa-sama had caused," Nishiyo informed, causing her eldest nephew to stop and look at her over his shoulder with alert eyes.

His lips were closed and neutral before he questioned her,"What are you implying?" His eyes narrowed at her blank expression.

Nishiyo let out a sigh,"If she harms the pups one more, she has given me no choice, I hope you know that. Whatever happens in the future, whether it be for the greater good, if InuKimi goes against our law and unleashes an attack on him or his sibling, or future siblings, it is up to myself to make the final decision."

"So you'll go against one of our own…full blooded," Sesshoumaru growled. Even if he didn't have a close relationship with his mother, he still held a great deal of care and reverence for her.

Albeit, any demon would've have disagreed such a comment as he had uttered, but it had caused the demoness to be angered. Her eyebrows low on the eyes and clearly knotted. Her mouth was compressed into a thin line and curved downwards into a frown.

"Hmm, such disrespect for you own brother? I thought you have changed Sesshoumaru. When are you going to realize that this rivalry between brothers is in the past?"

"He is a-" He began to say when he was cut off by his aunt.

Nishiyo growled menacingly,"If he were full or not, he is still a part of your family, my family. I do not care what he is, Sesshoumaru. Pay close attention Sesshoumaru, I would not like to hurt any of those I care for, but she has gone too far. If not dealt with by now, then it will be later. I'll send word out to you, my nephew." Nishiyo turned around and walked away.

"How is the young master now?" Myoga had questioned, he had returned from Tōtōsai's home, having been told of his lord's son and the inner battle he had. Kaede eyed the dog demoness who stood next to the daiyōkai, Sesshoumaru.

Myoga gazed halfway to realize who the demoness was and happily smiled,"She is of no harm, Lady Kaede. Nishiyo-sama is greatly respected by both yōkai and ningen, she holds the deep care just like how Inu no Taisho once held.

The elder miko nodded and turned to speak once more,"Makoto is fine now, I sense that both his reiki and yōki are in balance."

Myoga let out a small puff of air that he didn't know he held, surly he knew that the young master would have made it, but even with enhanced demonic hearing, he had heard Nishiyo's remark of the pall-bearers that did not appear in sight.

If his lord had heard it when it was said, he would have gone enraged, fortunately he was comforting his wife through the crisis.

"That is great news…" He stopped speaking and his brows furrowed. A deep worry consumed him as his thoughts began to gather and collide, giving him a small headache. Myoga rubbed his temples and groaned before speaking once more.

"This wouldn't happen again would it?" The flea demon inquired. He didn't want to see his lord in pain because of the conflict with his son. He has already gone through so much and if he had lost his son, Myoga shook his head a little, he didn't want to think of that.

Kaede shook her head,"No. When he grows older his powers are more stable, it is only a danger to those who are younger." Her one good eye flicked to the retreating form of Nishiyo who had said her farewells to the others.

The demoness felt someone staring at her and she and Kaede locked gazes. Nishiyo moved her head down then up slowly, a gesture of respect for the elder miko. Kaede had repeated her action and watched her promenade away.

Sesshoumaru stopped when his former vassal had ran up to him, bowing first then Kaede noticed an emotion that was always the same whenever the daiyōkai left. Loss, that is what she noticed in the young woman's eyes.

"Kaede-sama, could we perhaps check on the young master, would he need of any medicinal herbs now that he has awakened?" Myoga asked her, his four arms crossing over his chest, his head lifted up to look at the older woman who kept her gaze to the Lord of the Western Lands and Rin.

"There is no need, look now, Makoto has recovered partially," Kaede said, but her eye widened when she felt a trace of something she had sensed before, only once. That was after her onee-sama had passed.

"Is something the matter Lady Kaede?" Myoga arched a brow, sensing her uneasiness and the pale look on her face. The elder miko regained her posture as she grinned happily, the information she was processing in her head finally made sense. It would have taken Makoto longer and fallen into a deep sleep if he had not received some type of training.

"Nothing, Myoga, nothing is wrong." Kaede clasped her hand over the other behind her back, gazing up at the stars above her.

"That is a relief that he is all right," Sango said, putting her head on her husband's shoulder, her hand gripping his forearm. She was deeply concerned over the boy's well being and when she had seen her best friend, which was like a dear sister to her, made her heart break.

"Yes, I agree, Makoto is a strong, after all he takes after Kagome-sama and Inuyasha." Her husband said when he was suddenly swarmed with his children.

Sango let out a laugh when her youngest son, Shako, had tugged her kimono. His brown eyes glancing up at her,"Is Makoto better now, mama?" She nodded, scooping him up and placing a feather light kiss on his forehead.

"Yes, dear, he is. Now, why don't you go and say hello, look there he comes now." Her brown eyes flickered over to the sound of the shoji door opening and four figures emerged from inside. Kisara blissfully walked alongside of her mother, her cheeks were stained with the tears she had shed earlier on, but her eyes brightened with happiness. All because her brother that she loved so had finally returned from his slumber.

As if on cue, Makoto was the last one to emerge from the hut, ambling slowly, nearly stumbling over himself, but held onto his father's hand. Inuyasha had his hand held tightly to his son's, he wouldn't admit it to anyone, he was too damn happy to keep a glower on his face.

Like a group of scampering puppies chasing a ball, when Miroku and Sango's children noticed the half demon boy walk out and head to them, they all charged to him. Makoto was fortunate that he wasn't trampled on the ground, if it had not been for his father.

Unfortunately for his father, he was tackled by the human children, while Makoto was held back, hiding behind his mother. "Sorry Uncle Inuyasha!" The two set of twins, Keiji and Tadashi had cried out, but with pleased smiles to see Makoto well.

The young Inu-pup stared up at the night sky, a shimmer of light danced across the starry sky, a grateful smile appeared on his face. Thank you, Kikyo-sama.
