Hi minna-san! I'm here with another chapter! I hope you like it, did I mention that being sick is troublesome.
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own Makoto and Kisara.

The birds chirped as the sun was high in the sky and the trees swayed one with the wind in a graceful dance. The rays of the sun grazed over the rice patties and the villagers who walked in and out.
Kagome brushed her bangs away from her eyes, out with an errand with Kaede, the two of them breathing in the fresh spring air. All seemed relaxed on this day, yet it couldn't be the same for the young miko. She let out a sigh as her thoughts wandered to her son. From one's eyes Makoto did appear to be fine, however, he looked out to be a little restless.
"Ye seems to be unsettled," Kaede had announced, looking worriedly at her student who was lost in thought. Kagome sighed and placed the herb she had in hand onto her lap. The miko's eyebrows drooped a little as her mind wandered to her eldest child. "I suppose I am, aren't I?" Kagome questioned.
Her shoulders rose up into a more tensed state, her bottom lip quivered and she blinked her eyes rapidly to fight back the tears,"I mean it is not like every mother who has a half-demon son who was on the brink of life and death cannot be anymore worried than I am."
The elder miko patted her hand and nodded,"Aye, I know child." Even if she couldn't empathize with the situation Kagome was in, due to never having a child - or a hanyō child at that - Kaede could see the sheer panic in her features. Then she looked at her student in the eye.
"Makoto's recovery has astounded me, Kagome. I am not aware if ye has been informed that his aura had a…transitory affect after he returned." Indeed, the young half-dog demon child had speedy recovery and that she knew that her older deceased sister was partially involved in his act to come back to the land of the living.
Kagome blinked twice at the information,"Transitory affect? Of what, Kaede-obaasan?" She straightened up at the news, panicking a little for the safety of her son. She didn't want any harm to be inflicted upon her only son.
Kaede gave Kagome a smile, one to let her know that nothing would go wrong. "Kikyo-oneesama was the one to help him guide his way to balance his reiki and yōki. I only sensed her soul for a mere second, but it gave me enough time to recognize it."
The young miko didn't know it was Kikyo who had helped her son and she blinked various times,"Even after death, Kikyo is there to help," A smile graced her features,"Thank you." Kagome had whispered and as an answer, the wind blew around her.

"Eh?" Naoko and the twins exclaimed in sheer shock. Sakura and Haruka exchanged looks as well as Naoko, the half-demon girl stared at her silver-haired friend.
"Onii-chan had gone off with Chichiue, he said that he had to pay his respects to the miko who helped him when he was unconscious," Kisara answered. She lifted her hands to tie a white ribbon to hold her hair up. Now that the spring weather has arrived, the days seemed to be much hotter every now and then.
Kisara scrunched her nose when it began to tickle as a breeze passed. Sakura pressed a finger to her lips,"It must be Kaede-sama's sister, Kikyo-sama. Mother and father had spoken of her and she seemed to be a real nice person, but I wouldn't know, she had died before we were born. I haven't heard so much about her other than that she looked after the Shikon no Tama."
Haruka held her hand up knowingly,"Kikyo-sama was indeed the guardian of the powerful jewel. She was actually revived by a demon ogress named Urasue with using grave soil-" Then she paused and her navy-blue eyes shifted over to her silver-haired friend. "-and Kagome-obasan's soul because Kagome-obasan was her reincarnation. But, she died for a second time peacefully, that's what our papa said."
"Onii-chan says that he met Kikyo-sama," Kisara muttered, her thumb placed lightly on her chin as her hand was clenched together. Two pairs of eyes widened and the twins looked at one another once more.
Sakura tilted her head towards her sister,"But wouldn't Makoto-kun have to be-" Haruka nodded, finishing her last words,"He would have to be in the other world."
Naoko gulped, the young hanyō didn't like to think of one of her closest friends dead, not for a single second. "Was it okay for your Otou-san to walk with him?" She asked. Her fingers fumbled as she held her arms to her sides.
Kisara gave her a nod,"Mhm. Onii-chan didn't want to be stuck in the hut for more than an hour, he hates being inside for too long. So he asked our Chichiue if he can pay his respects to Kikyo-sama. Chichiue was silent for a little while but then gave him an answer when they began to walk in the direction I've seen Chichiue and Hahaue take."
"Naoko!" Four heads turned to see Harumi, her mother, with a broad smile as she walked up to them.
"Good afternoon girls," Harumi said, looking at them all and they bowed in respect, exchanging their hellos. "I hope you don't mind me taking Naoko for a little while." The brown haired woman stared at her daughter to pivot to her side. Strapped on her back was food for the afternoon and evening. Naoko nodded and smiled, waving goodbye. "I'll be right back."
Sakura turned to Kisara, after having waving farewell to their friend,"Makoto-kun is getting better right? He won't fall to that kind of state again, will he?" The nine year old looked at her, concern shone in her navy-blue eyes, her bottom lip curved downward in worry. Her eyebrows knitted together enough to create a furrow. Kisara shook her head,"No."
Haruka let out a small giggle, all worry gone from her countenance as well as her sister's, as she covered her mouth to suppress her laughter. Kisara's ears twitched when Sakura had joined in. "Uh? What's going on?" She pouted wonderingly.
"It is a good thing, Naoko-chan was very worried for Makoto like you were Kisara-chan," Haruka said, her laughter now dying down as she chuckled to herself. The Inu-pup tilted her head in confusion, her blue eyes in curiosity.
"What do you mean, Haruka-chan?" Kisara questioned the human girl who crossed her arms over her chest, yet lifting her hand to snap her thumb and middle finger. At this, the young half demon child was at lost, not having a clue at what her friends were trying to say in their expressions.
Both girls had that twinkle in their eyes and Kisara pouted even more, wanting to get involved and told what was occurring. Sakura sighed in despair, knowing fully well that her dear friend was confused, she placed a hand softly on her shoulder.
"Kisara-chan, hasn't it been obvious that Naoko-chan likes your onii-chan?" Sakura asked her, eyes blinking down at the five year old. "It is only a silly kiddy crush, but when they are older, can you imagine Haruka! They will be so adorable."
Kisara shrugged when the twins were squealing and jumping together, hands clasped with their own as they jumped in circles. I don't get it, I know Naoko-chan likes my onii-chan, she's his friend.

Inuyasha stood a foot behind his son, his golden orbs staring down at him, but he'd look off to the villagers passing, giving them both smiles.
Makoto had his eyes closed and prayed to the deceased miko. For she was the one to help him regain control, no longer did his powers get out of hand. It took a lot of work for him to perfect his powers. His barriers were even more stronger, durable and deadlier.
"She was really nice Chichiue," Makoto said, his hands that were clasped together lowered, his eyelids fluttered open. "She was," Inuyasha said in a whisper.
The discussion over the miko was more of an awkward conversation with his father, Makoto had noticed. "Chichiue, you knew her before, right? Kikyo-sama liked to help a lot of people and she didn't hesitate to help me when I was gone."
Inuyasha smiled and ruffled his son's hair,"Ah…She did kiddo, Kikyo wasn't a bad person. She just had a lot over her shoulders because of the Shikon no Tama."
Makoto nodded,"Even if she is not here, when I was in the other world, Kikyo-sama looked happy behind her facade. She's happy for you Chichiue. Even if she never became an ordinary woman here, she is there."

"Do you think Naoko-chan knows that…" The twins were speaking to each other, but what Kisara was more concentrated in was the rustling of the trees that made the young Inu-pup turn and scrunch her nose. "Kisara-chan, why don't we go and help Naoko-chan, I'm sure that she is nearly done with her chores!"
Her ear flicked and swiveled to signal that she was listening, but Kisara held a hand to hush her. Sakura and Haruka exchanged looks, but they knew something was wrong. Kisara growled, her eyes narrowed in concentration. The girl bounded into the forest. The twins launched to reach before she could move, but neither their reflexes could stop the Inu-pup.
"Kisara-chan!" Sakura shouted. "Not again!" Haruka said, groaning. The Inu-pup had been coming in and out of the forest every once in a while. It started with either a twig snapping like she'd comment on or the bushes moving.
"It will be a rabbit like last time." Sakura said, sitting down and waiting for her friend. Haruka's lips thinned into a line and her eyes concentrated on a figure on the trees. Makoto-kun? She thought at first but she gaped when a tail had flicked and moved on the branch.
Kisara growled as she had chased the demon deeper into the forest. Her parents didn't know of her sneaking off, but she knew that her uncle knew. He had once stumbled across one of her chases in her father's forest before. But she knew he wasn't going to be in the forest this time around, for she was alone.
The figure had started to pick up speed and she did as well. You won't get away this time, Kisara was determined to have the demon brought down. Her arm extended out to her side, her claws sharpened and grew a few centimeters, and a subtle glow came on the tips.
With a swift agility, her hand flicked forwards and blades of light yellow spiraled out, hitting the branches and cutting two trees in half. The demon had used their quick reflexes and managed to jump of the tree it had used to jump upon, seconds later it came crashing down.
Kisara looked up to see a figure fly over her and she gasped when a sword was hurling towards her, she placed pressure on her right foot to lean and jump to the side. Kisara clenched her jaw as the sword went passed her by only centimeters from her face, cutting a few strands of her hair. "Kya!" She squealed in alarm but regained her posture and darted to her right.
The two figures stopped and stood feet away. "I'll go ahead," one had commented to the other. Kisara wanted to sneeze, Definitely cats.
Author's Note
Sadly, I still not over the flu, doc says that it'll take a week. It isn't so bad though but I'm getting annoyed of staying in bed so much. The weather here is driving me crazy, one day its warm the next its cold then raining, grrr I wish summer was here. It took me a while to have this up. I've been on deviant art most of the time, my sister was nice enough to time up the chapter for me.
