It felt like forever since I wrote the last chapter, well for me it has. Exams have been a real bother lately, I don't mind them, but when teachers bundle them up all in one day, it will suck the life out of you. Enjoy minna-san, I hope you like it!

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own Makoto, Kisara, Jirou and Izayoi, Nishiyo, Sadao, and Rikuto and Akuhei, wow, I hope the listen doesn't go on.

The ear piercing cry had woken up most of the residents in the somewhat huge hut they lived in. It was a cry that had rattled the little patience of a six year old Inu hanyō child.

Makoto sat up from his futon, rubbing his eyes lazily and yawning widely, his tongue curling as he did so. Arms stretched out to fall back to his side, Makoto gazed around the fairly dark room, as only a portion of the moon's light came from the window, but it was now leaving the night sky as dawn was arriving.

Soon another infant's cry sounded off and he chose to fall backwards into his comfortable sofa bed. He knew that his ears were plastered onto his head and he wished for silence just for several minutes.

Turning to his right side to gaze at where his sister was sleeping on the other side of the room, Makoto couldn't help but glare at his younger sibling. She wasn't bothered by the cries at all, it seemed as if they were only an insignificant sound in her ears that she couldn't hear.

How he envied her for the current situation, he had the urge to wake her up, but he didn't have the heart to do it.

"There…there…" He lifted himself up from his futon, his puppy ears twitching to hear his mother's voice from the other side of the wooden wall. If only the cries stopped at that moment, but it felt as if time was endless before they completely stopped.

The past week was harsh on the young Inu-pup. Since he was such a light sleeper, every single night he would wake up to the wails of his younger siblings. It was either they wanted to be changed, held, or given food.

If he considered the time when Kisara was only a newborn, and if he remembered correctly, she cried most of the time. However, this time it was much worse, for he couldn't sleep after he would be woken up. If Jirou were to let out a cry, Izayoi would follow suit, as she would be woken up by the rude awakening.

"There they go again." Makoto turned his head to see his brother, Shippo, rubbing his eyes from the lack of sleep. A day after the twins were born, Shippo's visit was certainly a surprise for him, as he recalled that the kitsune wouldn't come back a month later.

Although, Makoto was certainly happy that his brother was able to come earlier than expected, but he was quiet saddened that he would have to leave a week after he arrived. "Mhm, Shippo-onii-chan, was I this bad when I was that small?" Makoto couldn't help but question.

Shippo, stretched as he sat up on the futon he slept in, smiling at the young and curious Inu-pup. He hasn't felt at home in a long time, as he was constantly training and taking the fox demon exam. After all the years, he has grown, only two feet and was working on gaining his second tail.

The kitsune nodded,"Sure you were, all pups and kits are like that when they are born. It won't be long before they stop and they should after a week or two after their birth."

Makoto flicked his ear to hear footsteps heading to their room, and soon enough his father slid the door open to check on them. "Good morning Chichiue," Makoto said, rubbing his red and tired eyes to focus his vision on his father.

Inuyasha knelt beside his son to ruffle his hair a bit. "Morning, pup, why don't you get some sleep. It is too early for you to be awake. The sun doesn't rise for another hour or two." He turned his head to look at the kitsune,"You too Shippo, you got to leave later don't you? The fox council won't be pleased if you fall asleep during your exam."

Shippo groaned in dismay, the test he were to take was to test how far and strong he had gotten since the beginning of his training. "I don't understand why those old geezers want to test me anyway."

A female chuckle sounded from the door, and in came Kagome carrying Izayoi in her arms, rocking the now sleeping infant. "You get that from your father," Kagome smiled at her husband who crossed his arms sheepishly, letting out his infamous 'keh'.

"Well, now that we are all awake,–" The young mother began to say when her son had pointed to the sleeping figure of his sister. "–At least most of us, I'll get started on breakfast."

Kisara rubbed her eyes as she woke up from the sweet smell of breakfast that crept into her nose. "Eh…" She yawned and stretched her arms out from the slumber she had had. "That was a good sleep," She mumbled, rubbing her eyes some more.

Patting her futon as she fixed the light sheets on it, Kisara stumbled over to the exit of the entrance of her room.

Walking into the room where her family members were, she had said her 'good mornings' to her mother, hugging her around her waist and kissing her father on the cheek. The Inu-pup sat on the wooden floor beside the little basket where her siblings were.

"Good morning, Jirou," She smiled at the infant that blinked up at her. Jirou's fist latched onto her finger and she had tried to pried it away from him. However, it was too cute for her to take her finger away. "I didn't forget you Izayoi," Kisara said, giggling at the infant that made a few babbling noises that captured her attention.

"Sweetheart, why don't you sit with your brother and eat breakfast. You must be hungry," Kagome had settled a bowl of the breakfast she had prepared for her family, smiling happily at how content her son ate and indulged himself in her food as did her husband. The ingredients were somewhat different from she was use to when she spent most of her life in the modern era, but she managed to create foods with the help of Sango and Kaede-obaa-chan.

"Okay, Hahaue," She took one glance at her sibling and noticed her finger free from Jirou's grasp. Letting a sigh escape from her lips, Kisara got up and hurriedly went to the seating cushion next to her brother. She wanted to play with her youngest siblings and have a little time with them.

Usually her father would take them out for a walk in the morning and have a family time in the meadow where the well is located, but they haven't gone ever since her siblings were born.

Kisara ate the last bit of her tsukemono, pickles in which her mother would give her sometimes in the mornings, and looked at her father,"Chichiue, will we be going to the well today? Jirou and Izayoi haven't seen it yet and you could tell us how you and hahaue met."

Inuyasha gazed at his wife to see if they were able to go, he really need her approval, but she was often worried if there was a demon attack. "I don't see why not, it would be great to go out for once this week," Kagome smiled at her husband.

Kisara giggled when she noticed Shippo jump up in alarm when Jirou had seen his fluffy tail. It reminded her of her uncle's mokomoko-sama. Looking up at the wall above her, she wondered what her uncle was doing at the moment.

Once breakfast was finished and the twins were fed, the children had gotten water from the basin and they readied themselves to go out for the day.

"I'll get Jirou ready, you can spend your time talking to Shippo once I'm done," Kagome said to her husband then walked over to the baskets where her twins were. "How is my little one today, hmm?" Kagome picked up Jirou slowly and held him in her arms. Kagome turned her head over to stare at Inuyasha, smiling she said,"I will be back for Izayoi, she was just fed and Jirou ate earlier than she did."

Kagome had disappeared and used the bucket that Sango had given to her just a day after the twins were born. A wash cloth was on her shoulder and another cloth to wrap him up was on top of it. "A bath would be good for you, I know you hate them." She muttered when he began to let out a whimpering cry.

A half hour later, Kagome had Jirou strapped onto her back. Much like the way Sango had Tadashi when she had first came back from the three long years of her separation. Izayoi was currently and safety placed in the carrier on her husband's back.

Kagome's arms were under the carrier as she watched her daughter run in front of them, giggling in content as she and Makoto raced through the trees. "It is a peaceful day today," She remarked while the birds in the trees chirped away.

Inuyasha nodded and smiled her way when she looked at him. "Yeah, must be because they aren't crying anymore." Kagome would have hit him on his shoulder playfully but she rolled her eyes instead.

"Where are Miroku and Sango?" Shippo asked, wanting to bid them farewell, the day was certainly a nice one but unfortunately time was going to fast.

"I'm sure the fox elders would let you stay at least one more day, Shippo-chan," Kagome said, looking at her adopted son in dismay, she hasn't seen her kitsune for a month and now that he returned a week ago, it felt like forever since she really got to speak with him.

"I don't think they'll like it if I came late, Okaa-san, they would be pretty mad if I do."

Sighing in defeat, the young mother had told him they were by the river. They usually went whenever it was a cloudless day and often helped Kaede. "I'll be back in a few," Shippo transformed into his pink balloon self and floated away.

"Don't worry about him, he'll be fine," Inuyasha said, continuing in the path of the well.

Kagome nodded and walked alongside of him,"I know but when was the last time he really stayed and spoke with us. He was only with us for a week, but most of the time he was speaking with Kaede. Do you think something is wrong? I mean, we heard rumors of some kind of demon out in search by Nishiyo-sama."

"Keh, it must be those panther bas-…" He corrected himself when she arched a brow his way, knowingly apprehending him for nearly using vulgar language in front of the infants. "There ain't nothing to be afraid of Kagome, I'm here and I'll protect all of you."

Kagome smile broadened his way,"And that's why I'm not worried, dearest."

"Hahaue! Chichiue! You two are walking too slow! The shout of their oldest daughter echoed in the forest and they both laughed.

Kisara settled under the shade provided by the tree in which the family of six sat under,"Hahaue, were you worried when Chichiue turned into a human for the first time."

Kagome held Izayoi, her daughter's head was close to her chest, and sliding the other from her bottom up to support Izayoi's neck. Kagome moved her daughter's head to the crook of her arm to get a better hold on her daughter.

"I was very scared and worried," Kagome said, gazing into the chocolate eyes of her daughter,"Your father was strong, but he was also badly hurt."

Inuyasha looked at her in the corner of his eye as he held Jirou,"It was my mistake in not telling you."

Kagome nodded,"And you were too stubborn to admit that you needed some help. I wouldn't have left you, you know, no matter how many times you told me to."

Kisara smiled when she noticed her father's face flush a deep red as he looked at Jirou. Makoto currently sat next to him and smiled at his parents.

"Izayoi, you are so cute," Kisara cooed at her sister, and watched as her sibling's ear perked up a little at the small laughter that came from her. Kagome peered down at her daughter and watched as Izayoi babbled at the closeness of her and Kisara.

"Can I teach him how to hunt?" Makoto questioned, wanting to see his brother and get to hold him if he continued to pester his father. "Sure pup, but you would have to learn more if you want to teach him," Inuyasha retorted and then gazed farther out to where he noticed a figure standing in the distance.

"Sesshoumaru's here," He said, his golden-amber eyes narrowing at the silhouette that came into view. "What does he want?"

"Dearest, you could go speak with him, there is no point in getting angered at him over the situation that happened months ago," Kagome tried to reason with her husband before. She really didn't want the two brother's fighting all the time, especially in front of her children.

"All right, but if he says anything, I won't hold back."

Makoto was soon instructed on to holding his brother. "Careful with his head, pup. Infants are very fragile in their first few months." Makoto nodded and held his brother much like the way his mother did, but he was still unsure if he was doing it right.

"Aw, I wanted to hold him." Kisara was completely oblivious to the small situation that was taking place. Kagome watched Inuyasha zip towards the edge of the clearing and the two brothers disappeared from her sight.

"I hope you won't fight with your brother, I don't want the house to be destroyed," She said, stifling a laugh when Izayoi scrunched her nose up at her.

I decided to not write what I previously wrote for this chapter. Mainly because what I wrote was deleted, all thanks to my computer and I had saved it, my computer is weird. Most of the next chapter is written out. But I won't be able to post it, unless I have free time. Final exams are coming up again and I have them all this week and the next two week. Where I am, we have regents exams and I have to study and focus on them.
