Coruscant
"Turn left! Turn left!"
Obi-Wan closed his eyes with as Anakin turned the wheel to the left,a millisecond before the cloud car hitted the building.
Anakin laughed hysterically.
"We'regoingtodieforcewe'regoingtodie" Obi-Wan covered his eyes with his hands.
Anakin wildly turned right.
"Can I get off? please?" asked Obi-Wan desperately.
"Well,there are about twenty bounty hunters after us,so..no." Said Anakin,his teeth clutched with effort.
"I'll take my chances with the bounty hunters over your driving any day."
"Oh,c'mon Obi-Wan,he was shooting us!"
"So you ran over him?"
"Well,of course."
"Can I please get off?"
"No!"
A laser beam hit the side mirror,shattering it.
"Well,you gotta give him credit for persistence." Said Anakin.
The trandoshan bounty hunter that rode the speeder hitched his grip on the rifle.
Obi-Wan took a look.
"he looks rather serious,Anakin."
"Does he?" said Anakin,not at all impressed.
"I think so,yes."
"How cute." Anakin turned the wheel,spinning the cloud car,avoiding a couple of shots.
"And he got friends."
"Really? How many?"
"About 6 of them."
"Ah."
they sat in relative quiet for a few seconds,when Anakin continued his wild evade maneuvers.
"Ah,Obi-Wan?"
"Yes?"
"Remember that you wanted to get off?"
"Yes."
"Well,You can get off now."
"You lost control on the wheel,didn't you?" sighed Obi-Wan.
"Kinda,yes."
"You know it's the fifth cloud car this month,right?" Said Obi-Wan tiredly.
"Well..It's not my fault Master Windu can't pick a cloud car!
Obi-Wan wrapped his cape and held it in his hand. He and Anakin jumped from the cloud car straight to the street.
Anakin freed himself from his cape and fell to a crouch position. his lightsaber appeared in his right hand.
the trandoshans landed their speeders in front of him.
"Game on."
He smiled,a predator smile. If the trandoshans weren't so stupid,that smile alone would make them flee.
Obi-Wan used the force to slow his fall so he could land gracefully.
"Gentlemen,I'm sure we can settle this affair in a peaceful,quiet manner."
A shot passed by Obi-Wan's ear.
"Or we will kill you all." He said with a shrug. His lightsaber ignited in his hand.
Anakin rose up,fast as a snake. A trandoshan rose his gun. It was pretty fast,really. If he would've done it even faster,maybe his head would still be on his neck.
Obi-Wan blocked two shots that were aimed to his head and stomach.
Obi-Wan cut of the arm that was holding the gun.
"Stay down,and you might live."
"No..way jedi." Growled the Trandoshan.
"You are gravely wounded. Stay down and We'll get you to a hospital."
"It's...only...a scratch."
The Trandoshan reached for his gun.
With a quick twist of his wrist,Obi-Wan cut the Trandoshan's other hand.
"Surrender."
"No..way."
"C'mon kid,you got no hands left."
"It's..a flesh wound."
"You're not very smart,aren't you?"
The Trandoshan rose up.
"What are you going to do?"
The trandoshan rose up and tried to kick Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan drove his lightsaber straight through his heart.
The trandoshan fell on his knees,looking at the hole in the middle of his chest.
"Can you get me to the hospital now,please?"
Mace Windu looked through the one-way glass at the team of sergents that worked around the Trandoshan.
"You had to stab him in the heart,didn't ya?"
"Well,he left me no choice."
"Do you have any idea how much those this surgery gonna cost the temple?"
Obi-Wan sighed. "Please,Mace,do tell me."
"Almost like the cloud car that Anakin trashed today! Where is he,by the way?"
"At senator Amidala's,briefing her about what happened today."
"So,there are some crazy trandoshan bounty hunters after my head?"
"Yes."
"That's nice." Padme shrugged.
"You seem to take it very well."
"Well,it seems that there are always crazy bounty hunters after my head." Padme lifted her eyes from the speech she was writing. "And I always get out of that."
"You mean,I always get you out of that." Said Anakin,his hands integrated.
"Yeah,right."
"What does that suppose to mean?"
"Who got you out of that nest of Kardu birds?"
"You."
"And who killed the assassin that aimed for the chancellor just when you decided that you want step near him?"
"...You did." Admitted Anakin.
"And who got you out from Jabba's palece?"
"You did! but that's not the point!"
Padme raised an eyebrow.
"So what's the point,my Jedi knight on a white horse?"
"Who saved you in Genosis?"
"In what point? when I was fighting the crazed Nexu by myself or when I grabbed a gun and shot the droids beside you,or the point when I fell from the gunship 5 meters to the sand and you didn't came for me?"
"Ah..Eh.."
"Or when I pulled together a bunch of clones and came after you,while you got your hand cut off?"
"Okay,Okay! I got it."
Anakin sat on the couch.
"So,you're not going to get off-planet?"
"No."
"So,senator Amidala will not let the Jedi order escort her out of Coruscant?"
"No,master Fisto,she won't." Said Anakin.
"Then,we will allocate a Jedi knight to protect her." Said master Windu. "What about you,Kit?"
Kit took a quick look at Aayla.
"Ah.." He swallowed. "I believe that I have..other things to do,master Windu."
"Master Windu,I can be Senator's Amidala bodyguard." Said Anakin.
"Very well,then. Anakin,you will be the senator's bodyguard until the council will release you from that duty."
Well,that was Part one of a three parter arc about Anakin and Padme.
